- IrishJoe, on 10/06/2008, -0/+25FTA: "Late last week, Lindner co-hosted a $25,000-per-person fundraiser for McCain and the Republican Party in the wealthy Indian Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The event raised about $2 million; Lindner also serves on McCain's Ohio Victory Team."
"While Lindner was CEO of Chiquita, the company began sending money to the AUC [terrorist group] through its shipping subsidiary Banadex. A report by the Organization of American States states that Banadex also engaged in arms trafficking, helping to deliver 3,000 Nicaraguan AK-47 rifles and millions of rounds of ammunition to the AUC in 2001. According to federal prosecutors, when company officials realized the arrangement was illegal, they switched to making the payments in cash."
So let me get this straight, as recently as last week John McCain was palling around with a terrorist. And Sarah Palin is spouting off about some guy who was an anti-Vietnam War terrorist back when Obama was 8. - Rusty626, on 10/06/2008, -0/+19Just one more name to add to the list of McCain's dubious friends and supporters.
- niradg, on 10/06/2008, -0/+18Hopefully the Ohio papers do their job and report on this. Same goes for the media of the South American community in Florida.
- MediaWeasel, on 10/06/2008, -0/+15McCain has just declared open season on himself. Did he really think that a few more excavations of the smears he's tried before would work to bring down Barack Obama?
"If they bring a knife, I'll bring a gun ..." - JoeParanoid, on 10/06/2008, -1/+6The Colombian government should be designated a terrorist organization for what it does to its people and for allowing itself to be used as a staging area for U.S. destabilization exercises in the region.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -0/+9McCains' list just keep getting loner.
26 years in Washington,no telling what all he has buried the dosen't want the public to know. - Arishia, on 10/06/2008, -0/+6Glenn, McCain, Cunningham, Rumsfeld. Military aviator heroism isn't looking like much of a character builder or anything you would want to put on your resume as a plus. What's up with pilots?
- cheesegypsy, on 10/06/2008, -0/+3Just imagine, we funded terrorist groups in Latin America. Are you kidding me? I'll be happy when the military-industrial complex has no money left to go and ***** up other countries.
- jrndigg, on 10/06/2008, -0/+7This pile of ***** know as mccain / palin can't get much higher and it's beginning to smell to even the republican's.
Vote Obama! - LaceKing, on 10/06/2008, -0/+3*Jawdrop*

Ayres and Wright my ass. - JazLive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1This is incredible. McCain and Cindy's fortunes may be in danger of being seized by the U.S. Marshall. This connection can be considered business which is against Federal Law. Pressident Roosevelt signed into law http://www.qassia.com/trading-with-the-enemy-act back in 1942 to stop GWB's grandfather Prescott Bush and great-grandfather, George Herbert Walker, from doing any further business with Nazi Germany. Prescott's assets were seized http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2004/sep/25/usa.se ...
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2I don't remember the details but I seem to remember reading a while back that Chiquita had found itself in a situation where it was either send money to a terrorist group in the area or watch as a handful of their employees die every month. Not trying to be a naysayer, but this deserves some skepticism and research before jumping all over it.
