FOX News Does It Again (Video Link)
foxnews.com — Apparently since Ron Paul pointed out at the GOP debate that US foreign policy may have had a hand in provoking terrorists to attack on 9/11, this means that he believes that 9/11 was an inside job. That's right, Ron Paul is now a 9/11 conspiracy theorist. Now that is one hell of a spin!

He has no idea about true foreign policy; But he has a great idea about marrying his second cousin, Regina Peruggi and he has an even better idea about being a crossdresser on numerous televised and national events. Vote Frudy if you want an incestuous tranny for President.
- canewediggit, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16ok, we get the point. stop spamming that comment. you want paul to be taken seriously? act like it.
- AKBryant54, on 10/11/2007, -4/+34I think I speak for all of us when I say:
WHAT THE *****!!
The media bias is clear, I hope the American people can see that now. - KMye, on 10/11/2007, -14/+4Wow, harsh. I think Ron Paul is a douche, as are the vast majority of 9/11 truthers, but this fabricated story is ***** UP, though brilliantly audacious in a certain way. They manage to heavily attack a non-MS candidate, democrats, Rosie and more all with no real foundation for the story in the first place. Please, God, don't let Murdoch by the WSJ.
- mrfreeziexp, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21I can't believe what I just saw.. I just... can't.. my jaw is on the floor.
Fox news, you seem to be in a race with yourself to see who can get to the bottom first. - bryanedds, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Wow, the lies are so brazen and transparent! This will only make Americans hate the mainstream media more, and sympathize with Ron Paul.
Toward liberty! - smackywentz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8I cannot stand hearing Rudy's ignorant comment could such a huge amount of applause. That pisses me off more than anything else.

"Wow, the lies are so brazen and transparent! This will only make Americans hate the mainstream media more, and sympathize with Ron Paul."
If the majority of Americans are only watching crap like Fox News and CNN, don't expect them to get any other point of view. I really fear for our future as long as the pre-internet generations are still around being fed this kind of *****.
- AdrianBisson, on 10/11/2007, -4/+30WHAT. THE. CHRIST.
This clip is just insane. - yabooyah, on 10/11/2007, -4/+28Holy *****. Wow. I new Faux News was bad but holy *****. If Hitler had Fox we'd all be white or dead. Thanks for the clip but I'm not gonna digg it up because it's not worth exposure to peeps who are susceptible to it's intent. Omg. Dumbfounded. Wow.
- iamso910, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I think exposure here, amongst a community that can point out the absurd bias and hypocrisy of FOX, will fasten their demise.
Their degree of deception is criminal IMHO. They need to be seen for what they are: A group of people paid for by power, trying to keep their hands on their power and privelage amongst the ranks.
Ron Paul and his supporters threaten to dismantle their throne. Their stupid kicking and screaming, when seen for what it is, will accellerate their demise.
So I think we should digg this link so it becomes widely known and mocked before it gets told 100 times and brainwashes the dumasses into thinking that Ron Paul is a conspiracy nut. That will be their strategy.

- Caudix, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10HA HA HA HA HA. Faux News would know news; if it pissed in their mouths.
- sharpfork, on 10/11/2007, -4/+24Paul has a realistic view for why we were attacked on 9/11. How these douche bags on Faux assert he is a 9/11 conspiracy theorist shows they put the status quo pseudo conservative GOP over truth and country.
I'm an independent turned Democrat who contributed to McCain's campaign in 2000 (before he started drinking the cool-aid to pander for the nomination) and respectfully disagree with Paul's social conservatism to the point I wouldn't be likely to consider voting for him. I can recognize he was the only guy on the stage who wasn't full of *****. He is a respectful voice of true conservatism who seems to love his country.
What interest is Faux news and Malkin representing in carrying water for the Bush supporting dumb ass GOP in Washington DC?
True conservatives need to try to take their party back and support Paul's nomination. The democrats have been trying to do that for a couple of years now with OK results so far.- Herkimer56, on 10/11/2007, -14/+2It's not that far of a stretch when you look at the people who are supporting him. Alex Jones is slobbering all over himself trying to give Ron Paul all of the support that his government hating, 9/11 truther media group can give him. Then there are the boys here on Digg. Start looking at their profiles and you'll find that the majority of his supporters are also 9/11 truthers. If it's true that you're known by the company that you keep then you can see why some people might be led to believe that Ron Paul is a truther. In fact, I'd say that the truthers are counting on it.

"Then there are the boys here on Digg. Start looking at their profiles and you'll find that the majority of his supporters are also 9/11 truthers."
I'm not, and I think it would be wrong to generalize like that. However the bottom of your comment has some validity to it, so I dugg you out from the negatives. - naconner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11I myself am gay, an atheist and pro-choice; and while I realize that he personally is religious, pro-life and for "traditional" marriage, his beliefs are just that: personal. He doesn't want to force them on you.
He and I agree that government shouldn't have any business in marriage, which is a private contract between individuals. It has no right to stipulate the terms of or parties to such a contract. He believes in liberty, and that includes the liberty of consenting individuals to do whatever they wish with their lives. Ron Paul believes that abortion should not be a federal issue (just like most everything else), and that the 9th and 10th Amendments absolutely apply in such cases. He would not sign any federal ban on it. He stands for the separation of church and state, just like our Founding Fathers. He is against the War on Drugs, and for personal responsibility and choice. And he is certainly not on a moral crusade of social engineering.
So what specific aspects of Paul's "social conservatism" do you take difference with, Sharpfork?
(And to Herkimer56: I am -not- a 9/11 truther.) - SiliconBadger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I agree totally with naconner.
Despite his personal views, he does not vote to impose them on others. He is trying to free these United States from an overbearing federal government that has usurped many times more power than it was intended to have.
Ron Paul does not want to tell people how to live their lives. He wants to ensure liberty for all people to decide for themselves what is right for them, as each individual is in a better position to know their own needs than politicians thousands of miles away.
- Bossobass, on 10/11/2007, -7/+54I have never had cable television and I'm 53 years old. After watching as much as I could stomach of this pathetic report, I dropped to my knees and thanked God I had the wisdom to avoid letting paid pukes like fatso and stinky into my home through the crap-wire.
I was at the debate in Columbia, South Carolina. Afterward, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Ron Paul, his most gracious and lovely wife, and four of their 15 grandchildren, where the Pauls spent time with every single supporter until Wednesday morning, despite the fact that Congressman Paul had a scheduled meeting four hours later and they were at the end of a 19 hour day.
I want to relate a conversation I was partially privy to between a young, 2-tour Iraq war US Army Veteran, whose wife also served and was severely injured and Congressman Paul.
Regarding Congressman Paul's comment in the debate that the US is building 14 permanent bases, someone asked, 'Is that true?'. The Veteran said immediately, 'He!! yes, it's true, I stayed in one. Building permanent bases is about ALL we're doin' over there. There never was an exit strategy, and there sure as he!! isn't a strategy to fight or win any sort of war.'.
Congressman Paul is a 10 term Congressman who has served on the Foreign Affairs Committee for years. His carreer nearly spans the CIA's entire 1/2 century of Global Intervention policies. Unlike the ex-Mayor, Ron is very knowledgeable in these matters and has read and understands the 9/11 Commission's official report, partially from which he formulated his answer regarding the reason for terrorist's focus on US targets.
From the 9/11 report: "Bin Ladin also stresses grievances against the United States widely shared in the Muslim world. He inveighed against the presence of U. S. troops in Saudi Arabia, which is the home of Islam's holiest sites, and against other U. S. policies in the Middle East. Upon this political and ideological foundation, Bin Ladin built over the course of a decade a dynamic and lethal organization."
Ron is also well aware of the millions of dollars in aid and billions of dollars worth of arms and training the CIA provided to the Mujahideen and Bin Laden in the war against the USSR in Afghanistan during the 80s, when Bush Sr. was VP.
The simple conclusion anyone with half a brain comes to is that the US created Bin Laden and then provided the reasons for him to build "a dynamic and lethal organization". IOW, Al Qaeda, who the report blames as the source of the attacks would not exist, and even if it somehow did, would have no reason to attack the US were it not for US Middle East Policies...period.
Just ask Rudy why it is that Switzerland has never been attacked by Al Qaeda. They are certainly rich, free and honor women's rights as much as anyone, those being the reasons Rudy gives for the 9/11 attacks.
Ron could easily have brought up the deplorable treatment of the 9/11 victim's survivors as well as the ongoing astoundingly poor treatment of the 9/11 firemen and police who suffer from the toxicity they were thrust into and so bravely answered the call to do. And then there is the fact that many rescuers died from the lack of ability to properly communicate, due to faulty radio equipment.
I also am incensed at the way FOX Mods asked Ron basically, 'You are the only one on this stage who doesn't support the Iraq war, so why are you even here?', yet I didn't hear them ask Rudy, 'You are the only one on this stage who supports abortion, so why are you even here.? No, the press include him in their so-called top-tier of manicured, rehearsed, wind-up talking heads.
There is also the fact that Rudy, who is on his third marriage and has had affairs on top of that, why that might certainly explain his stance for a woman's right to choose.
Outside the venue, across the street, where us ordinary citizens were confined to, Romney had the largest contingent of supporters who were equipped with T-shirts, pro signage and chanted in unison. Second in number, equipped with grassroots-made signage and banners were Ron's supporters. This was exactly reflected in the TEXT poll with Romney placing first and Ron Paul a close second. Yet, the press decries Romney's predicted win, but Ron's 'Unscientific', 'Rigged', 'Skewed' 'Paul's handful of Internet savvy, cheating supporters'.
While across the street you saw the parade of silicon-breasted, plastic-faced, expensive clothed, dyed-haired, limo-delivered folks streaming into the debate venue. This would easily explain the applause that accompanied Rudy's ignorant comment...consider the source.
Ron mentioned these things...these chinks in Rudy's armor...letting us know that he could easily have used them in a tit-for-tat schoolyard sort of argument, but that he would never do that sort of thing. He doesn't have to. Cheap-shot people always end up shooting themselves in the foot.
My advice is simple: If you want to know what Ron Paul believes about any issue, as well as what he specifically plans to do about it, head to the next debate venue, or demand a visit by him to your city or travel to a city he's appearing in, and...ASK HIM, NOT FOX NEWS WANKS. He'll answer your question.
The young Vet had traveled to see Ron Paul for personal reasons. Congressman Paul and he had some words in private. It was an emotional scene for me. I've never seen anything like it, actually. I won't say more to protect the young man's privacy as much as possible. Ron proceeded to spend some time with every single supporter and thanked them all individually for the support they showed him.
THAT'S why he leads or places in the top three of every poll that you'll see on line. No other reason. Ron Paul is the real deal. I've always hated news wanks. To watch and hear these cheesy shills discredit Ron and his supporters by snidly barking 'cheat' and 'fluke' makes me dislike them all the more. You have to ask yourselves why the press refuses to acknowledge it.- Herkimer56, on 10/11/2007, -41/+2Doing a little damage control tonight, spammer? I see that you joined just now to post this rant.

"Rudy has already humiliated the old crank once. Do we really need to see that again?"
"He reminds me a lot of Lyndon LaRouche whose political following really was based on a cult. Ron Paul's following seems to be based on government haters and 9/11 truthers. The mind-set between those people and cult members is not all that different."
"I think that your interest was always in Ron Paul or the truther movement which, come to think of it, are looking pretty much like the same thing these days. You'll have to run your game on someone else. Welcome to my block list."

Theres a point when we just don't want to read anymore. Wrap it UP! - libertylover1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I was there as well and his description of the events is very accurate. Ron Paul did come by and thank all the supporters who out of their own pocket made an effort to show their support for Ron Paul. We were there with our home made signs and one very large flag painted RV which sported many pro Ron Paul slogans.
Romney's supporters were paid for kids and were given campaign signs and shirts. It isn't hard to see how he could round up kids like this. Because in the Mormon religion young people are required to be missionaries for the church at some point. They are sponsored and have the available time to drop their mission work to show up for Romney. Cause it isn't the same as having a paying job requiring someone take vacation time off. Many of the Romney supporters didn't even look old enough to vote.
Sadly you can only post comments on digg. There were many people taking pictures and video taping the whole event. I suppose someone is going to come up with the conspiracy theory that they weren't really people and a super hacker is now also an evil genius computer animation expert.
People are so busy in their own lives and they have been conditioned to not question what the media is telling them. However they have to understand that it is up to them to stand up and be counted by physically showing support at events like this one. The ball is now in NH's court if you live in or around NH and support Ron Paul please turn up. Find out how to make a banner or just hand paint a sign. You can also design something on your CPU and print it out at a copy center that does over-sized prints. NH will be very exciting because more people in that area understand how important these public demonstrations can be to a campaigns. - Absinthminded64, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Herkimer56 meet block. Also, Bossobass, I'm glad to get an insiders view of what happened at the debate. I knew something was up with the audience when they applauded and supported torture more than most of the other things, as well as Rudy's blatantly deceitful and pandering comment Paul. I imagined, indeed, rich white men and mostly fake or superficial people made up the bulk of the audience.
Ron Paul is the only hope for the Republican party. Bring back TRUE conservative roots! Albeit with a little libertarian flair, which is fine by me! You know they're desperate when they bring in kooks like Michelle Malkin to blatantly lie about Ron Paul's position on 911. There's a connection between '911 truth' and U.S. foreign policy? Of course there's no connection! I think even the Lush Limbaugh and Shawn Hannity kooks will be able to see through this one. This is a sign that Fox News is done. I think even they know this. - mrsammercer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6They didn't even bother to link Paul to 911 conspiracy theories. They went straight from the debate, which had nothing to do with 911 conspiracies, then rambled on about 911 conspiracies for the rest of the segment, as if there was some relation between the subjects. WTF I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Oh and %35 of democrats think bush knew about 911 beforehand?? sounds like a poorly worded poll to me. I'm sure it read something like "do you believe the US government had intelligence regarding an impending attack similar to 911 before it happened" and fox news ran with it. in a big way.

These videos miss the teaser. Before the segment, John Gibson said something like "when we come back we'll find out how the Republican debate was infiltrated by a 9/11 conspiracy theorist." Then he says that Paul said that the United States "had a hand 9/11." They made all the link they need to make to assassinate his character.
I think Ron Paul should sue. This is presidential politics! The stakes are high.

50 Years from Now, we may know the truth about 9/11 and Dr. Paul will be seen as a Hero for bringing this up in public debate. DR. Paul represents MILLIONS of Americans, if he suppots the need for a New 9/11 Investigation, which I think he does. No one knows what happened that day and if you claim you do, you are operating on Blind Faith in your government, despite the many examples in our history which prove our government is ready, willing and able to construct conflict, if seen in the National Strategic Interest. "Google "Operation Northwoods" if you doubt, what our government is capable of. - gotamd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8How ridiculous. Ron Paul is not a conspiracy theorist whatsoever. Shame on Fox News!
