I am soooo glad this did not occur in the USA while my boys were in school. I would have taught them to say the Lord's prayer really loud over and over if they were forced to do this. And if that didn't work there would be a discussion. I cannot understand the bow your head and walk into the gas chamber attitude that so many countries are taking regarding the invasion of islamics. WHY? Whose country is it? Why are they allowing the takeover of their countries by these islamic invaders? What has happened in the past 35 years that makes people afraid to stand up and tell them: you have one week to get out of this country. PERIOD. It's THEIR country - just as the USA is OUR country. Can't abide by the way we live, then we'll escort you to the docks... whether you want to go or not. Amiserable situation - a sad situation when the liberals worldwise have so destroyed the backbones of their countrymen INCLUDING our country.

      On the one hand, you are correctly identifying the problem of individuals and cultures that use force to make people do things against their will. However...

      If this is a free country, there should be no reason for people to leave the country just because they hold different values, provided they are not engaging in acts of force. Even then, there should be a means to deal with violations of liberty without resorting to extreme measures. You don't OWN the country any more than I do. You do, however, have absolute authority over your own person and property.. at least you should.

      Fighting to rule others through government is a problem: "It's not fascism when we do it."

        People are not the deeds of their ancestors. You might be proud of what they did, but that doesn't on its own establish a claim for you. I think you would agree with me that individuals must prove their honor/credibility by their own choices.

        I am not a slave without will to the actions of others, and certainly not bound to the actions of my forefathers.

        In regards to the war, for what it's worth, Lincoln was the aggressor. In perspective, I side with Lysander Spooner on the matter of violating the natural rights of men.

        I would be careful not to set a bad precedent by claiming that a fight for something is therefore an entitlement to something, such as an abstract claim to possession of a country. That's nationalism, and it lays the groundwork for cognitive dissonance, refusing to consider the complex motivations of all the individuals who claim this to be their country, or to act in its name.

        It's peculiar that you emphasize country, but not once do you mention liberty. Are you sure this is your country? Are you defending what the country was founded upon, or are you fighting for other interests?

        I wonder how the native indians who survived the oft violent expansion of european immigrants feel about that. And if you retort that indians were violent too, then congratulations, you're one step closer to considering issues in CONTEXT.

        Some of the first people who came to the US, the pilgrims, almost killed themselves by following a failed policy of centralized wealth redistribution. And today the same trend of theft has reared its ugly head. What have you been fighting for these last 17 years when the powers that be have openly flaunted an agenda of international police action. It's not exclusive to the democrats or republicans either.

        Though it may be a minor point, I would rather critique liberal or conservative ideology itself than generalize about its advocates. Statist wealth redistribution is just as abhorrent as legislating morality, and regulating freedom of choice in the marketplace.

        We might have more to agree upon if you recognized the real problems undermining the situation without resorting to bigoted ranting like so...

        Not sure if you follow current news, but we are not free. The government won't let people leave the country and renounce citizenship without extorting money from them. Just another brick in the wall.

        I'd be more angry about what people have done to destroy the constitution (property rights, gun rights, freedom of speech, security from unwarranted invasions of privacy by government, etc) than how other people are choosing to live their lives.

        Moderation of liberty inevitably leads to socialism, and despotism. Liberty is the one thing you cannot have if you do not grant it to others. I have my priorities in order. Do you?

        And one last thing...

        There is greater patriotism in dissent than conformity. Please try to recognize what the founders of this country fought for.

        When you fight for a country as a member of its military, you may still have your will and sense of duty, which goes beyond merely following orders, but you do not set the contractual terms under which you serve. To claim an entitlement after the fact, as if something further is owed to you by abstractions such as country, or government, is unreliable because it depends on the actions of countless others. Many people will shake a soldier's hand when they see them in public, however.

        It is a violation of principle to give of yourself, or your time, or wealth without having strings attached, which identifies why Chaplin Doug feels entitled. He will not say that the government cheated him, and in the context of his contractual agreement it has not, but he does attack other people for not supporting his service, particularly by projecting his hatred of foreigners who for practical intents and purposes could little know of his actions, and may not share his cultural beliefs. Nor does he well discriminate in his hatred amongst other citizens who do not share his beliefs, whatever those other beliefs may be. Here he describes groups of people, such as liberals, or muslims as a convenience for his disgust.

        That's the essence of the problem. Not that people merely believe a thing, but they believe it to the extent that they feel it must be imposed upon other people. These justifications come in many forms, just as 'the greater good', or even 'patriotism'. It makes it easier for us to see the common folly in acting not in principle, but in good intentions. In a related note, Chaplin Doug made a thorough claim of lineage and what he considers patriotic, but uttered little to show he actually supports freedom.

        You may bury my comments but you cannot deny the rationale without asserting to have chosen ignorance over consideration if you give no address to the arguments. These are meant to be challenging statements. People are fond of claiming a possession of the truth: I can only claim to be the authority of my own opinions and look to debating and discussion to discover what the truth appears to be.

        To make the point again, I find it interesting that people attack others for their beliefs, but tend to ignore two things...
        1. The danger of beliefs as imposed imposed through force.

If it wasn't for his leadership America would not have survived past the early 19th century. Abraham Lincoln was also a trial lawyer and he saved our country from self-destruction. The presumptions were that the indoctrination into religion was the pervue of the parents, not the school. How or why any person prays is neither important nor the business of anyone other than the person so praying. Why the indoctrination into Muslim prayer? Duh, NO - BIG BIG DUH. To insinuate that it is a religion that should be studied and perhaps become involved in. There is no other reason to do this. Why is it being allowed?!!! Because most public servants only serve mamon (money) and do not want to rock theboat. If you stand up and complain about this, you are branded a bigot/racist/islamophobe and worse. In my opinion, the religion is a gutter religion and when women join up and loose the freedoms they otherwise would normally enjoy, it will be too late for them!!! Many people in England are rather nominal Christians; however, if you ask them what their religious persuasion is, many have been baptized in the Church of England and will tell you "Christian," or "Anglican." Therefore, to demand that someone participate in a religious practice of another faith (whose god is NOT the same) is blasphemous, arrogant and worthy of severe administrative punishment. By the same token, for a superior to condone or cover up such an action is likewise worthy of punishment. I also think that teachers should discuss ideas with parents before a program is initiated in the class room.     Christians, of all faiths, have the least reason to fear death, if they are genuinely saved. This isn't to suggest they ought to have a "martyr-complex" by any means, though, it just means that believers ought to have no reason to fear fire, peril, or sword, because they are not staking their future on what is here and now but what was promised them then and there.

    There is a "THERE" there, because God is not a man, that He should lie, nor the son of man that he should repent.

    Billions of people believe in Islam but how many among them have ever done serious study comparing their faith's essential doctrines, and the philosophical and rational underpinnings, as well as the evidence of their faith?

    I well imagine that students of the Quran may have had cursory introduction with studying the tenants of other faiths but I would imagine relatively few among them ever gain the opportunity to examine other faiths in an atmosphere completely free of the threat of violence coming upon them if they were so engaged.

    Interestingly enough, the Jewish faith claims Yahveh (Elohim, Adonai) as their God; and Jesus, the God of Christianity, claimed a special relationship with the Jewish Yahveh, that He was, in fact, the special Son of Yahveh.

    Thus does Christianities' very founder make over and over and over again the specific claim to being the "Messiah" of the Old Testament Jewish promise and prophecy.

    But the orthodox Jews of today and of time past who refused to receive Him continued to invent figments concerning their Messiah, making Him out to be only a political and military ruler who would hoist the Jewish nation on His shoulders and give them rulership over the world.

    They had almost no concept of Isaiah 53 being equally a description of the Messiah they were promised to receive.

    A suffering Messiah seems weak and beggerly. Not the kind of Savior we'd naturally think could deliver us from our own weak and beggerly selves.

    But if He rose again three days later, now THAT is a feat none of the Jewish prophets accomplished and the fact that Mohammad is said to have "ascended" without resurrection renders their story highly dubious on its face, as it merely appears to borrow from the Christian Gospel (as the Quran also borrows from the Old Testament) in order to "sex up" their prophet's lifetime achievements.

    I imagine that the apparent sheep-like pacifist quality of the Judeo-Christian cutlure is in part what keepts the lefty media continuously pummeling the Christian faith and making back-door jokes about Judaism as well. Islam is feared because some of its elements are militant and it therefore gets tickets to the ball and the best press money can buy.

    After all, most of the press has only this world to look forward to any way. They believe neither in Heaven nor Hell, in Angels or Demons, in God or in a Savior, in Paradise or 72 virgins...they believe in their profit margin, in their possessions and in their personal fame here and now. They basically worship no god but themselves and their possessions.

    Atheistic journalism has more fear of physical death being inflicted upon them from radical Islamic fundamentalists than fear of eternal judgment for unbelief coming from the suffering, pacifist Christian God who died on a cross.

It is unfortunate, disgusting and outrageous that when this topic is brought to light that people have been so damn brainwashed they yell "racist", "Nazi", "KKK", Neo-Nazi", "Hitler" etc.. ad nausea!!!!!!     Since the 1965 Immigration Act went into effect, more than 30 million immigrants, most from non-European, Third World countries have poured into the United States. Today, most of the U.S. population growth is due to these immigrants, and their offspring. These results contradict promises made to American citizens by the Act's Congressional Sponsors.

    Every one of these assurances has proved false. Immigration levels did surge upward—they are now running at a million a year. Immigrants do come predominantly from one sort of area—85 per cent of the 11.8 million legal immigrants arriving in the U.S. between 1971 and 1990 were from the Third World, 44 per cent from Latin America and the Caribbean, 36 per cent from Asia—and from one country: 20 per cent from Mexico. And about 33,000 Africans arrived in 1990, which looks small only by comparison.

    Above all, the American ethnic mix has been upset. In 1960, the U.S. population was 88.6 per cent white; in 1990, it was only 75.6 per cent white—a drop of 13 percentage points in thirty years. (Indeed, the proportion of "European-Americans" is probably a couple of percentage points lower than that, because the Census Bureau counts all Middle Easterners as "white.") The demographer Leon Bouvier has projected that by 2020—that is, easily within the lifetimes of many NATIONAL REVIEW readers—the proportion of whites could fall as low as 61 per cent. Among children under 15, minorities could be approaching the point of becoming the majority.

    The Ionic part is that Anglo Americans no it is a matter of time before our culture gets wiped out by deliberate social engineering of the evil vile animals like Ted Kennedy and we are smeared as racists. This is genocide on Americans, period and Anglos are the racists. GET REAL!

    Since 1965, moreover, U.S. public policy has in effect actively discriminated against Europeans. This is because, in another reversal, the 1965 Act placed a higher priority on "family reunification" than on admitting immigrants with skills. And "reunification" meant relatives no matter how remote. So the new immigrants arriving from countries that had not been traditional sources were able to sponsor so many additional immigrants that they crowded out European applicants with skills but no family connections from the "overall quota"—-before spilling over into the special category of admissions outside the "overall quota," which turned out to be vastly larger than predicted.

    As a result, the post-1965 immigration is not only much bigger than expected: it is also less skilled.

    You import the third world you in turn will live in the third world! It is that simple and no there is nothing wrong with wanting to preserve, protect and nurture the country's culture, which is of European decent!     "religion", by definition of origin, (Greek)- equates with bondage, (very accurate descripton)

    "Christianity", by definition, is freedom from bondage-

    If SOLGAARD has to defend myself, he will try- to NOT kill his attacker, (but that doesn't mean it won't happen - 17% chance of death by ACCIDENT in any life-threatenting physical altercation).

    The FINAL COMMAND on the SABBATH, is to "do well"- (so if someone needs me to help them on the Sabbath, as long as it might be deemed "well" then that pretty-much frees me-up for alot).
