      I think people thought it was more like permanently removing finger nails when in actuality the only way to declaw a cat is to remove the last joint in there paws(basically like cutting off all your fingers tips at the first knuckle).

      The United States is one of the few western nations that it's still legal I think.

Yes, the flatten their ears, hiss and bat at the dog, but the claws never come out. Hell, my Beagle will full-on tackle my big orange alley-cat like she's a linebacker, and the cat's claws never come out.

      Don't worry, the cat gets the beagle back on his own terms. He'll hide on the couch and pounce on the beagle as she's coming around the corner. Then when it's over, they lie on the couch together and groom each other.

      My point? I'm glad you asked. What looks like a cat beating up on a poor Pug puppy could simply be a game they play. People need to quit bitching about how bad the owners are.
