- onlychildsoul, on 10/11/2008, -0/+7Yaaaay Palin, great job abusing your power, but I know you will change that if you get in the white house...sike!!!!
- EntropyFan, on 10/11/2008, -3/+1Do you want weak, powder-puffs in office? Or do you want people that can play the game, and play it well?
I don't like Palin because she is WAY too right, politically.
That she can play the game hard? Nope. Doesn't bother me at all.- dafragsta, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Now we know you don't like Palin, you LOVE her. There is no justification for this. This is not a gray area. Abuse of power is near treason on worst crimes you can commit in public office.
- EntropyFan, on 10/11/2008, -2/+1Abraham Lincoln pushed the limits of what is acceptable from a President. Actually, he broke several of the limits.
As did Ike, or Regan.
They were leaders.
Treason? Reagan and Clinton came closer to that then Palin. But depending on your prejudice, you will forgive one of them yet condemn the other.
It is called hypocrisy. - hmunkey, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1Guess what? The American people don't want a power abusing leader as their president.
But if you don't believe me, we'll find out come Election Day. - EntropyFan, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1You think Obama, Mr. FISA, Mr. RIAA vice pres isn't?
How ***** deluded are you?
We will see on election day. - dafragsta, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2You're deluded if you think Obama voters aren't pissed at him over that one. They are still choosing between a highly intelligent person with good health and an understanding of what it means to be poor and come from nothing to this level. I personally would have rather Dennis Kucinich or Ron Paul be one of the nominees, but at least that is the kind of grounding that very few politicians will have.
Obama could be a bad president. McCain WILL be a bad president. Sadly, that's what all this bickering over gay marriage, pro-life, and putting the bible in schools and courts has left us. That is all theologically driven *****. Talking points and pandering to special interest groups. That is the most divisive kind of politics that America has endured and it's been for the past 12 years. Look where it's gotten us. Keep your religion at home and at church. Vote for the candidate that's going to get you ahead not the candidate that makes you swagger with a false sense of uncostitutional self righteousness knowing that if enough dumb people vote for this ***** you can impose your beliefs upon them.
- lucid1, on 10/11/2008, -0/+0You Betcha! *Wink*
- EntropyFan, on 10/11/2008, -3/+1Do you want weak, powder-puffs in office? Or do you want people that can play the game, and play it well?
- fauxbro, on 10/11/2008, -0/+7"Hold me accountable" she said. That's what were going to do
- Moodswung, on 10/11/2008, -1/+5BAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA, I TOLD YOU THAT BITCH WAS CRAZY!
Oh and before you any of start spouting the same ole, "liberal bias" crap, take note, the vast majority of the people doing this investigations were Republicans. - doctorf1956, on 10/11/2008, -10/+0Oh this is such nonsense. It a partisan hack job and amounts to nothing. She had the right to fire Monegan for any reason as that nimrod served at her pleasure. Bye, bye Monegan. Bye, bye Bellflower. Obama and his associations with proven criminal organizations such as ACORN should be raising eyebrows not this silly stuff. Is this the best these hacks can do?
- satanatnmtedu, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3*****. Yes, she had the right to fire him. So, she should have just fired him without the games. But, likely she didn't want the firing on her hands because it would look bad. An innocent person cooperates with authorities. A person that has nothing to hide makes sure everyone knows they have nothing to hide. Palin obvious had something to hide; otherwise, she would have dealt with this problem right away.
You clearly do not understand how people behave and think if you don't understand these simple facts. - Cruz1n, on 10/11/2008, -1/+4Partisan attack? Did you know that this is a bi-partisan committee? I challenge you as i have challenged the publisher of this digg to back up your claim or concede. I want real proof from you not a rant about a different subject like ACORN. By the way changing the subject makes you look like you know you're wrong..FYI. ACORN is a valid issue to be discussed in the appropriate places. (fraud was committed from registering Democrats and Republicans)
- Drax0n, on 10/11/2008, -1/+5Partisan!? you do realize the panel had 10 republicans... and 4 democrats and as a group they decided she abused her power.
Also note this investigation started WAY before she was selected as a VP candidate.
- satanatnmtedu, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3*****. Yes, she had the right to fire him. So, she should have just fired him without the games. - TracerMan, on 10/11/2008, -0/+4How's she going to spin this?
- keymanjim3, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1"However, the report concludes that the firing of Monegan was "a proper and lawful exercise" of the governor's authority."
- pharmd2000, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3She was FOR firing the trooper before she was AGAINST it.....! You betcha!
- jack2454, on 10/11/2008, -0/+5palin = Nixon
- dafragsta, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3I can't wait to see the spin on this one. It's going to be amazing. Next week's Daily Shows and Colbert Reports are gonna rock.
- RavagesOfTime, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Vetting process FTL?
- Shokker04, on 10/11/2008, -0/+0Doesn't it suck when the status quo you're trying to maintain comes back and bites you in the rear?
- Cruz1n, on 10/11/2008, -0/+4"This should be interesting, all of those running the investigation are democrats in the tank for Obama."
Absolutely not true. This was a bi-partisan committee of Republicans and Democrats. I challenge you to support your claim or concede.
Sara Palin has proven that Barack Obama's argument that Mccain is like Bush isnt that accurate. Sara Palin is more like George Bush. She hires friends with no qualifications, she abuses her power to resolve family disputes. Sara Palin also has incited racism into the Mccain campaign. Something that i have to say is disappointing coming from Mccain who stood so strong on Immigration reform and said "we are all gods children." They're out of cards, out of ideas and out of time. And would someone tell that women in Minnesota that Arab is a language not a people and Christians speak it as much as Muslims and Jews. - satanatnmtedu, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3I love how the person that submitted this story thinks that it was a partisan hack job. Did he not see the words "bipartisan" and "unanimous"? I hate how some people are so blind to reality. An innocent person deals with the issue right away, testifies, and makes sure everything is on the record. A guilty person stonewalls and avoids the issue. A guilty person blames other people. Palin acted like a guilty person, and it appears that she is guilty.
- Cruz1n, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1http://digg.com/politics/Alaska_panel_Palin_Abused ...
digg the non slanted "true" version of this story and let this fool talk to himself.- hmunkey, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Every major news site has this same version of the story out.
You know, the one about how she broke the law.
- hmunkey, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Every major news site has this same version of the story out.
- DylanLIGHTS, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Well isn't that great, she's so new to politics and is already corrupt, her going to Washington wouldn't bring new change ITS ALREADY CORRUPT! We don't need more abusive power.
VOTE OBAMA - hmunkey, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2And that, "my friends", is the sound of Barack Obama winning the 2008 election.
- Drax0n, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3Republicans are going to cry saying this was a partisan decision.
They are going to hope no one realizes this investigation started MONTHS BEFORE Palin was selected as a vp candidate.
They are going to hope no one is realizes that there were 10 republicans, and 4 democrats on the panel, and as a whole the panel decided she abused her power.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for this to be partisan. - MDimensions, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1Great!!! But McCain could still won the Nov election. Don't we remember the 2000 and 2004 Elections? Honestly, most American are idiots...I am referring to the many people living in those States that have built more Churches than gas stations.
"Obama is terrorist", "Obama is terrorist", "Obama is terrorist", God said "Obama is a terrorist", "Obama is terrorist", ......that is how these people got brainwashed. - BeeArePro, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Say it ain't so Sarah!
- scubaman5000, on 10/11/2008, -1/+2Looks like yet another nail in the coffin for McCain.
- un5table, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1Do you think we will need to update all dictionaries to add a new definition of Maverick?
maverick |ˈmav(ə)rik|
1. Senile old bastard who cares for nothing but power and money.
(note: often seen near mentally challenged women from Alaska.)
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
3. an unorthodox or independent-minded person : a free-thinking maverick. - techmaster, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1I am a republican, always have been. But, McCain's nomination caused me to change my registration, and I am now marked as an independent. I hope others have done the same as well, so that the republican party can see a loss of members over their terrible nominations. I refuse to vote for McCain/Palin, and I'm not voting for Obama either. For me, it's 3rd party this time.
- peaceninja, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1i find this very sad, but im glad the truth is out and i hope its thoroughly scrutinized by the media so that the hicks living in the red states will be convinced that the mccain campaign is made up of corruption and lack of transparency.
- keymanjim3, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1"However, the report concludes that the firing of Monegan was "a proper and lawful exercise" of the governor's authority."
- audioscience, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1Nice work Sarah. You're making the election easier for the rest of us by the minute!
- DesiLou, on 10/11/2008, -0/+0Abuse of power - IMPEACH or CENSURE. H O L D P O L I T I C I A N S A C C O U N T A B L E ! ! !
- guv920, on 10/11/2008, -0/+1I, for one, welcome our new President Barack!
- doctorf1956, on 10/13/2008, -0/+0She did nothing wrong. End of story. Next attack?
