The Problem with Liberals
forthardknox.com — The problem with liberals isn ’t that they’re liberals, it’s that they react on emotion rather than logic. This is the only thing that explains why they blame every ill in the world on our President, and every item they disagree with on conservatives.

If they desensitize society to right and wrong, they can freely practice their prime directive -- if it feels good, do it. But, if there really is a God who will one day judge and punish them, then they are in deep doo doo. Therefore, God must be killed.

- LoneRanger85, on 05/11/2008, -1/+6I know the frustration.
- flip2trip, on 05/11/2008, -2/+2As long as there is breath in the body, there is hope for even the most leftist liberal.
- twinklyJesus, on 05/11/2008, -0/+8The problem with liberals is they believe themselves infallibly correct on every issue, all the time. They believe they have all the answers and know the most obvious truths that, for them are simple to see, but hidden from anyone but one like themselves.
To be sure, it is hubris. How else can you explain the fact that someone is always to blame (other than themselves)? Why else would anyone look a a tsunami in the South Pacific and think we did it, or could control it? Who in their logical rather than emotional mind could think that mere humans who aren't even close to having technology to control the smallest rain cloud, could correct Greenhouse..er..global warm...er..Global climate change?
In my opinion, it must be hubris. Overestimating our roles and control over any and everything. The need to make someone, anyone responsible and to make them PAY. They need to be paid for thinking, breathing, eating, playing and having children. They need to be entitled in order to justify their position in the universe, as they see it.
After all, if you have the power to assign blame, confidently, shouldn't you also be able to do the other things that God is supposed to do, like control nature?- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -0/+5well said!

- infidelisto, on 05/11/2008, -2/+14here's a fantastic explanation of how liberals think..this is a must watch...

- inboxnews, on 05/11/2008, -1/+4Excellent.
- BuddyOne, on 05/12/2008, -0/+5They live in a culture of self-hatred. Voting for more taxes and less freedom and more pervasive government is clearly not in their best interest, but they will argue to the end for just those limitations. They all want to be members of the same ideological "cult." If the ideology includes self-hatred, then they will join, all the while labelling themselves as progressive thinkers...the next evolutionary step compared to us neanderthal originalists.
Hussein Obama is a limited personality, but that is exactly what liberals want-a leader who ignores the obvious effects of overwhelming government intrusion (cannot analyze Canada's health care system because it is non-functional) while assigning failure to the free market.
The answer is a combination of maturity and individualism, not blind cultism. Nevertheless, the past eight years have been very instructive as to the method of destroying the legitimacy of a presidency-those of us who have watched carefully can apply the same techniques with equal success.
