I hate to say it. I really, really hate to say it. I wan't to give all people the benefit of the doubt, and I don't like to paint with a brush any broader than necessary. But sooner or later all freedom loving people will realize it, so I'll just say it now.
The enemy is Islam.
There ya go. Flame me for being a bigot. It doesn't feel good to even think it, but sometimes the truth hurts.
It is regrettable. I know that all individual Muslims are not the problem. That would be an asinine conclusion for one to draw. Good people and bad people come in all stripes.
But one cannot ignore the fact that the driving force behind the hatred of the Islamo-fascists is the religion of Islam. They believe that in waging Jihad, they are following the will of Allah, and these Muslims exist in sufficient numbers to draw the conclusion that Islam must be dealt with as an enemy. Most of the Muslims who do not subscribe to this fanaticism are unwilling to even speak out against it, at least not in numbers that matter.
If we aren't willing to even admit who and what our enemy is, we will lose the epic war for the survival of western civilization, and either be killed, or live under Sharia Law in Dhimmitude.- ashika, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Islamo-fascists just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it, little Hannity. I defy you to get an authentic world-view, one not packaged and sold(cheaply) like so much bacon.
- JohnboiWaltune, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Yes, in Germany around 1937, a militaristic nationalist government arose, and soon there were the first rumblings about Judaism being the "enemy", when all they were was a convenient scapegoat for expanding the government's fascist policies. Thanks for not learning anything about history, sheep.
- david76, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6So, were Christians the enemy during the crusades?
- sapo916, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Well tell me then why there isnt a majority involvement with the European and East Asian if the enemy is Islam. You act as if Americans wouldnt do the same thing if their country was a victim, except of course you would view as heroic, not as terrorism.
Take away Israels toys and the operators that consider civilan casualties as acceptable, talk about no heart. Wouldnt it be nice if SWAT just rolled up with a few 50 cal machine guns and just shot the crap out of the target completely oblivious to hostages and all the surroundings. Five of my twelve translations of the Qur'an were combined to create the most accurate conveyance of the message possible. However, the writing quality is so poor, the proofreaders of this manuscript suggested that I help Allah and Muhammad out by cleaning up their grammar, punctuation, and verbosity."

Were Jews the fastest growing religion in Germany?
Was pork not allowed to be served in hospitals or prisons for fear of insulting jews?
Were the jews celebrating suicude bombers?

I knew the wake-up call on 9/11/01 was only going to last a little while for the immature. The kidz began testing the waters of liberal moral relativism as soon as it was politically expedient, and now they are more unhinged than ever before. Maybe it's going to take the loss of a whole American city, or a biological weapons epidemic for them to face the reality that whether it fits comfortably into their ideology, THE ENEMY IS ISLAM.
Of course, many of the far left kooks would prefer that America get bloodied again. Freaks like the Sheehan-beast would prefer that America didn't exist at all. - therealduckie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Bush is a horrible president, and here's why:
- He won the Presidency after a highly contested election in which he lost the popular vote.
- He took office, was told by Clinton's outgoing people that Bin Laden was the biggest threat, and was handed a plan to deal with it.
- He ignored terrorism for 9 months.
- During this time his signature policies were whoring for the religious right (prohibiting federal funding of stem cells and funnelling tax dollars to churches through "faith based initiatives") and tax cuts which were little more than a Billions of dollars giveaway to the wealthiest Americans.
- He went on vacation for 5 weeks in August while warning sirens about terrorist activity were going off all over the place. During this time he was handed a memo titled "Bin Laden determined to attack US"; he didn't ask any questions about it.
- On September 11, the worst attack on American soil in history occurred; Bush sat in a classroom like a deer in headlights after being told this.
- Almost immediately, according to reports, the Administration wanted to pin this on Saddam.
- He then signed the Orwellian-sounding Patriot Act, one of the biggest curtailments of civil liberties ever, and has defended it strongly since.
- He opposed setting up the Department of Homeland Security before he was forced to flip flop on the issue.
- He opposed a 9/11 commission; and later refused to testify for it, finally doing so off the record, not under oath, and with Cheney by his side.
- As commander in chief, he botched the best chance we had to get Bin Laden, who remains at large five years after 9/11.
- By mid 2002, Afghanistan was all but abandoned (allowing for the Taliban resurgence of the last year or so), as the focus had shifted to justifying an invasion of Iraq (and the need to make "The facts fit the policy", according to Downing Street Memos)
- He ran up the biggest deficit in history and all but destroyed our budget; there was no spending bill he didn't like - he was worse than any "tax and spend liberal" that came before.
- He lies. About everything.
- He timed the fearmongering about Iraq to strengthen the Republican majority for the 2002, in other words, he picked the time for this war for political gain.
- He lied and misled about *everything* regarding Iraq, from WMD's to terrorist links and its relationship to 9/11.
- When he was called on one of his lies (in the SOTU no less), his Administration (with his knowledge) revealed the identity of an active undercover CIA agent, jeopardizing national security by doing so.
- Despite his pledge to fire anyone involved with the leak (which he authorized) and get to the bottom of it (guess he never asked Rove, Cheney, or Libby about it), no one has yet been fired over it.
- In March 2003 he launched a "pre-emptive" war against Iraq, without any meaningful international support for the action
- "Mission Accomplished"
- He ignored any generals who told him there weren't enough troops or that the troops didn't have enough supplies. "The army you have, not the army you wish you have"
- Widespread looting, increasing violence, and an insurgency and civil war followed, thanks to mismanagement of the war. Iraq became Vietnam II.
- Meanwhile, he held prisoners in Guantanamo Bay without charges being brought against them, access to attorney's, or any of the other rights we're supposed to be defending.
- He held an American citizen without those same constitutional protections.
- His Administration formed a policy of torture (the guy who signed the torture memo later became AG) which led to Abu Graib; doing irreperable damage to human rights, the war effort, and our image.
- In continuing his whoring for the religious right, he backed a constitutional amendment to enshrine bigotry against gays into the constitution (history will show him on the wrong side here).
- Meanwhile, North Korea was allowed to develop nuclear weapons and test fire missiles (you know, the reasons we went into Iraq).
- He wins re-election by the slimmest margin ever for an incumbant president (and under shady circumstances in Ohio), and declares he has a "mandate" to continue his neocon policies.
- I'm not even sure why he wanted re-election, as being President is such "hard work".
- He tries and fails to destroy social security.
- The economy is a mess. The war is a disaster. Everything's going to hell. Bush busts through the record for most days spent on vacation for any President, with three years to spare. He spent 20% of his time as President on vacation.
- He doesn't want to cut his vacation short to deal with Hurricane Katrina. Neither does the rest of his Administration for that matter. Condy was shoe shopping in NY, IIRC.
- He says "No one could have predicted the levies would break". He was told, two days before they broke, that that would happen.
- But "Brownie" did a "Heckuva job" dealing with it.
- Bush embarked on a frightening power grabs for the executive branch, basically asserting dictatorial powers when offering legal justifications.
- He used the NSA to track and tap domestic phone calls without warrants; without congressional approval or judicial oversight.
- He tracked the financial transactions of Americans, again without Congress or the Judiciary.
- He'd wanted to hand over our ports to the UAE, before public pressure forced a flip flop on that.
- Meanwhile, he was up to his neck in one of the most corrupt congresses in history; being good friends with Tom Delay and Jack Abromoff (and Ken Lay, for that matter).
Feel free, neo-pets, to refute ANY of this. - chachie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So basically you use a list of terrorist killers as a soapbox to explain "why you hate" a politician,, brilliant. On July 28, Naveed Haq -- who holds an engineering degree from Washington State University -- barged into the offices of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, announced "I am a Muslim American angry at Israel," and shot a 58-year-old woman to death. Five other women, one of them pregnant, were also shot.
In March, Iranian-born Mohammed Taheri-azar, a psychology major at the University of North Carolina, intentionally rammed a car into a crowd of students, hitting nine of them. He said he wanted to "avenge the death of Muslims around the world."
In June, Michael Julius Ford killed one person and injured five when he opened fire at a Denver warehouse, before he was shot dead by a SWAT officer. His sister told the Denver Post: "He told me that Allah was going to make a choice and it was going to be good and told me people at his job [were] making fun of his religion."
