We've had some rough times, especially when our dad got pissed about that whole Declaration thing. Oh, and totally sorry about that whole White House playing with matches. But in more recent times, you and I have become great friends, and we've tried to distance ourselves a bit more from the whole "Monarch" thing. Still working on the money though.
However, we are different in many many ways, but we are most certainly not as different as North America is from much of the world. So please take my comments as critically constructive, from a friend who also has many flaws.
Many years before we did, you decided to leave good old Dad. Sure, we got a little pissy about it and helped Dad shoot at you, but your cheese loving buddies came to the rescue and you won.
Your letter to Dad was pretty amazing. It really opened one's eyes to the tyranny of a monarchy.
So, why are you abandoning that? Sure, I've been the loser brother who hasn't really done much, but ***** man, why did you piss Dad off so much just to behave like him a couple hundred years later? Are you trying to become what you so historically left?
In closing, the word "people" is something like the third word in your famous letter to daddy. I'm sure it was hard to write that to your father, but hay, as a brother, stick to your guns. You are still "We the People" not "We the Serfs".

I signed Kucinich's petition because King George Bush has infringed on our civil liberties, taxed us with inflation, and is personally responsible for the murder of tens of thousands of innocent people.
