      I used to watch that show while I was in Spain, friggin ruled. Some notes about the anime:

      - The field was 28km. Therefore, a kick from midfield would travel some 14km. This would easily explain the need for 3 episodes for the ball to reach the goal.
      - Whenever the ball is kicked, it becomes a tortilla (flat like paper) in order to demonstrate the ludicrous-speed it travels.
      - The ball has the equivalent destructive power of a supernova.
      - The field magically becomes a mountain, players must ascend at least 12km before they can score.
      - Only 3-4 players matter, the rest of the team can go ***** themselves.

    I especially liked the scene where they turned the "stage" sideways to give an idea of height to the one shot. That and the scene where the ball was going so fast the goalie lost all his clothes due to the force of the shot.

    If you don't know what is happening, go see Shaolin Soccer. If you didn't like that movie, you won't like this, much less understand it.
