Nevermind the cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, horses, even fishes that are put onto display by many a "har harrer" here.
Why not let them be proud of their heritage? They are taking good care of animals, instead of ... say: buying another golden chandelier.
There is enough to criticize about Saudi Arabia, but no..., "har harring", like a group of giggling school-girls.
The radicalism in Saudi Arabia stems from the stranglehold of the dominant Wahhabi interpretation of Islam (the stoning, and hacking off limbs and stuff).
The now oil-rich goat- and camel-herd wandering shepherd families have arrived in the 21st century all right (see Dubai, U.A.E etcet.), but the strong influence of the imams over politics lames many from adapting, instead it creates (typical) schizophrenic "double-life" situations, where on the surface "all seems well", but underground "the real stuff" thrives, you bet-cha, they won't acknowledge it, but you better believe it. Oppression creates excesses.
There is a willingness to change, but simply not the hollow "freedom and democracy" slogans, that amounted to bombings of the past.
An Islamic "compromise" (a 21 century version) would want to keep it's core values, for example: NO interest on loans (RIBA!, see "financial system collapse", a.k.a. unprecedented general screw-over), a return to the Qu'ran only, the Hadith, as politically motivated interpretations and additions, should be interpreted that way, and not abused for political motives.
The future of countries like Saudi-Arabia is very important for both you and the rest of the world. Don't underestimate the possible damage.
There needs to emerge a call of reason, the hate- and fear-mongering innocence- and stupidity-abusers need to be put a stranglehold on, only then can we find a way to create some sort of sustainable "together", instead of an artificially generated "Apocalypse", that would "serve it's purpose" by diminishing the amount of humans on earth (some really believe this would be a good thing).
The connections between the wealth of ones, versus the misery of others are oft forgotten.

Why can't you accept that if something is different I may in fact find it funny and laugh at it. It's the general willingness to "laugh off" at their "enemies"...
First of all: I don't think they are necessarily your enemies, and secondly: I don't think there is a reason to "laugh at them", since there are plenty of compareable events happening around the U.S. of A. (for example) too.
