- jackshellac, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1You're welcome to come to Canada. Just remember it's called pop not soda.
- innerpenguin, on 06/05/2008, -1/+3Obama has great sound bites, but there is no way all, or even a majority, of his ideas can be funded. He is not the only one who has thought to double research budgets, improve education budgets, give everyone insurance, yadda, yadda. Saying and doing are two different things.
I am really starting to prefer taking care of myself and letting the government let me keep the money to do that; as opposed to relying on and believing in the Obama government, who wants to take my money now and maybe giving me some support in some sort of social or health program later on in 40 years or so. If I take the money I would pay in taxes for these programs and invest in the private sector instead, I am fairly sure I will be better off. - pintomp3, on 06/05/2008, -1/+6mccain: let's double down on the bush policies.
- chicofaraby, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2FTA: But where is the government getting the money to fund this?"
Well, considering that we waste half a trillion EVERY YEAR on stupid ass military *****, there seems to be plenty of money available. Plus, if Obama would end the illegal occupation of Iraq there is even more wasted money recovered.
The money is available. It's just being funneled into Dick Cheney's pockets.
