- LonewackoDotCom, on 07/03/2008, -4/+1The word "Barr" only appears in the title and one sentence in the article.
The article fails to disclose that Barr's position on immigration is more or less the same as McCain and Obama:

If you're looking for the next Ron Paul, you're in the wrong place. - inboxnews, on 07/03/2008, -4/+1And a vote for Bob Barr gives us... Barack Obama. No thanks.
- MrThinks, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4 It looks like Barr has a different position on illegal immigration than McCain and Obama. Bob Barr is not for open borders and amnesty and importing non-stop poverty into this nation. According to Bob Barr's Website (copied exactly from the website, word for word):
The current platform of the Libertarian Party paints a bright and accurate picture regarding the issue of immigration: "Our borders are currently neither open, closed, nor secure. This situation restricts the labor pool, encouraging employers to hire undocumented workers, while leaving those workers neither subject to nor protected by the law. A completely open border allows foreign criminals, carriers of communicable diseases, terrorists and other potential threats to enter the country unchecked. Pandering politicians guarantee access to public services for undocumented aliens, to the detriment of those who would enter to work productively, and increasing the burden on taxpayers."
Resolving this issue will be a challenge for America as it means that we must be aggressive in securing our borders while at the same time, vigilantly fighting the nanny state that seeks to coddle even those capable of providing for their own personal prosperity.
Until all governments are willing to take a unified front to confront this problem, it is the duty of the federal government to secure our borders from criminals, terrorists and those seeking to take advantage of the American taxpayer.- LonewackoDotCom, on 07/04/2008, -1/+1Actually, as I pointed out in the comment above, Barr's position is nearly the same as McCain and Obama.
Let me suggest that Barr's supporters not lie on his behalf, it makes their candidate look even worse.- MrThinks, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1 Barr's website says what it says and he isn't waffling on any of that at all. No matter who he talks to!
On the other hand, everyone in the USA has seen what McCain and Obama have done about illegal immigration and our borders. NOTHING. Or they tried to make it worse!
McCain joined up with Kennedy for a back door deal on Amnesty and he is promising today to resurrect that pathetic law when he speaks to pro-illegal immigration groups behind closed doors. Then when McCain speaks to border control groups he says something completely different. He says he is listening to the People, which is a LIE. Or he is LYING to the pro-illegal immigration groups. Choose one. Read Michelle Malkin's website and see what a waffler and liar John McCain is. Also, see how the open border lobby has been working for McCain's campaign!
Then there is Obama who wants to give illegal immigrants driver's licenses. Does anymore need to be said to prove he has no intention of stopping open borders and illegal immigration?
What more evidence is needed to know McCain and Obama's stance is completely different from Bob Barr. That is no lie, it is the solid truth.
Anyone denying what has happened right in front of our faces over these years with illegal immigration is delusional and is trying to fool everyone else.
Ask the Minutemen. Ask NumbersUSA.. Ask anyone who has been paying attention to what is really going on.

- CruiseCarter, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2The differences between McCain and Obama are minimal, when you consider that both believe big government can save you from yourself, and that we can save other nations from themselves as well. I will not play along with the game of lesser of two evils, as I believe that is part of what has plunged this nation into the mess we find ourselves today.
