- fadeout, on 07/01/2008, -2/+3Some of those nukes aren't exactly US nukes, they're for NATO. Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands - as non-nuclear powers that could certainly develop them if they wanted - arguably need anti-Soviet nuclear capabilities during the cold war.

- chicofaraby, on 07/01/2008, -6/+2At least 150 nukes in Europe.
And Iraq was a threat to the USA.
Yeah. Right. - db0255, on 07/02/2008, -3/+4Not that I would side with Russia, but don't you think it's ironic that we have nukes all up in their grill, but they try to put them in Cuba, and suddenly it's an aggressive move...
- daimposter, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2Police have guns in ghettos with criminals that carry guns. So, no, it's not ironic that the US/Europe has nukes up in the grill of the Russians.
- Iztikeit, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1Nope, that's exactly what should happen. America is a dick nation and the Soviet Union was a dick nation. They both were just giant dicks with severe
- db0255, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1Way to miss my point.

- Jettparmer, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3db0255, your reference to the Cuban missile crisis is not relevant to this information. What is also missing are overall nuclear weapons in Europe - including Ukrainian, Russian, UK, and French. The shocking drop in US inventory is a testament to the changing perception of the Russian threat
- DanDeren, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2So, who do you suppose is defending Europe, anyhow - the EU? The Europeans get to have their nice social welfare system because they don't have to pay for defense. If it wasn't for NATO (aka the US and a few other allied troops), historically there wouldn't have been anything standing between the Red Army coming down the Fulda Gap and Western Europe. It's call the "nuclear umbrella" and, whether they acknowledge it or not, the Europeans are safer for it.
- HanFastolfe, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2"...whether they acknowledge it or not.."
They wont. They're ashamed, and rightly so. These clowns have never been able to keep general war from happening in Europe for very long.

- Iztikeit, on 07/02/2008, -1/+0At least they aren't getting into the hands of uncivilized.......I wish I could say that without hesitation, but I can't.
