Video shows cop choking marijuana suspect
rawstory.com — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating after video shot from inside at Mt. Juliet patrol car shows an officer choking a suspect. After reviewing the tape, the district attorney dropped charges and handed the tape over to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

This is not an exception. The officer was obviously trained to act this way. He even had an official name for what he did - "vascular restraint"!

If that guy were chewing gum, they will do the same thing and there have been instances in the past where suspects were choked to death. This has been going on for the past three decades. The show Cops routinely show officers choking drug suspects for illegal drugs. What the show doesn't allow to be aired are videos where the suspect dies from choking injuries sustained during arrests. One officer actually used a martial arts chop to the throat of a suspect, on camera, and had to call an ambulance when the suspect started turning blue, just 10 second after the chop was delivered. The guy died later, but the good news is he didn't have any drugs on his person and the officer got a medal for trying to save the guy's life. How mess up was that?
