Why Big Oil's Iraq Deals Are the Greatest Robbery in History
guardian.co.uk — Several of the architects of the Iraq war don't even bother to deny that oil was a major motivator for the Iraq invasion. - qdkk, on 07/04/2008, -0/+4The blatant corruption found in every crevice of the Bush administration is staggering. And the outrage expressed by the public is hardly acknowledged by congress. What's going on?
- HeartlandUSA, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Congress is still controlled by Republicans. You see even if the Dems in Congress pass a bill, Bush can veto it, then it goes back to Congress & they can only overturn the veto if the Republicans vote for it. Don't blame the problems that we have that were created by the Republicans on the Dems, because the Dems are powerless. But, if they get enough seats in Nov &/or the Executive Branch too, then things can happen to roll back some of this extreme right wing legislation. If they have the power & don't do that, then you can blame them to your heart's content.
