- ironeus, on 09/04/2008, -0/+21It's a fine balance since attacking "the media" is not a personal attack on Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, or Bob Schieffer. Ironically of course, it only yields more media.
- lucy22, on 09/04/2008, -0/+19I saw that woman being pulled out by security when Palin was speaking, I wonder what she did?
Freedom of the press should be a guarantee when a country is a democracy.- sullivanst, on 09/04/2008, -0/+8Yeah I remember that too... two huge security guards, looked like she was going peacefully though

- justsayknow, on 09/04/2008, -0/+16Hear that? It's the sound of 100 republican pundits practicing the word "sexism" before saying it on TV for the first time in their lives.
- jodimcmullen, on 09/04/2008, -0/+10I think they are trying to side track the media and keep them from examining Palin's education. They were going to put her bio on the huge screen behind her and scrapped it at the last minute. They are definately doing some kind of diversion.
- funkyloki, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3The reason given for cutting the video was Guiliani went too long in his speech, adding his own rhetoric off the cuff. That's the official line anyways.
- IdigObama, on 09/04/2008, -1/+8Selecting Sarah Palin, who was touted all summer by Rush Limbaugh, is no way to attract most women, including die-hard Clinton supporters. Palin shares nothing but a chromosome with Clinton. Her down-home, divisive and deceptive speech did nothing to cosmeticize a Republican convention that has more than twice as many male delegates as female, a presidential candidate who is owned and operated by the right wing and a platform that opposes pretty much everything Clinton's candidacy stood for -- and that Barack Obama's still does. To vote in protest for McCain/Palin would be like saying, "Somebody stole my shoes, so I'll amputate my legs."

Obama/Biden 08! - sheasie, on 09/05/2008, -2/+2So, you want smaller government? Lower taxes? And fiscal responsibly? Me too!!!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Words are cheap. The record is clear:
*** SMALLER GOVERNMENT: ***
http://perotcharts.com/images/challenges/challenge ...
FACT: Government spending has increased under both Democrats AND Republicans since 1968. Both parties are to blame for the astronomical growth of the Federal Government. So what's the difference?
MCCAIN: Preaches smaller Government, but McCain voted in favor of EVERY spending INCREASE proposed and executed by Bush Administration.
OBAMA: Voted against several spending increases - a more modest approach.
*** LOWER TAXES: ***
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story ...
MCCAIN: Yes, McCain will lower your taxes!! If you earn $66,000 a year or less, McCain will lower your taxes by 0.7% !!! (About $462.00)
OBAMA: Yes, Obama will lower your taxes, too!! If you earn $66,000 a year or less, McCain will lower your taxes by 2.4% !!! (About $1,584.00)
*** FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY ***
http://seekingalpha.com/article/92929-republicans- ...
FACT: The national debt has INCREASED under EVERY Republican administration (without exception!) over the past 25 years.
MCCAIN: Voted in favor of Bush's economic agenda 90% of the time. As a result, America's dollar is weak, and the economy is facing deeply concerning issues due to historic national debt.
OBAMA: Plans to increase taxes ONLY on people earning MORE than $600,000 annually to help insure "fiscal responsibility" !!!
*** CONCLUSION: ***
Words are cheap. We need to "face facts". The record is clear: OBAMA/BIDEN '08

(This is an unusually critical election year. Act responsibly. Please forward.) - Flushnasty, on 09/05/2008, -1/+2You could say he is intelligent, well spoken, connected, educated, has a great world image, a law degree or experience as a community organizer (although apparently that's looked down upon but some dirty ***** out there) definitely shows his dedication to the people of this country in my eyes. Instead you pick
Small government (not an Obama strong point)
Taxes on the general public (I suppose......but not really a big difference)
Return taxes on the wealthy to pre-bush days. (your only valid point!)
With that said..
OBAMA'08 - sidewinderaim9x, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3If McCain wins I am going to bet my life saving that we're going to have a war within 4 years.
