Startup offers free Internet security( openDNS) service
sfgate.com — San Francisco startup OpenDNS is trying to change the industry landscape by giving away its computer security service. As an added benefit, it speeds up the Web experience. And all the time, the service is becoming smarter with input from 50,000 of its 4 million users - some of them network administrators.

- EsoxLucius, on 07/10/2008, -0/+0openDNS is absolutely brilliant when it comes to using it as a dns. I've been using this service for almost an year now at home and besides the fact that I can't use my address bar for direct searching openDNS feels a lot more easier, fun and especially safer to use.
The only thing I can't really agree is the higher speed, because I can't see any difference. - sethpr, on 07/10/2008, -0/+0I am a systems administrator for various companies and have used it in some of my smaller clients, it works great! OpenDNS should be the default DNS pre-configured in the home routers.
