        Sorry asswipe, but that just doesn't seem to be the opinion of several human rights organizations throughout the world. It also doesn't explain why the young American female activist named Rachel Corrie was killed. She was run over by an Israeli bulldozer and killed while protesting the demolition of Palestinian homes. The concept of "equal rights under the law for everyone" doesn't apply to the Palestinian people because they have no rights under the law. Until they have firearms, tanks, US supplied F-16 jets and nuclear weapons, they will never have equal rights and will continue to be oppressed by Israel.

It further exposes the role the American tax payers play in this conflict. Our MSM has been grossly negligent in reporting both sides of the Arab/Israeli conflict.         Concerning the idea of imagined sufferings, there are certainly some who "milk the grudge" and/or carry decades old chips on their shoulders. Those who cry "victim" are often living off the bitterness of someone else's cause which they have claimed for their own. Life isn't fair. People are often heartless for their own personal causes. But we all should learn to use misfortune or nasty circumstances to make us "better" rather than "bitter."

        Why do you insist on minimizing the suffering of those humans who are Jewish? It is uncontested HISTORY that they have frequently been singled out for abuse. Since you can feel sorrow for Rachel Corrie, I know you have the ability to sympathize and empathize. You seem to be concerned about the sufferings of many (hungry, Palestinians...etc). I think you should turn your sympathy to a constructive use and get busy helping those you feel led to help rather than spending hours tearing down another group of people--Jews. That energy of yours could be better used. Write about the sufferings of those you care for and ways that people can help them rather than focusing on those you think are at fault.

        Though it may have never been widespread, the use or intended use of human skin...etc for ANY lampshade or soap is barbaric. Why focus on it? If you don't want to believe it...help a human who has a plight you believe in. Go find Rachel Corrie's relatives and make sure they have what they need...encourage them...

        Hermiker56, however, reacts in a manner that suggests a deeper incongruence of opposing viewpoints. It's almost as though he is experiencing the psycho-spiritual violence of new ideas and paradigms battling against an established, ingrained, authoritarian and dogmatic belief system.

        It seems, to an outside observer, that Herkimer56 has some kind of authoritarian limiter placed upon his frame of reference - perhaps a father figure who was involved in the military - that severely restricts his capacity to entertain concepts that may run counter to his deeply ingrained beliefs of "USA! USA! USA! hoorah!"

        Any new information that challenges his concept of America (that is, Rock&Roll Eagles in military fatigues flying stealth bombers for freedom) is immediately attacked and ridiculed, for to entertain any opposing viewpoint to his fairytale construct of "America" is to shatter his entire world view and cause him to reflect upon his own shortcomings and those of his nation, and thus cannot be tolerated and must be met with violent opposition.
