Matthews rips Kevin James for not knowing Chamberlain [VID]

crooksandliars.com — Right wing talker Kevin James tried to call Obama “Neville Chamberlain,” but as is usually the case with these talk show conservative hosts, he knew nothing about the historical facts revolving around Chamberlain and what happened as Hitler took power and started a war with Europe. I guess just repeating RW talking points doesn’t work sometimes.

  • reventlov, on 05/16/2008, -0/+3I have always had mixed feelings towards Matthews. He can be a little flaky at times, but this was great. He really stuck to his guns and wouldn't let that retarded conservative mouthpiece spew his propaganda. Not only does Kevin James not know what Chamberlain did (signed the Munich Agreement, giving part of Czechoslovakia without even inviting them into the discussion), but I also don't think he could really define appeasement. Someone get that man a dictionary and a history lesson.
    There seems to be a commonly held belief among these morons that if you talk loud enough, repeat your lies often enough, they become true. You don't even have to know what you're talking about, just read the cue card the bush government was kind enough to provide, and you're ready for prime time TV.
    Five minutes of research on the subject would have provided James with enough knowledge to answer that question and he could have gotten through that interview, but then it might have been all too obvious to see that diplomacy is not appeasement.
