The Best Goals of Euro 2008 in Photos
sportsillustrated.cnn.com — Fernando Torres, broke through off a brilliant feed from Xavi Hernandez in the 33rd minute. Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, at 38 the oldest player in the competition, charged from his net when he saw that defender Philipp Lahm was beaten on the right side.

- FrenchCart, on 07/01/2008, -4/+3Just want to add that Lehmann is an a..hole. Look at him trying to kick Torres! Not the first time he is doing something like that
- sgtbutterscotch, on 07/01/2008, -1/+3Yeah like they all don't do stuff like that...
- orenshk, on 07/01/2008, -1/+5What are you talking about? that was a lame goal! I'm glad Spain won and all, but that was a slow goal in slow game. By no means one of the best goals in Euro 2008
- Brodels, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1maybe not the best, but lame? I don't think so.

- rald84, on 07/01/2008, -16/+2considering its soccer, shouldn't it say " All the Goals of Euro 2008 in Photos"
- whiterice0, on 07/01/2008, -27/+2Soccer, heh. What a joke. It's the sport for everyone under the age of 10.
- EnderMB, on 07/01/2008, -1/+10With your mentality you'd fit right in.
- fandyboy, on 07/01/2008, -1/+7Haha, look at those NFL and NHL pussies that wear full body armour. They would get laughed at on a rugby field.
- KaiserArny, on 07/01/2008, -4/+1You're as ignorant as whiterice0. Try to catch a forward pass in the NFL (which doesn't exist in rugby) without any protection. Try to understand the speed of play in hockey and the closed surface of play. Before making any dumb comments, try to play these sports before. I played all of these sports. And rugby is surely not the most dangerous. Football (soccer) can be as tough as rugby. Don't people in the UK play this funny game called cricket? Don't the use some kind of body armor as well?
- fandyboy, on 07/01/2008, -2/+2Soccer can be as tough as rugby?! No ***** way dude, that just proves you have no idea what you are talking about.
- EnderMB, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3The reason NFL works is because the guys are built up to become large, depending on their roles in the team. The difference between American Football players and Rugby players is that Rugby players don't play in set pieces for an entire game, meaning they have to rely on fitness, not bulk to get them through a game. America just doesn't seem to like games that play out for a full 90 minutes with minimal scoring, might be a short attention span or something.
I'd agree that Football can be as tough as Rugby as far as injuries go. Rugby players are using their full bulk whilst a Football player relies on their legs (apart from the goalie of course).
- Cloud7654, on 07/01/2008, -0/+6Yup, what a joke. I mean, it's only the most popular sport in the entire world.
- geneticlone, on 07/01/2008, -2/+30Um, shouldn't this be a video?

- sgtbutterscotch, on 07/01/2008, -0/+6How about you don't call it anything and gtfo out of the soccer section?
- SyntraFTW, on 07/01/2008, -0/+4Yeah, personal opinion, friend.
You don't like it? Fine. Don't look at the articles.
Blocked, btw. - fandyboy, on 07/01/2008, -0/+5Racism combined with ignorance and offensiveness. You are teh Winz0rz!11
- Niubai, on 07/01/2008, -1/+3owww, I never felt so happy in bury a comment. You're SO buried, I'm sad I can do it just one time :(

These playoffs were fantastic- Ulisses, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2I thought it kind of sucked after the quarter finals when Holland got out and Russia played their last good match.
- EnderMB, on 07/01/2008, -1/+1Calling it a playoff is a good way to get buried. This isn't an American sport.
- starseeker, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1yes! Feranando Torres got a fantastic goal in the final, one and only ,he is the hero of Spain
- SyntraFTW, on 07/01/2008, -0/+12Videos are much better than photos as far as goals go.

This one is hilarious! - GiggleStick, on 07/01/2008, -13/+1Did they get pictures of all 3 goals?
- overt, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3Still images. Awesome.
- n0xz, on 07/01/2008, -1/+6The pictures are beautiful, but a few of those are not "best goals", but merely "important goals". Euro 2008 was great, I'd like to re-watch some of those goals.Especially the ones by Robben and Ballack.
I miss Zidane, perhaps the best player ever. France is soulless without him and I miss the beautiful plays of France in its heydays.- EnderMB, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1France never really stood a chance with their attitude to the game. It just goes to show how ignorance of your opponents ends extremely badly, and that goes double for Italy.

- mikesly, on 07/01/2008, -0/+4I give congrats to Spain for winning but without a doubt the heroes for me in that tournament was Turkey. They should be all over this with the amount of brilliant goals they scored.
