Senate Voted Tonight to Stop Big Media & FCC

stopbigmedia.com — In a near-unanimous voice vote tonight, the Senate passed a “resolution of disapproval” that would nullify the Federal Communications Commission’s latest attempt to dismantle longstanding media ownership limits. This vote is a resounding victory for the vast majority of Americans who oppose media consolidation.

  • Bokista, on 05/16/2008, -0/+1I have a friend who is working on Capitol Hill in a media watchdog group and he sent us e-mails yesterday afternoon asking us to contact our Senators about this because things looked pretty dire. Great to see that it was near-unanimous!
