BREAKING: Philly Fraud
freerepublic.com — In precincts 7, 19, 51 in Philly, PA, the crowds are going wild. Inside several voting locations, individuals have poured white out onto the polling books and the poll workers are allowing voters to go into the polls and vote without first registering. Several individuals are on hand demanding that voters vote straight Democrat.

- Dragonlord, on 10/12/2007, -97/+34How long do you think it will take for the Dems to blame the GOP for this?
- canti32, on 10/12/2007, -33/+49Not as long as it will take for the republicans to get in there and change those votes.
- masgrada, on 10/12/2007, -47/+9depends on what kind of district it is... Democratic or Republican. I know the GOP has already been playing dirty there so I wouldn't be suprised to say the least.
- JimXugle, on 10/12/2007, -34/+13Dunno.
"Several individuals are on hand demanding that voters vote straight Democrat."
Does this mean that for once it's the Democrats committing voter fraud?
So was I right in saying that BOTH parties are EQUALLY corrupt? (seriously... go back and check my commenting history)
Honestly... this election was too dirty... it should be thrown out. - knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -23/+5how incredibly fortunate!
- XenophobicAlien, on 10/12/2007, -15/+52As an Ex member of Freerepublic, they are as far right as you can go. If the democrats win this year they will be crying and screaming fraud for years to come.
Freerepublic= right wing loony toons
ZOT! - Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -13/+23I dunno, but those saying the GOP will change votesin Phillyare obviously not living in Philly; the GOP has no clout here, which is why, I think, the Dems believe they'll get away with this.
Of course, they'd think it's all in the best interests of the country. Still, any kind of voting fraud is a problem.
Me, I'm from District 2. So my vote for 'No Encumbents' should stand proper. - appetite, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Is this an article or what? I saw this same block of text on another obscure website earlier today. What are we supposed to make of this source?
If there was voter fraud in favor of Dems, I'd agree with an investigation. It'd probably be the only investigation involving Democrats in voter fraud, with the other 999 investigating Republicans. I say investigate them all.
In the meantime, I'll be sleeping soundly tonight knowing that America held the GOP accountable for their horrible, horrible running of the country. - reeder, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4This ***** "article" is prolly designed to stir up enough trouble so the GOP can say that Psycho recently ex-Senator Ricky Satanorum was hoodwinked!
- BulkHedd, on 10/12/2007, -40/+22Wait a minute....I thought only Republicans tried to steal elections.
Things like this will never make it into the mainstream media. - vertinox, on 10/12/2007, -16/+98Again inaccurate.
I just voted in Philly without any hassle. The polls were literally empty.
There were some elderly black ladies asking me to vote democrat outside, but not a single person harassing anyone.
The process took me 5 minutes and I was the only person there besides the pollers. And this was in Center City!. The real problem is that no one is voting...- davenp35, on 10/12/2007, -63/+15It's illegal for people to solicit votes outside of the polling place. I guess your 'harmless' ladies were violating the law for the Dems.
- Dquinz63, on 10/12/2007, -8/+47@davenp35
Those laws vary from state to state, in particular on the distance you need to be from the polling place. Depending on the laws in that state (and possibly even that district) and where exactly they were it may have been perfectly legal. So don't just jump to the conclusion that they were breaking the law for the "Dems". - smoothmedia, on 10/12/2007, -8/+28Im sure the old ladies were in no way affiliated with the democratic party or any campaign.
I can shout "vote for nixon" as I walk out of a polling station if I like, and these ladies have every right to tell others to vote Democrat.
Personally, If I was undecided, someone telling me to vote a certain way would cause me to vote for the opposite party. - nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Did you vote in precincts 7, 19, 51? I'm sure these are isolated incidents but if they're true... that... uuhhh.... would make it a pretty normal election I guess....
- scott1, on 10/12/2007, -16/+8I wouldn't bury it as inaccurate:
Breaking: (Possible) Philly Fraud (Not Confirmed Yet) - katanna, on 10/12/2007, -6/+22Voted as inaccurate. No source, little story... why should we trust a website that posts two paragraphs about something that no one can verify and no one else is talking about?
Matthew - Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9@davenp
It's not illegal in Philly. They must reside at least ten feet from the polling entrance. - phatt-matt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3There is audio on all of the major network sites of a Democrat precinct leader telling the Republican poll watcher and then telling him that everyone coming through the door is going to vote straight Democrat.
- awa1ct, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Northeast Philly, all good here.
- dustedbunny, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@davep35
The malkinites are out in force today! Haha!
Just an FYI...they were asking. Its not like they were pointing a gun at their head and forcing them to vote democratic. Someone's panties are in a twist because the democrats are sweeping out the dirt from the House.
- smoothmedia, on 10/12/2007, -2/+33Santorum is so far behind, he will NEED election fraud to win. A fair election will result in Casey winning the seat.
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22Just an update: Casey won. No surprise, like you said.
- schraged, on 10/12/2007, -19/+7Video of vote suppression in Philly..
http://morningcoffee.wordpress.com/2006/11/07/vote-suppression-in-philly/- zephc, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Get that site better clip art in the header and a style sheet, stat!
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21All that video showed was some guy getting interviewed, but no context given. There was nothing in the video about turning people away at the polls or any shenanigans. Without hearing the question that was posed to him, or the rest of his response, I have no idea what he was talking about.
I'm not saying that it's impossible for the Democrats to pull any shenanigans, but your video doesn't show anything at all.
- numlocked, on 10/12/2007, -26/+11it's good to see some examples of dems behaving badly on digg. both parties do it, but if digg is your primary source of news, you would hardly know it.
- canti32, on 10/12/2007, -7/+37Who's behaving badly? The article says that it is an unconfirmed report. Plus it totally sounds like an unbiased source of information.

- b04155, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8"Several individuals are on hand demanding that voters vote straight Democrat" - isn't that what causes the hacked switch to vote all Rep?
Now that I actually read the article.. the title really is... drum roll please "Breaking: (Possible) Philly Fraud (Not Confirmed Yet)" - KnightMareInc, on 10/12/2007, -10/+14if freerepublic says so, it must be true.
- amoirae, on 10/12/2007, -17/+17As if FreakRepublic is a worthy news source.
(Suck it, you skanky neocons who say the same thing about ThinkProgress).- carapi, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7At least you KNOw that you are full of ***** with your thinkprogroess remark.
Seriously...if you tink the thinkprogress has ANY credibility as an unbiased source, you are so far removed from society mentally that you really need to remove yourself from it physically.
- carapi, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7At least you KNOw that you are full of ***** with your thinkprogroess remark.
- Capta1nA, on 10/12/2007, -7/+32check the source - freerepublic is a loony bin
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -4/+30This was posted earlier, from redstate.com, with no sources cited on the article. This article just goes to FreeRepublic, who cites redstate.com as their source.
Even Free Republic's notoriously right-wing commenters are calling BS on this with comments like
"I love the smell of unsubstantiated hysteria in the morning." and "LINKS?...........ANYTHING?........"
I'm waiting for an actual story that doesn't come from thin air... - passado, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15This looks like a totally bogus story to me. Redstate.com fiction.
- roulette1, on 10/12/2007, -20/+1
- roulette1, on 10/12/2007, -16/+1and another post of mine gets deleted.. WTF??
- Koosebane, on 10/12/2007, -9/+7If this is true about links to factual news being deleted, I'm pretty much done with digg. This means it's no longer about providing the news, it's about letting the mob crush opposing views.
Most of the political front page is grayed out due to inaccurate articles and duplicate stories I've had to bury.
I've literally found the service and site to be totally worthless in finding accurate information the last few days. - ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3You know he's being sarcastic, right?

dailykos links with blatant lies against republicans hitting the front page.
What's going on with Digg??- Koosebane, on 10/12/2007, -15/+7The truth is being buried if it isn't in favor of Democrats.
Are you surprised? - geronimo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+18Just got back from the polls and a democrat blockaded me from the poll. He asked if I was republican, I said yeah, he said, "Sorry, we have to blockade you from entering here." That's about when he tried to eat my baby.
- Koosebane, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6I'm already trying other sites. It's a shame more people don't want balance.
As long as KOS and thinkprogress have access, I think it's only fair that places like freerepublic and michellemalkin have equal time. Being situated in the middle, I think it's important for everyone to have say.
Suppression of opposing views isn't all that progressive, if you ask me. I'm not all that impressed with allowing rabid activists to dictate which agenda gets promoted. - PowerCow, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8@fredfredburger:
must be diggs new algorythm that searches out republican stories and auto buries them/
I really should have lied when digg asked my political affiliation when i signed up... er wait it didnt..
Maybe i should have ignored all those moveon emails telling m to join digg... er wait there were none
HMMM
maybe just maybe it has to do with a president whoes poll numbers hover arround 30...
Now if you can gget that to 60 and still have a problem with digg, i will be right there beside you calling this a liberal haven...
But otherwise you just sound ignorant.
Think not enough conservatives here, go to churches, go to military bases, and tell people about digg.. and if you dont cut and run.. and wait it out, maybe you can bring ballance... I really doubt it though, like i have said your president numbers are arround the same when nixion was impeached.. ok ok a couple points hirer, but the point is those numbers have got to include conservatives that dont like BUSH>
ANd if micheal posted an article about the gop turning away from fiscal conservatism, i would digg it..
If the free republican said that reagan was spinning in his grave about the size of the fed, i would digg it.
You really dont deserve equal time when 2/3 of the public think you are doing a crappy job.
- Koosebane, on 10/12/2007, -15/+7The truth is being buried if it isn't in favor of Democrats.
- jackminardi, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2BOTH SIDES ***** PLAY DIRTY!

GET OVER IT
Sorry, I had to yell to get past most of your thick, self-righteous skulls. - consonance, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4So...says who?
- endgame, on 10/12/2007, -10/+4WOW, those Dems scare the HELL out of me!
- bushy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+10"BOTH SIDES ***** PLAY DIRTY!"
Please, please, please shoot yourself with your right to bear arms. Unless you are a talking head or a Republican its obvious that there is no equivalency between Republican dirty tricks and the Democrats old black women supporters.- jackminardi, on 10/12/2007, -9/+5I am not a republican and there is no difference between the dirty tricks of both sides. Now please remove your ***** ignorant blinders and stop making such obnoxiously biased statements
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Fair and balanced: you can only mention as much Republican corruption as Democrat corruption. If Republican corruption far outweighs Democrat corruption, repeat the same act of Democrat corruption for the next 20 years until they balance out. Otherwise, you're simply being biased and unfair.
At about the point this random statement of Democrat voter obstruction got eyerolls from the far right wingnuts, I decided there was nothing to see here.
- inchrnt, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Breaking: (Possible) Philly Fraud (Not Confirmed Yet)

Suck it, Freepers. - PhillyMJS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I call *****. Been checking philly.com and watching the news here in Philly all night, haven't heard a peep about any local polling place shenanigans like they're claiming.
Buried as inaccurate.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to flip back over to Fox News. They are visibly bitter when reporting Democratic victories, it is sweet.
~Philly- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Awesome. Listening to them early on declare that the polls are all nonsense anyway was amusing for about ten minutes.
I love how Fox News acts like the republican losses predicted a month or so ago are supposedly "unexpected."
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Awesome. Listening to them early on declare that the polls are all nonsense anyway was amusing for about ten minutes.

- CrimsonBlur, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Considering this hasn't been confirmed by ANY sources, and if this were true it would be all over every live news outlet in the country by now, I think we can safely mark this as Inaccurate or Lame and move on. Why is this even being dugg?
- JonnyTrombone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6FreeRepublic is not a news source. Thank you, goodnight.
- SCMacUser, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I really don't trust DIGG to be my source of info about voter fraud in specific districts..........Diebold voting machines being the exception...
- JonnyTrombone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10For the record: look at the other stuff Flag564 has submitted. Most of it is from FreeRepublic, and some of it is downright hateful.
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I've had Flag564 blocked for ages - I'm suprised he hasn't had enough blocks to get bumped off Digg yet.
- PowerCow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4i cant help it but when i picture flag564 i think of that idiot cia guy on mash...
you know the guy that ran himself over with a jeep so he could stay in the hospital
- ctour95, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7FreeRepublic doesn't have any journalistic credibility, this story is both lame and inaccurate.
- Koosebane, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2And Kos 'OUR ARMY IS STAGING A COUP' submissions DO?
There was fifteen hundred diggs on that blatant lie. People around here aren't interested in journalistic integrity, they're interested in promoting their own agenda and blatantly suppressing others at all costs.
The utter horse manure that hits the front page is an embarrassment to mankind. - HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Koosbane:
Yeah, that article was stupid. Kos gets a little excited, doesn't he?
However, why not look at the factual content in that article and this one.
That one: reported that there were editorials in military-associated newspapers calling for Rumsfeld's resignation. That was true.
This one: claims massive voter fraud and whiteout poured over the rolls (which would take a fair bit of time given that you'd have to open the book to several places to do it) and that people are streaming in and voting without checking. That is true? untrue?
- Koosebane, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2And Kos 'OUR ARMY IS STAGING A COUP' submissions DO?
- Derfus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2that douche bag santorum didnt have a chance anyway
- linuxrebel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Has anyone else noted that none of the news or pseudo news outlets (like FOX) have picked up on this story? This is very doubtful, very. IF there was any truth here it should have been blasted all over the news. Tell me, is this another Rovian creation?
