- Icebird, on 07/09/2008, -2/+15Wow, I love how CNN quotes the non-partisan Tax Policy Institute and shows in a graph a comparison of McCain and Obama policies without ever saying that 90% of American's are actually getting a larger tax cut under Obama than McCain. They clearly show if you make less than 125,000$ -- you'll get a higher tax break, and it just so happens that 90% of the country is in that range... gotta love MSM.

The thing I have found most difficult to understand is why my conservative family members tend to be republican when it has routinely been the republicans who have passed laws that are antithetical to our national theme. Republican leaders have too often acted as if our country was organized around the needs (and greeds) of large corporations. Whatever happened to We, The People? Democrats went too far in the other direction, perhaps, of encouraging a welfare mentality. That is what is so great about Barack Obama. He is the only leader to come around in my entire lifetime who is capable of bringing about a nation of people who can be compassionate, fair, AND responsible.
