The only way the United States is going to reinvigorate this stagflating economy is to embrace innovation, and I believe it should be intolerable to act as an elected official without being informed of the *real* issues. Do I care about illegal immigration? Not much. Tell me about net neutrality. Tell me about patent reform. Tell me about investing in our nation's failing infrastructure (including broadband coverage here in the States).
For one, I bet if we invested heavily in universal broadband and provided tax incentives, we could encourage people to give up their commute and work from home, teleconferencing instead of guzzling oil. - lukifer, on 02/20/2008, -0/+3Do it, Lawrence. Our rapidly failing democracy needs people like you.
- werkshop, on 02/20/2008, -0/+2At least keep making your powerpoint-eque informative videos. The world is better for it.
- N3tw0rk, on 02/21/2008, -0/+3For those who don't know who Lessig is; he is a professor of law at Stanford Law School and founder of its Center for Internet and Society. He is founder and CEO of the Creative Commons and a board member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and of the Software Freedom Law Center.
