- Jeff82, on 11/14/2008, -2/+39Where do I get those stickers? I'll put 'em on and join the lawsuit! Plenty of military bases around me...
- ZepHed69, on 11/14/2008, -2/+21I agree with Jeff. We should support the right to free speech, ESPECIALLY for those who have a long record of military service and a son who DIED by the grubby hands of the ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.
Let me say this very clearly: ***** YOU, ISLAMIC TERRORISTS!
Are they going to make me remove this from the site because its not politically correct even though we are AT WAR with ISLAMIC TERRORISTS? No, because, like all Americans, I am granted the right of free speech by the first amendment.- Harvester1, on 11/14/2008, -2/+17Dugg up for the sentiment, not the language!
- BettyLou2, on 11/14/2008, -0/+13Same here!
- ROaks, on 11/15/2008, -0/+6Ditto
- KJeffV, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1Me thritto.
- dshPls, on 11/15/2008, -5/+2The only problem here is that the sticker makes no mention of Islamic Extremists alone, it has the symbol of Islam. Now I know you all realize this too and are content with just hating people because of the religion anyways(Muslims,) it's offensive and wrong to most.
- Aarch6, on 11/15/2008, -1/+6You make a good point but the shouts of "Allah Akhbar!" and the choice to kill, divide and destroy in the name of "Allah" are not good methods to separate a person from a particular religion or religious symbol.
If he had chosen to display a portrait of Osama bin Laden with a red circle and line through his face, would that then be acceptable to you or any less in violation of the specific, biased rules of a certain U.S. Marine base? That would be a specific protest against the founder of the particular organization that funded and planned the attack that killed this man's son.
Oh wait, that's already been defined as an act of hate and an attack on all Muslims.
Oh well, I suppose we can just all "convert or die." Can you tell me where to buy a prayer rug and a long white shirt? - ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -1/+5dshPls,
Oh, how you stray from the point. The point of this whole thread is the AMERICAN right to FREE SPEECH. What you are saying is the type of ambiguous support for our enemy, ISLAMIC TERRORISM and all who support ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.
Let me ask you this: Could you muster up all of your anti-American smugness and actually tell a person in the military that is currently fighting for OUR FREEDOM to have this dicussion that you REFUSE to clearly define who the enemy really is?
You're such a coward. - dshPls, on 11/15/2008, -1/+2Ugh... You're projecting that I'm somehow anti-American and I don't have friends in the Military, both of which are totally wrong. Being a Muslim doesn't make you a terrorist, so hating muslims for terrorism is dangerously stupid. Our freedom isn't threatened by Muslims any more than it's threatened by the domestic policies of the last 8 years, congrats, you're terrorized and the terrorists have won.
@ aarch
Yeah the "terrorist hunting license," or this sticker with OBL in the middle would be totally acceptable, ***** I'd even get behind the idea, even if it is rather red-neckish. Who defined that as an attack against all Muslims? No one questions that there are Islamic extremists out there trying their best to kill us, but I, like many, question how we've responded.
- Aarch6, on 11/15/2008, -1/+6You make a good point but the shouts of "Allah Akhbar!" and the choice to kill, divide and destroy in the name of "Allah" are not good methods to separate a person from a particular religion or religious symbol.
- pebbles70, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1The reason why liberals have so much power is that the conservatives allow them to have it.
Politicians allow or deny what gives them votes, lawyers, for the most part, are after money and have no scruples on how they get it. It is all about power and money.
As long as the true Americans remain passive while this country is being destroyed by our professors, the media, Hollywood, corrupted politicians and lawyers, the problem will get bigger and bigger. If the conservatives started to get out of their comfortable chairs and protest, we could change the course of this situation because the politicians want votes, the media and the lawyers will support whatever is necessary to get money, and the professors will have to stop changing history and facts because no longer will be receiving large sums of money for their lies.- AThoughtOrTwo, on 11/16/2008, -1/+1Politicians have no say in this issue. It is a military base, with a military commander and base magistrate .
What IS going on here is that ONE person (in all likelihood, no more than a couple) have made a complaint. (Perhaps also threatened a lawsuit prompting the commander to place the ban?) The threat was probably specific: "hate crime." This would strike fear in a base magistrate. IF it comes to trial, then the BASE would also be responsible. And CAIR would love to see it go to trial as a "hate crime."
So, the base commander and base magistrate cooked up this highly unConstitutional ban against this father knowing full well the total effects it would have on him. The knew about his job, his son and all the rest. They just figured he would "roll over" and "take it."
But he isn't. He knows he is in the Right. As in Right of Free Speech. Those who don't like it, don't have to look - isn't that what they tell others whose views they condemn?

- BSdetective, on 11/14/2008, -2/+39Is there any compelling reason to continue feeding these brain-dead, certifiably insane government servants of the people? Why would any individual even consider serving in the military when it's leaders are too meek to even identify the enemies that have declared their intentions of destroying the population of this nation?
Liberals have infested every corner of government to the point where the whole government has become as dysfunctional as they are.- DrReaper, on 11/14/2008, -2/+26Yeah we are being taken for a ride to hell by our supposed servents. I think we should fire them all and start over.
- aaarghonaut, on 11/14/2008, -2/+21Hear-hear.
- THEROD54, on 11/14/2008, -2/+20when and where?
- DesertDad, on 11/14/2008, -0/+19Yeah, these are like the 'leaders' which have taught Border Patrol agents to quit patrolling the border.
Now they're teaching Marines to quite being Marines. I imagine for the next step they'll strike 'Tripoli' from the Marine Corps Hymn... .
What a disgraceful act by Col. Flatau.
- Steyr95, on 11/14/2008, -5/+30Wait until that damned Obama gets in. I think we have seen nothing yet.
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -3/+16You got that right.
BTW- Has anyone got a check for their tank of gas and mortgage yet?
I haven't. Anyone?
Hmmm. I suspect the average Obama slave is gonna be very disappointed with their new plantation master.
I did have a chuckle at the post office yesterday when I looked up and saw the plaque they are selling for Malcolm X.- tradcath4ever, on 11/14/2008, -1/+12You won't get any checks until the twit is sworn in. - tradcath4ever, on 11/14/2008, -0/+11Excellent post kuffar! I love it! It is sooo sad, but you are closer to the truth and that is really scary.
- dshPls, on 11/15/2008, -1/+1The basis of your entire ramble is incorrect, did you really expect anyone to continue reading?
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -1/+2Once again dshPls, you show your inability to recognize the enemy of this country. How ignorant has this public schooling system made you?
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -1/+2Oh, by the way, you should keep posting. You are giving away all of your anti-American views, and the people need to hear it. We will use it as motivation to rise up against FOOLS like you. However, you are allowed to be a fool in this country. Isn't it beautiful?
- dshPls, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2Dude learn to use the easiest commenting system ever.
The lie that Obama is a muslim is what I referring to. Is it anti-American or a by-product of public schooling to know this? Now it's amazing you've managed to call me a fool when you can't even prove that Obama is a Muslim, but you want me to continue to asking this stupid easy questions and make you look like an idiot?
- gunjam, on 11/14/2008, -4/+35As a former member of the military, here is what I say to Col Flatau, Dhimmi Marine base commander: Resign,Traitor!
P.S. This story proves -- as few other accounts can -- that we are fighting a losing battle against....OURSELVES!- cashman57, on 11/14/2008, -1/+16If there were justice the magistratre would have been fired and stripped of all benefits for violating the first amendment rights of this Marine.
My answer to his unlawful order to remove the stickers would have been tro make it conditional that the magistrate kiss my ass on the courthouse steps first.
It appears this magistrate never heard of the first amendment. They call burning a flag freedom of expression and call this Marine's stickers a violation? Banning this man or his vehicle for expressing himself is wrong.
You may disagree with his sentiment, but you cannot deny his right.- farmerjohn48pan, on 11/14/2008, -1/+11A common side effect of serving your country is the appalling loss of rights and freedoms that most civilians take for granted.
- ROaks, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5We are going to do the Viet Nam retreat all over again. I am a Marine (65-69) and now a retired Army Staff Sergeant (71-87) and feel as if my time as well as all those who have given all and those that are wounded, it was for nothing. The Founding Fathers and their followers, up to and including today's warriors. What will it have all been about? We are about to throw it all away. Fredrick Engels, Karl Marx, Adolph Hitler, Mussolini, they all won. Let's don't let that happen. When this Agent Orange poison finally takes it toll on me I hope and pray we are still the "HOME OF THE BRAVE AND THE LAND OF THE FREE for the children and their children, for your children, grandchildren. I just have a hard time imagining living other than free.
- cashman57, on 11/14/2008, -1/+16If there were justice the magistratre would have been fired and stripped of all benefits for violating the first amendment rights of this Marine.
- IkeWarrior, on 11/14/2008, -5/+33
(a) I want some of those stickers.
(b) Who would ever have thought we'd see the day when any portion of the USMC (except for the occasional aberration like moth head murtha) would roll over and play dead for terrorists ‽ ‽ ‽- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+4I also want some of those stickers. I would put them on my car.
- ROaks, on 11/15/2008, -0/+6Maybe Murtha should have been seen as a warning.
- captainquint, on 11/14/2008, -2/+25yeah, I want one of those stickers as well. I also want one that has a govt official being pissed on by Calvin.
Can anyone still say "Semper Fi"? or is that offensive as well.- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -2/+16I'm wondering if I even want to anymore.
Semper Fidelis to what? That crap? I don't think so.- farmerjohn48pan, on 11/14/2008, -0/+7Steady on the tiller there shipmate!
- ccso8462, on 11/14/2008, -0/+6No, not to that crap. You can still be proudly faithful to the Corp and your brothers and sisters there. And to the Constitution. Of course that might require you to tie this idiot judge to Mohammed Murtha and 500 lbs of cement and send them on a long walk off a short pier. You'll probably have a long line of patriots waiting to help.
- igoupwithHIM, on 11/15/2008, -0/+6Yes sir, ccso8462, add me to that list too. God Save the United States of America!!!
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+4Add me to the list as well. I am broke and would not be able to drive to the coast to do it, but I would walk there to help, ccso8462
- ROaks, on 11/15/2008, -0/+6from one Marine to another MarineVeteran1, I sort of feel the same way, but the Corps I know (65-69) would not have put up with this judge, come to think of it, I don't think there would have been a judge that radical in the Corps back then. My how times have changed.
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -2/+16I'm wondering if I even want to anymore.
- fredoesfly, on 11/14/2008, -3/+19
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -6/+1Dude,
Save the sermon for church. If you keep going around preaching that Jesus is coming in political debates, no one will ever take you seriously. (The boy cries wolf fable) Yes, you have a right to say what you want, where you want, when you want, no one is saying you don't- least of all, me. But you must know, any Christian knows about the rapture. So I have to ask, don't you think it's a bit redundant? This kind of stuff reminds me of the freaks in San Francisco during 'Nam standing around the street corners screaming the end is near. It was ...umm, silly?
I do wish you and folks like you had more to say that is of this world, than always wishing for the second coming. Think about it- if you have your heads in such heavenly clouds all the time, you're of no earthly use to anyone. Least of all, you. Besides, I have a preacher, and that's his job.- BettyLou2, on 11/14/2008, -1/+7MV, your sentiments are understandable, but you should consider that Free Speech is the cornerstone of our freedoms. At a time when religious freedom is being attacked from every angle, your comment is undignified and surely does not represent what freedom is about.
(most) People on this site are fighting a daily battle to counter the Speech Police and Political Correctness. Please reconsider your remarks. - ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1Although I do not agree with your opinion of Christians, I turn the other cheek. How about this: you can continue doubting, and I will continue to have faith. We'll see who walks through that gate.

HAHAHAHA
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -6/+1Dude,
- GlobalRoamer, on 11/14/2008, -2/+25This is the way terrorism works. It starts with a bang and it continues to seep out into all areas of your culture.
I support the military in their right to do what they think is right. BUT, I denounce what happened to put them in that place.
I don't drive on a military base. I want a bumper sticker too. - aaarghonaut, on 11/14/2008, -5/+19Don't 'offend' FUNZO.
HEY FARAH!! WE'LL BUY THESE STICKERS!!!!!- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -3/+8Dat's some funny sh*t.
- Theory1, on 11/14/2008, -3/+25Aren't we fighting not only for our security but our freedom? Freedom of expression anyone?
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -2/+24Well now! If y'all think that's something, you ought to see the B.S. over in the sand box.
This crap is directed by the state department, and every stupid Senator that has ever slithered around a Marine base.
Back in the 70's, under the directions of none other Jimmy Carter and crew, you should have seen what those peckerwood Congressmen did to my boot camp(s) simply because of some 'less the desirable' recruits were shoved down our throats. It took years to correct it!!
I do however, recognize the pattern of zealots to following orders, and unfortunately boys and girls, this is it. This kind of crap doesn't go on any other place except on this base. The C.O. of this sh*thole needs to be relieved of command, he's simply insane if he thinks this is offensive to anyone except terrorists...
I wonder if this C.O. considers the propaganda posters made by the U.S. government to be offensive to anyone but our enemies? After all, words and crude images like 'Hun, Jap, etc. were used on these posters and they all would threaten your sense of security in order to maintain a sense of fear, thus make you throw more cash toward war bonds...
Idiots!!!!
I'm shaking my head on this one...- goldenrule4, on 11/14/2008, -2/+15right you are, this cancer started at the State Dept. and flourished under the approving eye of our beloved presidente bush. wait until the great savor takes over.
- victorypup, on 11/14/2008, -2/+10This is indeed an extension of Judas George, he worships "the same god" (so he says) represented by that crested moon. It is he that is offended, and the 4 or 5 who agree with him.
- goldenrule4, on 11/14/2008, -2/+15right you are, this cancer started at the State Dept. and flourished under the approving eye of our beloved presidente bush. wait until the great savor takes over.
- goldenrule4, on 11/14/2008, -2/+23if watching our military roll over and play dead to the enemy does not make you sick, you are one of the brain dead morons that voted for the savior.
- thistlebar, on 11/14/2008, -3/+24As a proud former Marine veteran, I am embarrassed by the actions of the base commander at Camp Lejeune. Something like this could never have happened in the "old Corps", but back then we wouldn't have elected a socialist as president either. Looks like some rough and sad times ahead for our nation.
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -0/+9Roger that. Jimmy Carter II
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+3First of all, goldenrule, I want to personally thank you for my freedom and your service to this wonderful country. However, I would like to say that America is blessed by God and we will rise above this IF people like you an me continue to voice our opinion in formats like this. That is how "Savior" Obama usurped our throne of freedom, and that is how WE ARE GOING TO RALLY AND TAKE IT BACK!
- ROaks, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2You may not wear the uniform any longer, thistiebar, but you are still a Marine. Remember, "Once a Marine, Always a Marine". I will be honest with you, while living it I did not like that saying, however, I wasn't in the Army six months and I realized how true that saying is. I am proud of my whole career in the military, but that four years as a Marine, well, only another Marine knows how I feel.
- THEROD54, on 11/14/2008, -3/+21I read this last night but was to tired to post, SO HERE GOES.

Father , needs to go to a REEDUCATION CAMP TO LEARN THAT MONKLEMS IS A RELIGION OF PEACE . OINK OINK.
Please don't let the satire over whelm you.- aaarghonaut, on 11/14/2008, -3/+9Could'a fired-up my chain-saw to cut the satire.

- Savage24, on 11/14/2008, -2/+17I wouldn't put to much faith in the Commander in Chief . Did he not say " if you are not with us you are a terrorist ". And I mean every damned one!
- victorypup, on 11/14/2008, -2/+11No, I wouldn't count on this Commander in chief. This commander in chief is the kind that would LEAVE YOU BEHIND, if it was politically expedient.
He seems to have every intention of leaving behind, Ramos, and Campeon. but then they interupted a drug shipment to friends of George.
I wouldn't trust Judas George any farther than I could spit. - gunjam, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5I doubt Obama will be any better.....
- victorypup, on 11/14/2008, -2/+11No, I wouldn't count on this Commander in chief. This commander in chief is the kind that would LEAVE YOU BEHIND, if it was politically expedient.
- DrBWoody, on 11/14/2008, -3/+16Instead of wasting time complaining on this forum (although it is some great reading) I recommend you ALL drop an email, fax or phone call to each of your representatives in Congress and tell them your thoughts on this issue. We AMERICANS have let Congress get away with far too much for far too long and all we do is complain amongst ourselves. Meanwhile over the past 20 years, the minority PC pundits and losers of our country have been vocal. The time is now to stand up and fight with words against what is the rapid beginning of our pending downfall as a free nation.
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+3This is exactly what I am talking about. Apathy is the path to COMMUNISM. With the lowest Republican turnout since 1980, it is obvious that we are becoming complacent with these "Liberal" fools on the left. I agree with you DrB, we must contact our political representatives and MAKE THEM REPRESENT US!!! Michael Steele for RNC!!!!!!!!!!!!
- AThoughtOrTwo, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2And bring back the Republican Party! As Republicans, not some dyed, tinted and 'made over' pigs of the; liberal suasion.'

- victorypup, on 11/14/2008, -2/+20Maybe there are some billboards close to the entrance of this base that somebody could erect a larger than life version of this sticker. Tweak the pin heads psyche a little. I put the Ten Commandments up on a billboard once. You can't believe what some of the "so called Christians" had to say about it.
Probably would cost a few hundred dollars for a two or three month showing.- igoupwithHIM, on 11/15/2008, -0/+7I' game, where do I sign on?
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+4I'll send money if you can get a coalition together. This is the kinf of thinking that will get something done.

- jer72, on 11/14/2008, -3/+19As a former Corpsman stationed in Lejeune, I am saddened that Commanding General can't even see he is killing our Bill of Rights! Does it surprise me that the liberals have started to take over the last best hope for American Freedom? Nope. I hope this lawsuit will help start to change the tide back to what this country was founded on and for.
- jm7strick, on 11/14/2008, -2/+12These military police live in another world where they feel they have complete authority to DO and SAY anything want. For the most part they do. Once inside that gate your rights are checked and you will be punished for stepping out of bounds. My experience with MPs were on a working relationship with them but I knew what they got up to behind the scenes and were not to be trusted. I'm not taring all of the military police with same brush; but the power of the position turned some of them into monsters who couldn't handle the responsibility of the position.
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -0/+9You are exactly correct on that bubba. If it weren't for NIS keeping tabs on those little thugs, they would have had all of us in jail or at an Article 15 hearing for something, real or imagined.
- ccso8462, on 11/14/2008, -0/+7Unfortunately, the same kind of crap can happen within our law enforcement community. And I have seen first hand the stifling of officers' rights to speak while their commander goes on TV and makes a commercial in full uniform speaking against the interests of the line officers.
- igoupwithHIM, on 11/15/2008, -0/+3Well, people, you know what runs down Hill _ _ _ _. In my little "town" we have law enforcement who used to be military police, and it has gone to their heads. They are overbearing and have very bad attitudes. That goes for sheriff, hwp, police officers, traffic cops, jailers at local jail, US Marshals, US Attorney, and the list goes on and on. Caught US Attorney that prosecuted two border patrol agents on Fox, and boy, Sean Hannity gave him a what for. Never answered truthfully, but rambled on and on and on and would not shut up with his ball-faced crap of lies. All US Attorneys are appointed by sitting president, i.e., this one by Bush. He is the biggest ***** I have ever seen. But when BHO comes into office is the only hope of getting rid of him if he will not play ball with new president. Sounds like present USA is a liberal wannbe to me. Their wives were supposed to be on Fox tonight. My family has been praying for them.
- notasmartasU, on 11/14/2008, -2/+14We can't make up our own minds. And as long as we allow the other side to confound our own logic we will continue to founder like a sinking ship adrift.
It must be terrible to have a brain and be told you can't use any intelligence that may have accumulated there. Sort of mentally handicapped by a self inflicted software virus that prevents logical thought.
Nice to know these are the folks doing the fighting, eh?
I actually thought it would take longer before we turned on our selves.- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -0/+11Let's not confuse the flag grade officers and their lunacy with the boots on ground. Most flag grade officers are too busy kissing a politician's arse to actually be of any decent use. This is exactly how they get 'noticed' for promotion later on.
- notasmartasU, on 11/15/2008, -0/+3You are a dead on shot, Marine!
It's un American to be so thin skinned that it makes you vulnerable to self destruction.

Dear Sir,
What are the marines doing that they should not be doing? Banning bumper stickers and treating this man like this.
How can this commander allow bumper stickers of Calvin relieving himself on the cross but this man is treated like this for expressing his opinion?
If the marines want to ban this sticker then they need to ban all stickers that might possibly be racist, sexist, or offensive to anyone for any reason.
Rebel Flags, American Flags, stickers that display a Dad, Mom, and their kids(that's prejudice against alternative lifestyles), gun control (ironic), pro-life (another irony), religious, political (I am offended by Obama stickers), etc. would also need to be banned.
If this commander can ban these stickers then no one should be able to put any stickers on their cars in the sense of fairness.- Tallen05, on 11/14/2008, -0/+6Don't forget your environmental side! Cars and all other vehicles with combustion engines are unfair and why don't we ban those altogether? Along with all our aircraft. In fact how 'bout everyone on earth gets put into a sealed plastic ball and we can live the rest of our lives out like that.
- ccso8462, on 11/14/2008, -0/+6To take the insanity to its utmost, shouldn't base ID stickers be banned from vehicles? Don't they make those without them feel less valued by society?
- sob1313, on 11/14/2008, -0/+6Plastic?!!! I am OFFENDED that you would suggest PLASTIC balls......Everyone knows plastic kills.. we need to all live our lives in sealed "eco-friendly" balls made of some kinda recycled crap. C'mon man, get with the program.
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1I also find Obama stickers and signs offensive.

- what1, on 11/14/2008, -0/+20How ironic: our military must fight and die to preserve our freedom of speech but are not allowed to practice it themselves.
- MarineVeteran1, on 11/14/2008, -0/+11Such is the nature of the military. Ironic, eh?
- BettyLou2, on 11/14/2008, -0/+16This is just the precursor of things to come. After Barry gets finished installing his "Girly-Men" in key positions of power and further dilutes the military with left-wing radicals, the military will look more like Code Pink than a well oiled machine capable of protecting America's interest.
History has provided us with evidence that democrats, in the modern era, gut the military every time they have the power to do so. Democrats in power are a gift from allah for Bin Laden and his minions. - downs1, on 11/14/2008, -0/+15Another example of suppression of first amendment rights. This bumper sticker is based on truth. I have seen pictures of Islamics holding signs saying "Behead those who insult Islam" and "Death to America" and "Kill those who defy Islam." Where is the outrage against those Muslims in this country who openly express their hatred of America? This is just one more sign of the impending death of America.
In World War II there were posters all over the place that showed anti-American feeling against our enemies at that time. We knew who the enemy was, and we didn't soften our anger against that enemy for what he did. Our enemy today is militant Islam. That is very clear. The terrorists themselves say they are at war with us, yet we mustn't say anything to "incite" them.
The Koran says "It is the sworn duty of every Muslim to conduct Jihad." If the people who were offended don't like the bumper sticker, let them leave this country and go back to their own Muslim countries. So long as they are our enemy, they have to expect to take some heat. There are literally thousands of Christians around the world who are dying for their faith at the hands of militant Muslims; however, the mainstream press doesn't cover this. At least we aren't killing these people who protest against a bumper sticker! Oh, and don't forget the Danish cartoonist who has a death penalty on his head for drawing a cartoon of Muhammad.- AThoughtOrTwo, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1Oh, wouldn't it be nice to bring back the 'detention camp' like we had for the Japanese during WWII? And put all the Islamics in them that disapproved of the sentiments of the American people. At least then, we would know where they all were!
One simple test would suffice: I would bring in a "book" labeled prominently "QURAN" (in Arabic, of course) in my bare hands. IF any objection is made - off they go.
I'm sure there are other simple tests that could be performed.

LET'S ROLL ! - PennFarmer, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2Is the guy taking the pictures shirtless? Looks like it in the second picture where the reflection of him is clearer.
- Christianptriot, on 11/14/2008, -2/+14I copied this from the Base Commander's Guidance for LeJeune:
6. KNOW YOUR WEAKNESSES AND THOSE OF OTHERS AROUND YOU.
• Cover one another now, and help one another grow.
7. PERFORM TO STANDARDS – DON'T COMPROMISE.
• Priorities, deadlines, and scope may be changed, but quality of performance as governed by policy or directive shall be met.
• Seek excellence but apply "zero defects" or perfection only when it is necessary or the mandated standard.
8. BE PROACTIVE AND GUARD AGAINST COMPLACENCY
• Start every day with the mission in mind, and end every day having a good answer to the question "what have you done for the Corps today?"
• Do not put off until tomorrow, what you can accomplish today. Do not create avoidable future crises.
Apparently that means that you MUST root out anyone or any thing that might cause some poor muslim or terrorist to have his or her feelings hurt by a bumper sticker.
AND IN CASE any of you want to contact ANY of the folks in the Chain of Command at LeJeune, here is their directory:
Battalion Core Staff
• Commanding Officer: (910) 451-5403
• Executive Officer: (910) 451-5403
• Sergeant Major: (910) 451-5403
• Adjutant: (910) 451-3383
• Operations Officer (S-3): (910) 451-3773
• Logistics Officer (S-4): (910) 451-4270
• Personnel Administration Center (IPAC): (910) 451-6220
• Family Readiness Officer: (910) 451-8578
• Battalion Chaplain: (910) 451-5998
The actions of this base are unconscionable and are a slap in the face to every Marine who died in the October 1983 barracks bombing - a memorial to those fallen brothers-in-arms in on LeJeune, and I knew many of those Marines. It saddens me to think that this officer - who has sworn an oath to protect our Constitution from all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC - has now apparently decided it is his job to strike down parts of the Constitution that he feels are inappropriate.- spoiled64, on 11/19/2008, -0/+0Thanks for remembering 10/83. It seems odd that some at LeJeune have forgotten what happened 25 years ago.
- ustatespatriot, on 11/14/2008, -2/+3Gay libs have gone too far! Maybe gay-libs are still mad about prop 8 passing in CA? Gay libs we defeated you before and we will defeat you again
- Sandpeep, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1ustatspartriot,
What does Prop 8 had to do this this case? Please stay on topic, You only hurt your point when you are so slow that you mix social issues that have NOTHING to do with each other.
- Sandpeep, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1ustatspartriot,
- wilgeno, on 11/14/2008, -1/+16Yes siree we can kill them on the battle field but we are in no way ever allowed to talk bad about them, their religion or their total hatred of freedom. If fact we must treat them better than our own troops when we catch any terrorists and put them in jail. They get food that meets there religious dietary requirements, worship time and a bed. Our troops get MRE's, and sand bunker with a poncho and are being told by some a*hole commanders they are not allowed to practice their religion.
Makes sense to me. NOT!
- ccso8462, on 11/14/2008, -0/+11wilgeno said "If fact we must treat them better than our own troops when we catch any terrorists and put them in jail"
Sounds like a mighty good reason to be fiscally responsible and make sure there are no survivors. A bullet is a lot cheaper than giving them a rack and a hot meal. - Gbaxterusmc, on 11/14/2008, -0/+15Thank God I'm retired! There are few "Leaders" left in the Military today, they're mostly "Managers" filling those positions. I had "Kill V.C." printed on my helmet cover and back then,we sure as H**l didn't care if the enemy was "Offended". Geeeze, Absolutely Moronic Commissioned Idiots!!!
"Semper Fi"
TopBaxter- jb1965, on 11/15/2008, -0/+9Thank you for your service, Marine...
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5Thank you for your service. You are the reason I am free.
Semper Fi, if anyone still knows what that means. - Janinco, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5Thank you for your service. It was NOT in vain.
- USAPartisan, on 11/14/2008, -0/+10There must be a ***** Marine officer at the bottom of this. Hey *****, if you love those muslim ***** so much, go join their military. We certainly don't want traitors like you amongst our bravest and finest!
- igoupwithHIM, on 11/15/2008, -0/+3I'll drink to that!!!
- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2No treachery should be allowed in the USA, especially in the military. What happened to being pro-American?
- AThoughtOrTwo, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1It is rapidly not being allowed any more to be "Pro-American."
I KNOW, I was working at a university during Desert Storm. I put up an American Flag with a yellow ribbon and was told to take it down. I said it was my Right to Freedom of Speech to hang that flag. If it is okay to burn our Flag, it MUST be okay to fly/display our Flag. I was threaten with dismissal. I threatened to go to a lawyer. The Flag stayed.
I have heard the same thing is going on now. Check out any of your local schools: high schools, community college and all universities - you won't see many, if any Flags of the United States of America flying there. You will, however, see Mexican, rainbow and other even more subversive elements.
- AThoughtOrTwo, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1It is rapidly not being allowed any more to be "Pro-American."
- Richstpete, on 11/14/2008, -6/+2So if they were anti-christian bumperstickers it would be ok?? You freaks would be the first one's screaming bloddy murdrer.
- AThoughtOrTwo, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1There are a LOT of 'anti-Christian' bumper stickers out there. Yes, by and large, we ARE okay with them. No, we don't LIKE them. But we are okay with them.
It is YOUR RIGHT to say any damn dumb thing you want to say. (Except for some very strict laws about libel and slander)

- jonhenry78, on 11/15/2008, -0/+9The same DoD that I served for 32 years and am now supporting the troops in Iraq (I am a contractor driving trucks on convoys). This is the same situational enforcement of the Laws / Regulations that Political Correctness (Political Dyslexia), that I have seen a few times.
If you think this is wrong just wait for the 20th of Jan 09 when Obama acends to power with Congress behind him.- ZepHed69, on 11/15/2008, -0/+4We need to push the fact that Barry has not provided proof that he is qualified to be president as mandated by the constitution.
- THEROD54, on 11/15/2008, -0/+10Hey, does this mean my " WHO WOULD AL QADEA VOTE FOR ? " bumper sticker is OFFENSIVE????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
- Janinco, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5yep ;o(
- jb1965, on 11/15/2008, -0/+8FTA: "Thompson said the next move on the part of the Marines might be to "eliminate the Marine's Hymn since the phrase 'to the shores of Tripoli' celebrates the Marine victory over Islamic forces in the Barbary Coast War and the Battle of Derne.""
I can see this happening under the Obama regime! - JessRN, on 11/15/2008, -0/+8This is ridiculous! Only seven years ago these people attacked our country and now we have to treat them with kid gloves!! Craziness, just insane. The terrorists are lucky this is how he chose to express his legitimate grief and anger.
- igoupwithHIM, on 11/15/2008, -0/+6The thing that worries me most is that Americans seems to forget so easily. How can we just sit by and watch our beloved America slide off into the ocean never to be heard from again. Election night, I cried, real tears, for I am afraid we are looking at the beginning of the end of the greatest country on the face of the earth. GOD SAVE AMERICA!!! I would probably have to get violent and REALLY HURT someone that told me that i could not visit my son's grave, especially since he gave his life for some ***** like the people at Camp Lejune who make these kind of off-the-wall decisions.
- pebbles70, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2The reason why liberals have so much power is that the conservatives allow them to have it.
If the conservatives started to get out of their comfortable chairs and protest, we could change the course of this situation because the politicians want votes, the media and the lawyers will support whatever is necessary to get money, and the professors will have to stop changing history and facts because no longer will be receiving large sums of money for their lies. - FreedomAmerica, on 11/16/2008, -0/+1Did anyone else notice the fat guy with his shirt off taking the picture of his bumper sticker. That should get him thrown off the base alone. Nice boobs though.
This is all so stupid, the war on terror is a war on you. - MarineVeteran1, on 11/27/2008, -0/+0I mean no disrespect to anyone for their desire to express their opinion. I have after all, served my country and people to insure that freedom. In other words, I put my money where my mouth is, I actually did it- I didn't just 'talk about it'.
Therefore, I think it preposterous that anyone would conclude that I would desire anything less than complete freedom of speech. That would be self-abasing, and I don't subscribe to that premise. Nonetheless, rational discourse demands rational thinking about facts in the here and now, not situations that can be attributed to the unknowable, that being 'God's Will'. Let's not go down the road of anyone thinking they know for darn sure that they know God's will. Thall shall not worship false idols, including ANYONE that is religious. Moreover, too many 'believers' go around thinking that God is talking to them... keep doing that and somebody will scoop you up and put you in the nuthouse or send you to the Middle East to join a suicide bomber cadre.
I am merely pointing out that there are way too many people who constantly are refusing to acknowledge that their Don Quixote like religious mantras are being compromised at the expense of good 'ol rational logic. There is no substitute for logic in argument, and religion often demands that we as humans capitulate our ability to reason and think- if favor of that to which they assign to 'faith'. When religion does that, we become its slave or victim. I give you the Spanish Inquisition, The Mayans, Puritan Witch Trials, Jim Jones of Guyana, crazy Muslims thinking it's okay to cut off people's heads, etc. You can believe in anything you want, it matters not to me. But when a discussion about Marine base policies erupts, it's not time to bring out the Bible and whack people over the head with it, so to speak.
I stand by what I said, without apology.
