- TommyGuns, on 06/30/2008, -3/+14Good Set, Good find mate!
- Manny70, on 06/30/2008, -1/+5Thanks, mate. Appreciate the help.
- kickoff22, on 06/30/2008, -3/+27Nice find. The Spanish win is a victory for football. Great team, can't wait for the world cup!
- Manny70, on 06/30/2008, -0/+4Thanks, kickoff22. Yep, lots of exciting things could happen on the road to South Africa.
- SugarCoatedSalt, on 06/30/2008, -0/+4god I love the world cup, seriosly cannot wait for it!
- TucanSam836354, on 07/01/2008, -0/+0Me to! There are going to be a lot better teams there this time around.
- ressiver, on 06/30/2008, -12/+7Spain is the best !!! Ole ole ole!
- MisterEX, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3Man, I love watching Spanish football! They're like surgeons with their passes, so precise!
- TamsinB, on 06/30/2008, -9/+5Hi Manny great photos - the bbc news usually does quite a good job so thanks for sharing. Saw your reference to digging the story on FB so wanted to give you the thumbs up too.
All the best Tam- Manny70, on 06/30/2008, -2/+1Hello, Tam. Thanks for the support. I'm beginning to really appreciate the power of FB. Things have been happening fast in the few days I've ramped up my presence there. Keep in touch, just shout, Tam, if there's anything I can help you with.
- hiteshsharma, on 06/30/2008, -8/+10Viva España..!!
- Arcesius, on 06/30/2008, -4/+5Torres outworked that d-man and the keep on that goal... he deserved it going in...
- indubitably, on 06/30/2008, -1/+2truth. torres would not be denied . he was a man on a mission. COME ON LIVERPOOL!!
- diecastbeatdown, on 06/30/2008, -0/+4torres deserved the goal, it's true.. he was working his arse off up until then and was being denied constantly.
no liverpool fan here though. ;P
- shadowfoxmi, on 06/30/2008, -17/+12time for the americans to go .. "I read this in 'Who gives a *****?' magazine "
- aaeyers, on 06/30/2008, -4/+21Time for everyone else in the world to make ridiculous stereotypes about Americans.
I'm American, and I loved every minute of every game. - Zempz, on 06/30/2008, -2/+9lol hey now not all of us are ignorant to football's greatness
- MisterEX, on 06/30/2008, -2/+14I'm American and watched every damn game I could (thank God for DVR). I love watching football. We're not all oblivious to the most popular sport on earth.
- moush, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1It's called soccer.
- cesclaveria, on 06/30/2008, -2/+6I'm glad to see some fans from the US, this kind of stories usually turn into a flame war (and this post was just flamebait) thank you for showing we all can get along.
- kidathinnes, on 06/30/2008, -2/+5I am also American and a avid soccer (football) fan. To aaeyers defense, it does seem like every soccer article is accompanied by some idiot saying "oh, soccer" (see below). There are many Americans who share the same passion for the sport as the rest of the world. Please frown on the individual and not the country as a whole.
- mass922, on 06/30/2008, -2/+2Same here, I am an American who lives in Texas, where American Football reigns supreme, and there are still an overwhelming number of avid soccer fans in the area.
Add that to the fact that my city hosts one of the biggest youth tournaments in the world (Dallas Cup, have you heard of it?) And that we have a constant support for our league's teams, and our national team, and you'll find that soccer is actually not that hated in the United States... that is just the broad generalization. - diecastbeatdown, on 06/30/2008, -2/+5i'm american... Arsenal supporter and have been watching football since '98.
watched every game in the euro cup this year including the qualifiers. croatia was my darkhorse, but without eduardo they were never going to make it. what a great surprise to see spain holding the cup though, well deserved. - gambl0r, on 06/30/2008, -2/+1Another American here who loved the game. I was pleasantly surprised it was shown on normal non-cable tv!
- aaeyers, on 06/30/2008, -4/+21Time for everyone else in the world to make ridiculous stereotypes about Americans.
- shampoozleberry, on 06/30/2008, -9/+4EL NINOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
- shampoozleberry, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1dont hate just because torres tourched germany worse than the bombing of berlin. he made lahm and lehman look like they play for the chicago fire.
- joewashere, on 06/30/2008, -6/+7After 44 years...finally!
viva espana! - Solsies, on 06/30/2008, -2/+22Rough year for Ballack, 2nd place in everything.
- B19B3N, on 07/01/2008, -0/+0It is just the tenth time he's 2nd place...
- Trots, on 06/30/2008, -5/+4I said Spain would win from the start. For World Cup, I must remember to put money on it...
And yeah arcesius, Torres is incredibly hardworking. Paid off.- noahhoward, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1I'm obligated to root for England but when the inevitable happens I'll be behind Spain 100%
- zacharytelschow, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1Hopefully it won't be at the hand of Croatia, pre-tournament :P
- noahhoward, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1I'm obligated to root for England but when the inevitable happens I'll be behind Spain 100%
- derble, on 06/30/2008, -1/+33Now Only 710 days until the World Cup.
- kidathinnes, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3I cannot wait.
- alainedouard, on 06/30/2008, -1/+1Me too! ;)
- Po0py, on 06/30/2008, -6/+12After the Italians winning the world cup it's good to see an honest team take a trophy home for once.
Btw. Micheal Ballack is the slyest mofo in the game. He's a great player but he doesn't need to do half of the dirty ***** he does. - henrikakselsen, on 06/30/2008, -2/+3More and bigger pictures: http://www.dagbladet.no/sport/2008/06/19/538654.ht ...
- poidh, on 06/30/2008, -9/+3Although this was a good tournament, it missed the vital ingredient for true meaningfulness - England.
We'll be back in 2010, and promptly get knocked out in the first stage probably.- alanr19, on 06/30/2008, -4/+2Yeah right. You weren't good enough to even be there. Your pathetic style of play would have stunk up the place, and lowered the general standard, not to mention the usual trouble from england fans who want to fight because they can't score with women (paying prostitutes for sex doesn't count as scoring guys). It was a good tournament, in part, because of the absence of england.
face it old chap, you're ***** and no one likes you.- kidathinnes, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2wow someone is apparently not an England fan.
- poidh, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1He's jealous because whilst we were inventing stuff his family were still chucking spears at each other. lol.
- alanr19, on 06/30/2008, -4/+2Yeah right. You weren't good enough to even be there. - Elias1, on 06/30/2008, -2/+14Dug for using javascript instead of reloading the page for every. single. PHOTO!
- bongbishop, on 06/30/2008, -2/+3Nice pics. Spain are worthy champions!
Great to see them lose the 'underachievers' stigma as well. Taking down both the Germans and Italians in the same tournament is no small feat for any country. - jabberwolf, on 06/30/2008, -7/+42 words "JOGO BONITO" !
If you don't know what that means, google it!- sillykalcifer, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2i think you should google it...its "joga"
- anonymous1986, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3Attempt at a witty comment was FAIL
- Latigoliath, on 06/30/2008, -2/+0That's brazilian.
- Daniel591992, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2It's not Brazilian, it's Portuguese.
- mattbeetee, on 06/30/2008, -1/+1If you're trying to make it Spanish (which I don't think you're doing) then it is 'el juego bonito'. If you were trying to make it Portuguese, then you also failed. 'Joga'.
- Niubai, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3Well, in fact, in portuguese can be both. "Jogo bonito" means "beautiful game". "Joga bonito" means "play beautiful".
- Niubai, on 06/30/2008, -4/+2Yess, now Spain can get their asses kicked by Brasil in the Confederations Cup ... or not.
- henrikakselsen, on 06/30/2008, -2/+2More and bigger pictures: http://www.dagbladet.no/sport/2008/06/19/538654.ht ...
- NCocca, on 06/30/2008, -3/+1Niubai, I think you mean Argentina.
- Niubai, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1Nope, Argentina will not play the 2009 Confederations Cup. Brasil won the Copa America 2007 (the South America equivalent to the Eurocup), so, it will represent Comenbol at the tourney.
- JakeyG14, on 06/30/2008, -1/+3Pic 14 is really unflattering to Senna who had an amazing tournament lol.
- Oranjy, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2Unflattering.
I though it shows off his agility.
I agree he plays a brilliant game and really deserved a goal this time, he as been unlucky quite a few times.- JakeyG14, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1It shows off his effort, but seeing the ball a good few yards away from his outstretched foot doesn't scream quality (which this guy has in abundance).
I'll digg ya anyway for agreeing he's class (as with all of the Spaniards this year).
- JakeyG14, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1It shows off his effort, but seeing the ball a good few yards away from his outstretched foot doesn't scream quality (which this guy has in abundance).
- Oranjy, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2Unflattering.
- Daniel591992, on 06/30/2008, -5/+1Fuerza Espana!

http://digg.com/world_news/Why_Spain_Wins_Euro_200 ... - phunkytech, on 06/30/2008, -4/+4¡Que viva España!
- mass922, on 06/30/2008, -2/+9Was a sad time to be German. :(
We'll get the WC. - Oranjy, on 06/30/2008, -3/+4Last night was an amazing fiesta here in Spain. The entire town was out in red and dancing and singing long into the night.
- indubitably, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2i'm curious to know what the reaction was like in areas such as barcelona. i'm not that well versed on all the tension that exists within the country. any insight?
- Fiestardi, on 06/30/2008, -6/+1If Greece, Denmark and Spain can win the EuroCup, that means it's a lot easier than the World Cup.
- retro7, on 06/30/2008, -2/+3That's for sure. But i'm pretty sure it's the hardest continental cup.
- Supersonic1980, on 06/30/2008, -2/+3not really because in the Euro Cup you meet better opponents along the way, rather than coming up against smaller nations like saudi arabia.
- Fiestardi, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2There is not a lot of difference between Saudi Arabia and Switzerland or Austria or Estonia.
- Supersonic1980, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1yes i see what youre saying but you are less likely to face strong competition in the world cup until later on in the tournament
- JKWMedia, on 06/30/2008, -1/+4Spain have play very good. Nice pictures thank you!
- enkafan, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1I'm surprised it wasn't a link to the Euro 2008 Girls website:
http://euro2008girls.com/ - ABCActionNews, on 06/30/2008, -4/+2Was disappointed that Italy didn't get past Spain, but at least Germany didn't take the cup...
- rakovlam, on 06/30/2008, -1/+0Where are the photos of English players showing off their new tans?
- justsomeguy987, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1More and larger pictures: http://www.euro2008.uefa.com/photos/index.html
- SebHughes, on 06/30/2008, -1/+5As a die hard Germany fan, I take my hat off to Spain, they played better on the night and deserved to win. If it wasn't for Lehmann being on top form, they would have most likely scored a couple more.
- moomeep, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2very well said, SebHughes. tip o' the hat to the spanish. fully deserved victory. :)
- JorgeGT, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2Last night here in Valencia was a mess... and I've had today the final exam of materials science... guess the results.
***** phase diagrams. - ikcruz89, on 07/01/2008, -2/+0Wow... Spain really impressed me with their skills...and it doesn't hurt that their players are really handsome!! :)
- urbandistrict, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1#12 was a phenomenal save.
- onlinenetwork, on 07/01/2008, -1/+0Spain...my favorite team won!!!
http://water-fuel-kit-saver.blogspot.com - moush, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1Why are there no videos of this game?
