Nobody was punished for killing men women and children. No apologies. No serious investigations. Here we had a prime example of a government gone on a rampage and nobody in the Clinton administration was held accountable. And your math is off by about nearly 40 years.

        dont look to the "side" in power for the outrage (look at the blind loyalty that prevents war crimes on Dick/Bush), nor believe the sides make a difference at the top. the left and right, support each other. they wouldn't still be in power if they were colluding.

        get off your high horse (hahaha) and realize that the two party system was meant to keep us from changing the path they have us on... if you still think all that has happened is coincidence, you must truly be as naive as you come off...

        you really think that the elite dont want the United States to end? are you some kind of nutbar coincidence theorist or something?

      It does make sense in the face of the GOP flouting the law at every turn.
      Once again we find the right wing defending the criminals and arguing against the rule of law.

  • wasaka, on 10/09/2008, -3/+20ok folks put 2 and 2 together! we have just seen the unraveling of the American financial market.. by the 9th of October, we will see this financial hurricane get worse and worse.. these bailouts of over 2 trillion dollars will only delay the inevitable. Remember the secret congressional meeting last spring and word leaked out that the financial system would collapse this fall! with what we have just seen the past 3 weeks think there was any truth to it? I think the Government is expecting rioting etc.. this is why we are seeing headlines like this.. now all we need is a big terrorist incident in this country to blame the collapse of the US economy on. please be very carefull and please prepare!
  • cashman57, on 10/09/2008, -1/+16The way out of the last great depression caused by the federal reserve was a world war and an increase in government debt.
    With the federal debt already in the extreme red it is unlikely they will be able to buy their way out of this depression and it is only logical that hungry and unemployed people are going to protest.
    About a dozen years ago we made the decision to move to a small city with an agriculture base for the local economy.
    This decision has paid off handsomely as we were able to buy a home with a few gold coins and have been able to add to our collection. As the life in the cities becomes more difficult we will be insulated from that violence and since 90+% of the people in this city are armed, it is unlikely we will see the type of unrest the big cities will have.
    I feel sorry for people who are now living in the city and will more than likely see the violent reaction to the meltdown on our economy due to mismanagement of the currency by Treasury and the Federal Reserve.
