- gbudavid, on 11/29/2008, -2/+6I was way wrong when I said Hillary Clinton would never be Secretary of State. Am I wrong to dismiss Palin as a serious contender?,,,, Yes
- Ralphdraw3, on 11/29/2008, -4/+3Palin reminds me of Bush - dumb, sloppy, ambitious but likable
SHE IS THE PERFECT SUCCESSOR TO GEORGE W.!!!! - Indyanna, on 11/29/2008, -1/+5"I was way wrong when I said Hillary Clinton would never be Secretary of State. Am I wrong to dismiss Palin as a serious contender?"
Since you're asking...yes, I think so. On the other hand, I was way wrong when I said there was no way under the sun Bill Clinton would win a second term. - scroogereport, on 11/29/2008, -2/+3I was one of the last holdouts. I defended her tooth and nail.....until she did an interview in front of a turkey being slaughtered. Then, I realized she was not as bright as I gave her credit for.
- Indyanna, on 11/29/2008, -3/+1?? I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that, but here's a response what I think you meant:
For one thing, she wasn't the one holding the camera. It was the cameraman who kept taping at that angle, and it was their film editor who kept it as is.
And if it's the turkey slaughtering that offends you, then anyone who has ever stood in front of a meat counter at the grocery store is just as "guilty" as she is.- cquinnd, on 11/29/2008, -0/+3Being aware of your surroundings and having the ability to move somewhere else so the cameraman would have to choose a different angle, or simply being able to choose another time and place for an interview are important skills for someone aspiring of a career in politics.
Turkey slaughtering is fine if you are filming an episode of Dirty Jobs. But it provides an uneeded distraction when the focus is supposed to be on the person being interviewed.

- normlsparky, on 11/29/2008, -1/+2The high search engine numbers do not mean she is a rising political star. The original article at Politico mentions that the turkey video and SNL skits had reached "most watched" status on Youtube. People are searching for her name to watch these videos. In other words, they are laughing AT Palin, not with her. After all of the videos mocking her, showing witch doctors removing evil spirits from her and praying for a pipeline, I think it is safe to say her political career is finished. I'm sure she hasn't figured this out yet. Her IQ was never one of her strong points. Many of her followers are probably just as slow witted as she is, but eventually they will see the light as she fades away into political obscurity.
- JD52, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1Of course she's a moron. I'd still blow a snot in her ass.
