- ebraun, on 02/25/2008, -0/+0These sound pretty cool. But I should point out that as employees of websites that stay afloat via ad revenue the ad blocker add-on is a problem for me. Consumers in effect "pay" for the content by viewing ads. If they are unwilling to even do that small step then I don't care if they look at my content at all. Everyone expects internet content for free, but even that's not good enough. Admittedly, some of our ads are onerous but if that's too much of a strain, you should avoid the website altogether. Ethically, there's no excuse for blocking ads. It's the price of viewing websites, if you aren't willing to pay the price then you are in effect, stealing.
