Cheney Ignores Intel Report, Cites Zarqawi As Proof of Iraq/Al Qaeda Link
thinkprogress.org — On Friday, the Senate Intelligence Committee released a report that concluded there was no relationship between Iraq and Musab al-Zarqawi. This morning on NBC, Cheney repeatedly cited Zarqawi as the link between Iraq and al-Qaeda. (Video)

Russert missed another one too, Cheney said something along the lines of "homeland security has done a hell of a job, we haven't been attacked again in 5 years'. The only thing that stopped several of our planes from being blown up a few weeks ago was undercover work in the UK, they had an informant from the Muslim community who came forward, and they put an undercover agent in. I wish Russert would have pointed that out, because the propaganda machine has put out lies that our officials claim their wiretapping program helped foil this plot, although of course not a single one of them is on the record anywhere has having said it.

But if we are fighting terrorists over there, then when the terrorist attack americans, it is a terrorist attack on americans.
SO far we have lost about 3000 of our sons and daughters. Sounds like not only have we lost a 9/11 worth of people since 9/11 but we have also moved the targets(americans) closer to the terrorists.. now they dont have to travel as far to kill americans.
Big difference is it is now our poorer americans that join the military vs the richer americans likely to work in the WTC complex.

Only in this case, everyone has found out except for Cheney. Is he truly this ignorant, or is he a liar? When he was a senator, he was the one senator who wanted South Afrika to keep Nelson Mandela in jail for terrorism. That reminds me of another Will Rogers saying: There ought to be one day-- just one-- when there is open season on senators.
