Wolf73b, on 07/03/2008, -10/+2Man, the old mantra about Republicans being racist, the Bush administration being a bunch of criminals, and the Democrats being the diverse, all-loving saviors of the world is getting so tired. Republicans do occasionally (I'm being sarcastic!!!) do things the wrong way. However, all-in-all, Democratic initiatives have caused much more chaos than Republicans.

  Chaos, btw, is what is going on in Iraq, the housing market, hiring in the Department of Justice.

This is a pretty small lie - umm, excuse me "mistake" - compared to most of Rove's whoppers, but it's a lie nonetheless and goes far in showing the clear pattern of deceit.

Just like Bush is a liar and McCain is a liar, once you understand that someone has no qualms about lying to your face, then you should wake up and never believe them. You being the American Public.

There are NO consequences to lying to the media, and none in lying as part of a political scheme.
Tell me why he wouldn't lie when he has nothing to lose?

ichbeineinrcg, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I think that Karl cares about legacy even more than President Bush does, and watching that golden legacy turn to ***** is a knife in his gut every single day.

Just a few years ago Rove was the most highly-regarding political strategist of the decade, the golden boy who lead Bush to two terms and seemed untouchable. Then the 2006 midterm elections happened, the war he helped start didn't get any better, and the dream of an overwhelming national Republican majority didn't just die, it was stoned to death by jeering crowds who have come to despise everything the brand stands for.

Karl's gone from being the smartest guy in the room to a third-tier columnist and guest talking head on Fox. It's sad, in a way, but it's absolutely delightful because it happened to Turdblossom.
