Barack Obama and his Battle Plan Could Win Him the Election
wethepeoplepolitics.com — After looking at some polls, it's going to be interesting to see just how this 50 state battle for votes is going to pan out.

- SoyJames, on 07/02/2008, -2/+3McCain only up by 10 in his home state of Arizona? And Florida swings towards Obama today. McCain and the Republican brand are in for a world of hurt. If they hadn't been such assholes the last 24 years I'd feel sorry for them.
- wjcormier, on 07/02/2008, -2/+1Obama may win, but as a Liberal/Progressive I still remain unsure what that "win" will bring the American people. Yesterday I noted that Obama came out in favor of faith-based initiatives - which I'm against because of my belief in the separation of church and state. Further, he, as have all of our candidates, almost prostrated themselves before AIPAC - an organization that is nothing more than a front for legalized bribery. (Most lobbyists fit into that category - although none seem to wield the power AIPAC does, and it's simply un-American to have a foreign lobby controlling the votes of our Legislature.) There was a court case not too long ago that stated politicians may lie during their campaigns, and there is no redress for the people when they do it. In this case, I'm hoping that Obama is "doing what he has to" to win the nomination and the Presidency - and then will come out with his own agenda, one that is built upon the values of our constitution and the rule of law. There isn't a "prefect" candidate, and McCain is so warped and caught-up in his desire to secure the Presidency that he will say or do anything to get there , and admittedly, I'd take Obama over McCain even if Obama had a stroke and was rendered deaf and dumb - a condition that would be far better for "the people" than a McCain Presidency.
I am still concerned that none of the Presidential nominees have come out in favor of impeachment to stop Bush from Bombing Iran, and at least to settle-down and regulate the oil speculators as Bush and his cronies are attempting to gather the last remnants of wealth still held by the ordinary people of America. We need someone to help awaken the people, not with cute catch-phrases, but with the bitter truth that could help to stop another war. No candidate has done so as of yet, except for Nader, and he's a non-starter just as he was when he stumbled around during the Bush election disaster. Maybe after the election we will meet the "real Obama" and I hope that he measures up to the beliefs of millions that he will return us to our constitutional roots - but remember, without impeachment, Obama would assume the same power that Bush holds right now, and one thing we know for certain is that absolute power corrupts, and Senator Obama is still human,,, - Unitftbll, on 07/03/2008, -0/+0He will win by a landslide!
