- girwen, on 07/10/2008, -0/+6Click through this link, a couple of clicks and they e-mail your representative (or at least the person who is supposed to represent you) for you. My non-rep is John Culberson who is proud to have a 0% rating from the ACLU and a 8% from the league of conservation voters., and 0% from the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
- ethanthom, on 07/10/2008, -0/+4Told my entire friends address book,VERY IMPORTANT BILL
- GDAEman, on 07/11/2008, -0/+7The consolidation of media and wealth threatens our liberty. It's EASY to take a little action. Now we gotta spread the word too.
- GravitySpec, on 07/11/2008, -0/+3I agree, the amount of time needed to fill out the form is less than a minute but can have such a large impact for reaching out to your lawmakers about this growing issue. Don't sit on this thinking others will get the work done. We are running out of time to convince enough representatives to fight for us against the major media conglomerates. The FCC has already caved in to them, so it's up to us and our lawmakers to put the FCC back in its place.
- flotron9, on 07/11/2008, -0/+3As Fred Sanford used to say, "This is the big one, Elizabeth!"
The House has been pretty good about standing up to the special interests, and this time the Senate has their backs. But we need a VETO-PROOF MAJORITY!!!! - dordnuuv8, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6I don't watch TV or read print newspapers cuz i'm interested in facts not spin, but i'm completely opposed to allowing corrupt special interests to control the info Americans have access to, so i signed this AND called my "representative"
- MrBfltspk, on 07/11/2008, -0/+2I no longer watch any TV news, read any newspapers, including the New York Times, and I no
longer listen to NPR or PBS. They can not be trusted. - macdoodle, on 07/11/2008, -0/+4get that majority.
stop the one way propaganda machine. its up to you ! - reelectnoone, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2Balance everything against foreign press. Sometimes the only truth you can find is printed or broadcast outside of the US borders. If one giant controls the press and one president controls that giant ( more likely the other way around actually ) American's will only be spoon fed propaganda.
- Waterrat, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Agreed...I saw an interesting talk on C Span,I forget now who was the speaker, but he said that this media control plan was started 30 years ago by those in power and they have gradually made changes which put us where we are today...This was no accident people, they really worked hard to get to this point! Oh,and you can bet your bottom dollar they will work really hard to keep things as they are...It's all about power and control.

- djstory, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1the more freedom the better.
- ApMasterSite, on 08/11/2008, -0/+2Spread the word guys. I am sick of cooperation taking over our lives, especially that company Viacom stealing our personal information...
WE NEED MORE FREEDOM!! SIGN THE PETITION!!!
Take a stand and tell those corrupt bastards in Washington (FCC) to vote straight this time. - virushead, on 08/11/2008, -0/+1It's hopeless for GA senators, but I'll sign anyway.
- Waterrat, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Corporations now control the publishing industry (books,magazines,newspapers ).
Big media.(radio,TV,)
Food (Read The Omnivore;'s Dilemma.)
Pet "industry" (Petsmart,Petco,etc.)
Pharmaceutical
Hospitals
etc.- muckemuck, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1 .. it's ok for "corporations" to control those.. they're businesses..
BUT
.. it's not ok for just 4 or 5 mega corporations to control the majority of those. That's where we are today with just a small number of corporations owning the vast majority of news outlets (TV, print, radio) across the country.

- jlfb, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1I'm signing on principle.
