        There is nothing wrong with diversity. There is something sick about wanting to discriminate based on the color of peoples' skin (not the content of their characters) in order to have diversity.

      All of the "models" are various homogeneous friends of mine who happened to find themselves near my garage between April-July 2007. Granted, most were lured with beer, food, lodging, or in one case...meat.

So he should seek out other races just to please overly sensitive racial crusaders? An artificial representation of racial distribution in a population is more wrong than the opposite because it is artificial and panders to political correctness (which is worst enemy of artistic expression and free speech). So give it a rest. If they were wearing swastikas, you might have a point.

      There is a natural tendency to assume that if the origin is the US, that some thought to diversity might occur (as opposed to say a Chinese rendition of the same humancalendar)... And, really, even the name itself evokes (to me) a slight sense of 'humanity'.

      I don't think anyone would spout racism claims if it were called "theportlandwhitehipsteryuppiecalendar.com". And, checking Godaddy, the domain is still available!

To make it really cool, it should be "interactive" - upload your own pics, and have each pageload produce a random mish-mosh of "users" of the site... Maybe with clickable mini-profiles, and the ability to tag/rate users. Then you could have like the glasses calendar, the hotties calendar, the old dudes calendar, etc.

    In early 2002, I set off to ride my bicycle around the continent of Australia. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere I was thinking about a lot of random things at once. Whatever day this was, I happened to be thinking about computers and a girl. Specifically, about the then-upcoming humanclock.com redesign and Marcia Brady. Where should I put the calendar on the clock site? What square did Marcia Brady occupy during the start of The Brady Bunch? Thoughts of "gridded people" and calendars meshed into one. Although I wrote most of the code in 2003, it still took another four years and several practice attempts to finish the Human Calendar.

    Where the ***** do you people get your spare time/money? I wish I had time to ride a bike around Australia!
