- gemon2, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2He shouldn't be a criminal. But I think now that the legality (or lack thereof) of marijuana has nothing to do with toxicity. It has to do with job security. Drug enforcement is an industry like any other - billions of dollars of tax money paying for tens of thousands of police oficers, prison guards and politicians. The politicians won't part with this industry. Check out my video blog for full details:http://iamseudonim.blogspot.com/2008/09/employment ...

- Dalebert, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Without cannabis, the rest of the drug war will collapse which is why they fight for it so desperately even while knowing how absurd it's starting to sound. They justify the number of intrusive searches they do by finding cannabis. They don't find the other stuph nearly often enough to justify them. They also fund much of the drug war with property confiscated over cannabis violations. The drug war, and primarily the cannabis portion, is an excellent way for them to legitimize their massive theft operations.
