  • rhelwig, on 05/17/2008, -0/+2income taxes and sales taxes are essentially the same - one is a tax on the sale of things while the other is a tax on the sale of labor. Both require the government to get involved in exchanges where they have no business. Both require the basics of a police state to enforce them.
