- OldAtlantic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This was a case where a reporter promised not to reveal the identity of a person who had a blog in order to induce them to talk to the reporter. The reporter then revealed their identity in the print edition of the paper.
This was done because the reporter had different views than the blogger, Sheik Yer'mami. The result is to expose Sheik Yer'mami and his family to risk from jihadis. This risk is real as shown by the various killings or threats or people receiving government protection because they spoke out as Sheik Yer'mami has. It is also shown by the fear of the MSM to publish the Danish Cartoons or even to speak out openly about Islam and the Quran or to advocate stopping Muslim immigration.
