- zombieball, on 10/12/2007, -1/+42Just a BSG fan site, not the real thing hacked. Seems as though he is just going for out dated IIS servers, not too impressive! Wouldn't want to own his neighbor's IP right about now though :P
- RogerStrong, on 10/12/2007, -4/+98Script kiddie defaces over 500 sites.
Worst case of small penis syndrome I've ever seen. - Akaji, on 10/12/2007, -2/+96Battlefield Galactica? Please don't give EA any ideas...
- AmishRefugee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8at least it appears he was security warning hacking Roger, he just replaced the front page of the sites with some text saying the site wasn't secure
- alpturktegin, on 10/12/2007, -19/+0Long live Atatürk!
- hitze, on 10/12/2007, -3/+38lol, BATTLEFIELD GALACTICA.
- shaun1018, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21So... it wasn't the Cyclons?
- pwill, on 10/12/2007, -21/+4Anyone else find it funny that all the sites on the list run Windows?
- never102, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19This is just some stupid kid who wants attention and you tools are giving him exactly what he wants.
Burried as lame. - raptordrew, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Site down... was it hacked?
- slicedoranges, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Looks like someone saw digg yesterday and wanted their moment in the spotlight. But hey, I respect that!
- Ozzy73, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11iamcitizen: That is not true at all. If you would've checked that zone-h report you could see that many are being run on Mac. From page 6 to page 15 you get all MacOSX.

- RogerStrong, on 10/12/2007, -4/+98Script kiddie defaces over 500 sites.
- Jolinar, on 10/12/2007, -4/+34Battlefield Galactica? Man, my DVDs have the wrong title on them. I thought they were real but Best Buy must now be selling bootlegs with the wrong title name on them. Be careful that you don't get those fake "Battlestar Galactica" DVDs pretending to be Battlefield Galactica!
- geoken, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Wait 'till you find out Star Wars episode III wasn't called "The Backstroke of the West"
- pdrap, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1On the Battlefield Galactica, NOBODY can hear you scream.
- hedgefighter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Looks like some attacks on outdated Apache servers too. He's honestly not a big threat compared to the other guys: http://www.zone-h.org/component/option,com_topatt/Itemid,48/ He doesn't even make the list. The top guy has almost 200,000 attacks. Also, these are small sites so it's not really much of an accomplishment. He probably just runs a script that takes advantage of a known security flaw in outdated servers. These are the real guys: http://www.zone-h.org/component/option,com_topatt/Itemid,49/ They actually attack the big sites. aLpTurkTegin is just a nuisance.
- Sashdaman, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Yeah. For me a small webdeveloper. It's guys like me that would become under threat. Most of those top 10 hackers are Chinese and do only a few a day and are governmental sites. Internet treason :P
500+ In a day is nuts. Ok it may not be a big problem to us but it's just the shear velocity of the operation this guy carries out daily.- Akaji, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Probably used a script focusing on oft-unknown vulnerabilities. It really isn't that hard.
- actionscripted, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Script-slapping IIS servers is the digital equivalent of beating up an old lady.
Buried as lame. Find something better to do, script-o.
- Suplyndmnd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Way #1 to get a LOT of unwanted attention? Attack 500 sites in 24 hours. When will the script kiddies learn? Good job goober for making a name for yourself. aLpTurkTegin is your online name but in jail it'll be fresh meat.
- calorifer, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2at least he just defaced them, the admins will probably wise up and patch their servers, it's actually a good thing these kids do stuff like this otherwise we'd have a lot more botnets with higher output slamming dos attacks here and there.
- Plasmatica, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Battlefield Galactica vs Battlestar Earth
- subsonik, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Man, don't play. BSG has been seriously traversing into BFE territory since the later second season. Just mixing them like that could cause rifts all through the decent/show continuum.
- damonic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2BFE is Bum-***** Egypt, right?
- DigitalJester, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Has anyone considered this isn't a single dude, but a team of them? If this were a single person, he'd have only a couple minutes to hack each site.
- varmit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Possible, but its also possible that this person does just a massive port scan for a certain target, this time it looks to be an exploit in IIS. When he finds a bunch, he runs his single script to change them all to his little page saying he cracked their site. Its not impossible to do it. Most people here believe he is using a exploit tool that is widely available and anyone could use and make the changes he is doing on a massive scale. That is why a bunch of people are saying Script Kiddy.
- lonewalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how about bots? you know those zombie-bots systems
- geoken, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28500 sites in 24 hours. This guy must be raking in the women.
- kpeatt, on 10/12/2007, -13/+0Why is this on the front page?
- detlev409, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20I know it doesn't seem like it anymore, but once upon a time, Digg was all about technology stories. You would've been pretty bored, I guess.
- meshman, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3I wonder how many sites he can hack with a mouthful of broken teeth?
- hitze, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Probably the same amount, now a hand full of broken teeth, that might be a bit more difficult.
- axentrix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Someone needs to get laid
- SuckMyDigg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5If he's smart, this was an accident, or he'll realize his mistake and he will have napalmed his computer and thrown it off a high bridge into a deep body of water.
If he's stupid, he's posting all over AOL about his exploits and how big his digital peenor grew and the feds are just biding their time.- night141, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2not the peen :(
- subsonik, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Remember that I said this...this will be a new form of viral marketing.
- kudos, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8What a powerful and incredibly vague statement. I will remember that you said it, if you remember that i said this... you are a moron.
- subsonik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dude, who told you to take my peen out of your mouth and start yappin'? Keep suckin' and concentrate on what you do best. :)
- jalexhall1989, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14It was probably that damn Zero Cool or Crash Override..
- taosd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Zero Cool and Crash Override were the same person...
- alphaterminus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Floppy on the can with juicy fruit
- ub3rgeek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Maybe you are thinking of Acid Burn?
- h0dg3s, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1That movie was lame.
I give it 8 thumbs down.
- jonpotz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1superforker.c
- KingMeatwad4th, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Haha are of any of these site of any worth whatsoever?
- Hackzaur, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1BTW: sites down.
Question: where is dugg mirror? I haven't been seeing them around - NYG1988, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11See, girls. This is what happens when you ignore all the ugly, pimple-ridden kids. Save the internet, give a pity bang!
- Hackzaur, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Ya, that really isn't that impressive. Probably some 13yr old looking to impress a girl @ school or something. 2 flaws though: he gave his handle/ IP (which can be traced) and he generated so much publicity. Even if none of those sites reported the "hack" he'll be facing alot more people knowing about it.
Moral of the story: Actually become a decent hacker, NO SCRIPT KIDDI3S - ser748, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2This sucks.. hack an important server instead of 1000 of the schools computers; this if you want to be a "hacker" ;)
- spewn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Mr Stallman is still unhappy with the incorrect use of the word 'hacker'..stop it, please? for Stallman & all things GNU! :P
- jakster4u, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Heres my schools IP address, get to work, lol!
- thripper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0did you view source the defaced sites ?
my granny's html is way better than that
http://www.dwauk.com/photos/
EDIT : That guy is LAME !- shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yea he is lame as hell, couldn't think of anything better then that?
"My Best friends are : | eno7 | Thehacker | iskorpitx & metlak | sanaleskiya |"
- shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yea he is lame as hell, couldn't think of anything better then that?
- PRlME, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1i think the kid is cool if all he did was run a script or not......technically he did hack the sites.
hacking is not about knowing every little thing its about exploiting things.
sure he might be a pain in the ass but yo fact is "You MoFoz Got Owned!" - handsomeramin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1just dont use a windows server. use linux.
- niteskunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.zone-h.org/component/option,com_attacks/Itemid,43/filter_defacer,iskorpitx/
A great deal of the security is up to the admin, not just the OS.
I can't stand people who use Linux as a buzzword but don't realize basic facts like this... take your fanboy spam elsewhere, you're not wanted here.
- niteskunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.zone-h.org/component/option,com_attacks/Itemid,43/filter_defacer,iskorpitx/
- jamesallen74, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, someone with no social life
- cowabuse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Let me guess most of them run windows servers?
- mmykle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1zomg, i remember when somebody hacked my schools website and posted a giant pic of the linux penguin, it was funny.
www.hightechhigh.org
theres the website if anyone wants it, i would post their IP but i can only get it when im at the school. - Cogita, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Thanks a lot! Not for me, definitely
- nonchallant0819, on 03/31/2008, -0/+0This is a great story... found this one through http://www.google.com
