- sockpuppets, on 06/25/2008, -9/+8You has a favor.
- TheFinestShadow, on 06/25/2008, -6/+7So we want thousands of more bumbling idiots on the internet? How about we educate people and then give them the internet?
- Rickler, on 06/25/2008, -0/+11Internet educates them!

- Rickler, on 06/25/2008, -0/+11Internet educates them!
- ccourt23, on 06/25/2008, -1/+3i am in favor of this idea however this will help google grow revenue so google's motive are suspect in my eyes.
- theaceoffire, on 06/25/2008, -0/+5As long as they give internet access to the whole country, I don't mind them doing it for selfish reasons.
We *desperately* need competition to force Comcast and Verison to freaking offer support to those left out. - Darkaged, on 06/25/2008, -1/+0A business wanting to make money?
*GASP*
- theaceoffire, on 06/25/2008, -0/+5As long as they give internet access to the whole country, I don't mind them doing it for selfish reasons.
- vickers500, on 06/25/2008, -2/+5Pffsh... They should just give it an honest title. Pr0n for everyone.
- perkoff, on 06/25/2008, -4/+0But if we go over 40 GB a month it's a dollar a gig. It's free up until 40. Haha ***** YOU TIME WARNER.
- Tenoq, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1That's pretty cheap. Here's it's $150/GB over your limit.
- nurall, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3i just want to be able to pay for it.
i cant get anything where i live. - dpcamp, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1I'm not. If the idea catches prepare to see another wave of people tHaT tYeP lYeK dIs
- albrad84, on 06/25/2008, -1/+1I'm for it as long as it's not coming out of my tax dollars...
- socialwebtools, on 06/24/2008, -8/+50This really needs to happen ASAP!!! I've been waiting for this!!
- Fangsinmybeard, on 06/24/2008, -20/+11Wow, a corporation that actually acts like a cooperative. Trying to make up for mistaken evils?
- virtualonliner, on 06/25/2008, -1/+13Trying to make up for mistaken evils??
Well, I think it has more to do with advertising dollars. More the internet access, more the dollars. But, whatever their intentions, its good for general population. - trakie, on 06/25/2008, -0/+10hardly, well maybe not. google will benefit from this just as much (maybe more) than everyone else, more people online means more people at google and viewing ads.
i dont think its a bad thing when corporate interests line up with consumer interests, just don't give google too much credit here.- HonoredMule, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1They may not be saviours by motive, but I'm perfectly happy with saviours by effect. Besides which, their entire business model is one based on empowering people and aiding information access. So, it isn't really random chance that they and the general public are on the same side against other traditional corporations. There's a measure of ethically sound intent built into Google's foundation and upbringing which will continue (though not necessarily consistently) to put Google "on the side of right."
- mecharabbit, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2Corporate responsibility? Head exploding in 3....2....1...goodbye cruel world
- uhhNo, on 06/25/2008, -2/+1Not really, corporations do not 'care' about people unless they will turn a profit from doing so. Is it really a surprise that Google wants more people to have the interwebs? I think not. In this case, it is a win-win situation though :)
- perkoff, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1They make money selling ads. If everyone in the world has the internet they make more money.
- virtualonliner, on 06/25/2008, -1/+13Trying to make up for mistaken evils??
- jmkiii, on 06/24/2008, -6/+311How about "Neutral Internet For Everyone."
- ZeDJS, on 06/25/2008, -2/+17i 35th that!
- Lockhart, on 06/25/2008, -4/+27How about "Food & Shelter For Everyone" first.
- sylvok, on 06/25/2008, -0/+14You would take food over Internet access whats wrong with you
/wink - Jenadae, on 06/25/2008, -6/+1***** that id rather be homeless then diggless!
- DeepFriedFetus, on 06/25/2008, -2/+4How about "socialism" first...oh wait, you already said that.
- 9bpm9, on 06/25/2008, -2/+1The government provides food and shelter for homeless people, some choose not to go to them.
- tripledjr, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3My friend lives downtown has an apartment right near a homeless shelter. Trust me most of them would be better off under a bridge.
a) There isn't nearly enough for the amount of homeless people.
b) The majority using the shelters are coked up and start fights almost all the time. So any homeless person that doesn't do drugs and is actually looking for a step up would be done harm by going to this place.
c) The living conditions are still horrible.
d) The Government spends a hell of a lot more killing people in foreign countries then keeping its own people alive and healthy. - Tenoq, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1Come out from under your rock, please.
- tripledjr, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3My friend lives downtown has an apartment right near a homeless shelter. Trust me most of them would be better off under a bridge.
- romistrub, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Yeah, well, the second we can broadcast food wirelessly, I'd be all for that plan. Until then, Internet for Everyone first.
- scimitar91, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1no that's a stupid idea
- sylvok, on 06/25/2008, -0/+14You would take food over Internet access whats wrong with you
- sylvok, on 06/25/2008, -0/+5Yay we might end up coming out ahead of Estonia
- theaceoffire, on 06/25/2008, -1/+5Google is for that as well, since they will be hurt if ISP's start restricting access to youtube and their searches.
- rivalius13, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1They are for it, but not for those reasons. Well, not entirely for those reasons.
- fr3ddie, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2How about "Free WiFi for everyone."
- ligyron, on 06/25/2008, -3/+5How about "Free Money For Everyone," then we can do whatever we want with it.
- scimitar91, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1If its not net neutral, it's not the internet.
Socialized internet is only okay if it is 100% unrestricted, which I'm afraid it won't be.
- doshindude, on 06/25/2008, -10/+48We need to fight off net neutrality first, or this campaign could easily fall into the wrong hands and become a "Restricted Internet for Everyone" thing.
- 0Xonox0, on 06/25/2008, -7/+10I think you need to rephrase that.
- onetimer, on 06/25/2008, -3/+18Restricted? you mean restricted like this:
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1214/1418564994_4b5 ...- uhhNo, on 06/25/2008, -7/+3That will never happen... it would result in a civil war...
- Andy460, on 06/25/2008, -1/+6 The radio and television was the same as the Internet - then FCC regulations took place.
Of course, there's the issue that the Internet is global - but we're talking more about ISPs than global connections between computers and devices.
- Andy460, on 06/25/2008, -1/+6 The radio and television was the same as the Internet - then FCC regulations took place.
- twiztidsinz, on 06/25/2008, -1/+1uhhNo.... uhh yes!
That is exactly where we are headed with net neutrality being torn apart. - scimitar91, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1That's going to give me nightmares for weeks.
- uhhNo, on 06/25/2008, -7/+3That will never happen... it would result in a civil war...
- twiztidsinz, on 06/25/2008, -3/+20we need to fight FOR net neutrality first..
If the internet loses it's neutrality then it becomes restricted.- theaceoffire, on 06/25/2008, -2/+1Can't we fight for both?
There is a lot of us.
- theaceoffire, on 06/25/2008, -2/+1Can't we fight for both?

- daishin, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2Where's the rest of it? My connections used to take 2-3 minutes and sometimes took more retrys that I would like to admit. Of course the internet was free from MetConnect in most of the nyc area and I mean like it wasn't Netzero free it was completely profitless unless it helped get the word out about their other stuff, I wonder if those guys are still around. Ohh also after connecting I could get knocked off at any time because i wasn't allowed to disable call waiting. Now 200KB/sec is slow and i get pissed if my transfer drops below 100KB/s. Did I appreciate the internet more when I had less of it? Hell yeah.
- tomwhughes, on 06/25/2008, -0/+16Ahh I miss that sound...
- mediaspree, on 06/25/2008, -1/+1People still have landlines?

- S7aind, on 06/25/2008, -17/+10For me, there's more important priorities then getting every American free internet. It's not that expensive to get decent broadband.
- Altanar, on 06/25/2008, -2/+16But it is impossible to get any broadband in many parts of the US.
- synaesthesia, on 06/25/2008, -1/+7Spoken like someone with disposable income (S7ain, that is).
- Tribis, on 06/25/2008, -0/+5Had you read the article you would have noticed this is about improving the quality and speed of Internet access in the United States. So that our speeds are more inline with Europe and Asia's.
- perkoff, on 06/25/2008, -2/+1So you want google to take over the governement or something? There are more important things, but google is a company trying to make money by selling ads.
- chokeaduck, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3Yes but when's the last time you were bothered by an AdSense or another Google Ad? That's right... never.
- Altanar, on 06/25/2008, -2/+16But it is impossible to get any broadband in many parts of the US.
- Premier, on 06/25/2008, -5/+10It's nice to see someone is fighting for us
- AutoTom, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1horay for fighting
- jkahrs595, on 06/25/2008, -12/+3free interwebs would lead to an excess of pron.
- svtspeed, on 06/25/2008, -1/+22there's something wrong with that?
- OffPiste, on 06/25/2008, -14/+4Wifi is free to most Americans now. Hell in my neighborhood I have the choice of 8-9 free Wifi connections.
- DMDekoth, on 06/25/2008, -0/+7And you can go to jail for using them without permission.
- OffPiste, on 06/25/2008, -4/+2Catch me if you can.
- DMDekoth, on 06/25/2008, -0/+7And you can go to jail for using them without permission.
- mkling176, on 06/25/2008, -8/+127more internet=more google searches=more ad clicks=more revenue
- 0Xonox0, on 06/25/2008, -3/+89Everybody wins.
- wontstoptalking, on 06/25/2008, -2/+14I was going to argue your point, but there is no counter I can think of. Very well.
- dkapuchino, on 06/25/2008, -5/+1Typical diggary. First decide you are going to argue, they think of what you can argue with.
More time on the internet clicking ads = less time spent on doing things that are productive.
More clicking on ads on the internet = less time watching ads on tv, less time listening to ads on the radio, less time seeing ads on billboards
This means more money for Google, less money for others.
TV loses. Radio loses. - KingBabi, on 06/25/2008, -0/+11How is that a bad thing? TV sucks and Radio isn't much better. They'll have to fight for my time, and that results in better programming.
- romistrub, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2I can think of one. It involves a lot of stereotyping, though.
Who can't afford the internet? POOR PEOPLE. Additionally, poor people are notoriously less educated than not-poor people. Therefore, the internet will become flooded with even more stupid people than before. Legions more. Youtube will become all but unusable!
- dkapuchino, on 06/25/2008, -5/+1Typical diggary. First decide you are going to argue, they think of what you can argue with.
- shamess, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2Exactly. There's nothing wrong with a business making more money. Lots of money != evil.
- dkapuchino, on 06/25/2008, -3/+2You do realize you're on socialist Digg, right?
- scimitar91, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1except the guy who doesn't want internet.
...hey it could happen.
- wontstoptalking, on 06/25/2008, -2/+14I was going to argue your point, but there is no counter I can think of. Very well.
- BJLStorm, on 06/25/2008, -12/+2Lemme fix that for you:
Google wins.
There that's better. - AutoTom, on 06/25/2008, -8/+3and presumably more pointless/stupid comments like yours
- Abrinson85, on 06/25/2008, -2/+0Ahh yes, so does online business.........
- thirdeyeopen, on 06/25/2008, -2/+2Totally, I am sooo SICK of theses BIG BUSINESSES doing all this STUFF just to MAKE MONEY, gawd, stupid CORPORATIONS, they are all so ... corporationy.
Google should be trying to lose money, then we can say YAY GOOD FOR YOU! As they fade away into nothingness, we sure do love martyrs dont we.- scimitar91, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1Exactly. I only patronize corporations with extremely low or negative profits, and I only buy stocks from nearly bankrupt corporations.
- 0Xonox0, on 06/25/2008, -3/+89Everybody wins.
- soapyeyejoe, on 06/25/2008, -15/+9Rick Astley's music is so catchy.

You may pass.- Atomic1fire, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1CK ASTLEY NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP VIDEO
- LeviTheSmith, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1A video of singer Rick Astely singing his smash hit "Never Gonna Give You Up" released in 1987.
- wontstoptalking, on 06/25/2008, -2/+5CAUTION: IT'S A RI- oh, wait.
- wontstoptalking, on 06/25/2008, -13/+7I like the internet, and I like improvements, but I think changing the way people pay for or get service for the internet, even in a positive situation, will not have a good outcome. I like the internet just the way it is.
- ileftfark, on 06/25/2008, -4/+16Interstitials for all!
Seriously, though, the Internet is almost a necessity for citizens, as for many of us, it is the prime source of news, public announcements, and fetish porn.- BJLStorm, on 06/25/2008, -1/+42girls1cup?
- aussiessuck, on 06/25/2008, -1/+0This will totally do the stick mag's outa business, when every man and his dog has full speed access to anything he can imagine...
(and everything he can't imagine till he's seen it)
- Hecubus452, on 06/25/2008, -12/+4In the meantime, I'm going to start the "AIDS for Everyone" campaign.
My goal is to personally give AIDS to all the underprivileged kids out there.- lagannt, on 06/25/2008, -1/+4Rape is illegal you know...

- nastronomical, on 06/25/2008, -17/+10Utopian ignorance: Yeahhhh broadband for all
Reality: So who is gonna pay for it?
Utopian ignorance: Well tax payers
Reality: Ok so explain why every Free Wifi/Broadband has failed.
Utopian ignorance: But its free and bigger and tax payers will pay for it.
Reality: okkkkk- krnldmp, on 06/25/2008, -2/+2Whatever, Spinky. It ain't worth half what you're paying for it already.
- Tribis, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3Had you read the article you would have noticed this is about improving the quality and speed of Internet access in the United States. So that our speeds are more inline with Europe and Asia's.
- Games4Life, on 06/25/2008, -5/+80I'm so glad that for once we have a big company, ON OUR SIDE.
Keep doing what you're doing Google.- timusca, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2Nice comment hijack there buddy...
- zyl0x, on 06/25/2008, -0/+4Not so much on our side, as "happens to share our interests for now".
- johnnyboy239, on 06/25/2008, -1/+1Realistically their on their own side more internet=more google=more profit, but still nice.
- Latigoliath, on 06/25/2008, -11/+2How come i'm always at the bottom of the page? How fast are these comments written? ***** geeks.
- bilbus, on 06/25/2008, -20/+55ummm pay for it like any other service you use.
Whats next "power for everyone" "sewer for everyone"
god damn socialists ....- logandurand, on 06/25/2008, -3/+14What worries me is that if a data transmission service falls under government control, then it will be all to easy for them to start manipulating/intercepting the traffic. It may start out as neutral internet for all, but then the government might start to, say, block peer-to-peer traffic, pornography, or "terrorist material", or anything else they feel like. It's a slippery slope indeed.
- synaesthesia, on 06/25/2008, -0/+13Yes, because this hasn't been going on for several years.
- skyshock1, on 06/25/2008, -0/+5How is this any different from how corporate ISP's already function??
- logandurand, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Well, the difference is that one is determined by a contract between consenting parties, and the other is forced with the police power of the government.
- sylvok, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3They already are, but they are not blocking, they are collecting data
- Tribis, on 06/25/2008, -2/+9Had you read the article you would have noticed this is about improving the quality and speed of Internet access in the United States. So that our speeds are more inline with Europe and Asia's.
- PandarenLord, on 06/25/2008, -4/+10Brilliantly played sarcasm.
- perkoff, on 06/25/2008, -3/+5Yeah because everytime I flush the toilet an ad pops out of the toilet. Same thing with when I plug something into an electrical outlet. ***** ad pops out of the outlet.
- ChrisTek, on 06/25/2008, -1/+5Congrats on making that amazing analogy.
- JimmyMill, on 06/25/2008, -0/+4How about "radio for everyone"?
- tehxen3, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3Check his other comments, he wasn't trying to be sarcastic.
Why do Digg leftards have to presume everyone not in line with their groupthink is trying to be sarcastic?- johnnyboy239, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2I guess because the comment didn't seem to make sense in a nonsarcastic manner. We already to have sewers for everyone. I suppose you pay for power but nevertheless.
A group of people who agree on a basic principle such as common sense is not groupthink, That's like saying all those damn leftists who believe in gravity are practicing groupthink.
- johnnyboy239, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2I guess because the comment didn't seem to make sense in a nonsarcastic manner. We already to have sewers for everyone. I suppose you pay for power but nevertheless.
- dymaxium, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1Sewer for everyone actually sounds like a rather good idea.
- logandurand, on 06/25/2008, -3/+14What worries me is that if a data transmission service falls under government control, then it will be all to easy for them to start manipulating/intercepting the traffic. This could create a two-tier Internet in which websites with the best relationships with network providers can get the fastest access to consumers, while all competing websites remain in a slower lane. Such a result would threaten innovation, the open tradition and architecture of the Internet, and competition among content and backbone providers. It would also threaten the equality of speech through which the Internet has begun to transform American political and cultural discourse."

If you want to loan your bandwidth out for free Internet that's great! If you want to provide it, super/even better?
But don't advocate the government steal money from everyone for internet. Especially when some tax payers don't even use Internet.
(since the ends always justify the means as long as it's stuff you like, digg this down).- Atomic1fire, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1and you to expect people to buy their own computers
or make the government fork out more money to subside a alternitive - cyrax04, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2I read it but it's so general that it could be taken as trying to socialize service or trying to spread it. Either way it sounds like they'll be dealing w/the govt which never ends well.
- Atomic1fire, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1and you to expect people to buy their own computers
- NuclearWookie, on 06/25/2008, -9/+5Cable television is a fundamental human right! Even if it costs us money in taxes, we must pay for cable television for all!
- Atomic1fire, on 06/25/2008, -2/+4Over the air television should stay that way...
It provides a public service by bringing news and entertainment to people
if they want more channels they can buy them
Just don't expect other people to foot the bill for your entertainment
should internet access be a public service?
if people are willing to pay tax on it
should it be free
I think thats an economic issue
Does the gains out way the increase in taxes
especially since in order to use the internet
You would still need a computer or other internet enabled device
want the government to pay for a computer for each of the internetless people too....
People can get older tv's that can work on anolog
but giving them older computers might not be a good idea unless the government can pay to teach people linux
- Atomic1fire, on 06/25/2008, -2/+4Over the air television should stay that way...
- CrazyDave303, on 06/25/2008, -3/+3I thought this was going to be about some conservative BS about taking away offensive content, aka safe for every one.
- NeverReturnKid, on 06/25/2008, -2/+8What we need first is for the government to buy every household a computer that can't afford one. Then they can work on the internet access for everyone. And then Google can profit even more.
Or people that don't have internet access at home can use the internet at their local public library.- breadfred, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1I think it would be quite easy to supply every family that is too poor to buy a computer with a 2nd hand banger that is still good enough for the internet. Pick 'm up for next to nothing. They could supply those families with a 'base package' internet connection, re narrow bandwidth but sufficient for email and normal browsing purposes. The internet has become too much of a communication channel and information recourse to exclude anyone from using this!
- NeverReturnKid, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1We should buy telephones for everyone too while we're at it.
- breadfred, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1I actually agree that every household should have an emergency phone. For emergencies only.
- NeverReturnKid, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1We should buy telephones for everyone too while we're at it.

- krnldmp, on 06/25/2008, -1/+9Do it Without the government and I'll totally believe in it. Otherwise it probably wont even happen, and if it does that might be worse.
- mattearle, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2Actually, because some Americans have access to only one ISP, the government needs to step in and prevent companies in these regions from taking advantage of their monopoly. There is no other way to limit the greedy TelCos than making laws to protect consumers.
- cambob76, on 06/25/2008, -8/+3Oprah's switching to green tea! Who ***** cares?
- breckinshire, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Dugg for irrelevance.
- Proxyghost, on 06/25/2008, -2/+7Google rocks. Government involvement will definitely be the downfall of it happening though.
- partyonaisle7, on 06/25/2008, -3/+19Hold on. Is this Google lobbying for taxpayer money to subsidize access to Google?
- phazyme, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2Not necessarily. The government can set standards for universal internet access that is provided through private companies. But if government provides the internet, then, yes =)
- sarchosis, on 06/25/2008, -3/+3I think it goes without saying; the internet is an infinitely valuable resource that should not be allowed to be capitalized like ISPs intend to.
- tusseyd, on 06/25/2008, -1/+8Would be nice if Google became an ISP, and that way we'd always have an alternative to bandwidth throttling and non-net-neutral policies. Hell, I'd sign up for Google ISP. And it wouldn't have to be taxpayer financed. "Google ISP. Finally, an Internet for everyone."
..or Microsoft. >_- Atomic1fire, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Google could make its own ISP
but that would involve infrastructure and making sure everyone has a google quality experience (you know that some people will undoubtedly using google isp for one thing and that will probably take up bandwith)- chokeaduck, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Pretty sure Google will run into some real legal trouble monopoly-wise if they become an ISP.
- adidos, on 06/25/2008, -0/+4duhhh...Google has it's own ISP:
http://www.google.com/tisp/- silver26, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2That's a T- ISP haha

I'm so glad that for once we have a big company, ON OUR SIDE.- Rocketbird, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3Thanks for that.
- timusca, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2Hey, at least you gave credit where it was due... can't say the same for Games4Life.
- Rocketbird, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Hah. Good catch.
- striker1211, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2Sweet. A bunch of people new people to win the Nigerian lottery and computers to use as bots.
- LoudMusic, on 06/25/2008, -1/+2They better hurry up because my Comcast special rate runs out in three months and I'm not interested in paying more than $30 / month.
- vdog, on 06/25/2008, -1/+4America != Everyone. While this is a good move, It needs to go a whole lot further- broadband in New Zealand sucks. :(
- chokeaduck, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Have you ever seen Lewis Black's standup routine about going on a flight to New Zealand? Google it. :)
- Balk2K, on 06/25/2008, -1/+1yeah, "Internet for Everyone" ... "broadband access for every American"
love the way some people think
- DavidThaGnome, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3I wonder if the hope behind this idea is that by shoving the oblivious non connected masses onto the internet, there will be a sizable force online who is prone to being complete morons and easily led by sensationalism and MSM lies. That way they can get all sorts of insane internet laws passed, by pitting the somewhat more enlightened and internet savvy masses against a slew of morons newly connected and screaming for regulation safety and "oh gawd wont someone think of the children"
- jack104, on 06/25/2008, -1/+5Sweet....Lets make it a national priority to get everyone internet access. I have a better idea though.....lets spend that money on programs that help humans get the necessities of life like food, water, shelter, etc. I currently have cable, crappy little 512 meg up connection, but I tell you what....I would gladly give that up if it meant knowing where someone's next meal was coming from, or where they would be sleeping that night. We all got our priorities in the wrong place people
- breadfred, on 06/25/2008, -2/+1How would you know where to get the best local bargains, educate yourself in about any subject, look for jobs in your area, and communicate at low costs with anyone in the world? The internet is not a really a luxury - it is becoming more and more the hub of your life, whether you want it or not.
- jack104, on 06/26/2008, -1/+0This is true. Very true. I just figured if they can't afford a computer, or fit one in their card board box, the internet won't do them much good. Food might.
- internetass, on 06/25/2008, -2/+1***** off, shut up, and sit down.
- jack104, on 06/26/2008, -1/+0Thanks for that educated, well thought and verbalized response. Heres a thought. Why don't you sit down, shut the ***** up, and think of someone else but your own arrogant ass, prick.
- internetass, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Oh i do, but you're trying to hijack the point of a very important issue with CURE AIDS! FEED THE HUNGRY! of course everyone is working on that, but we also need to be aware of issues around us.
- jack104, on 06/26/2008, -1/+0Thanks for that educated, well thought and verbalized response. Heres a thought. Why don't you sit down, shut the ***** up, and think of someone else but your own arrogant ass, prick.
- userperson, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1... or we could give people their money back and let them decide.

- tsotha, on 06/25/2008, -4/+3The last thing poor people in the US need is free internet. They should be out looking for a job instead of staying home and watching porn.
- w3ber, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2can search for job over internet you know...
- RAGEdemon, on 06/25/2008, -8/+6*Sigh* just what we need... more ignorant rednecks online.
Lets face it. Broadband is freely available in most urban areas. The places where it is hard to get is rural areas... you know, places with a higher redneck concentration.
Do we really want more ignorant, racist, "nuke " chanting, rednecks on here.
Would the Obama campaign on the Internet have picked up such great momentum if more of these idiots were
online spreading poison against him?
I mean... it's thanks to them and their jesusland that we have had bush in power for the last 8 years :/- tito13kfm, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2Freely available in most urban areas? Have you ever been to cleveland? I can't find a hotspot that doesn't require purchase to save my life.
- BJLStorm, on 06/25/2008, -3/+1Starbucks?
- LordofChaosIori, on 06/25/2008, -0/+2Isn't free.
- BJLStorm, on 06/25/2008, -3/+1Starbucks?
- GRTWHT, on 06/25/2008, -1/+4That has to be the most bigotted comment I've read on digg in a long time.
- Rocketbird, on 06/25/2008, -1/+3I agree. The hypocrisy astounds me. In calling them all ignorant, he is being ignorant himself, assuming that they are all "ignorant, racist, 'nuke' chanting rednecks."
- Brainmuck, on 06/25/2008, -2/+0Wouldn't having access to the internet drastically reduce the "ignorance" of these "rednecks"
- hotcoffeeburns, on 06/25/2008, -1/+3You, sir, are a douche bag.
- Altanar, on 06/28/2008, -1/+2Or maybe we should block ignorant ***** like you?

- Barackalypse, on 06/25/2008, -7/+3The Internet has been going down hill ever since AOL opened the flood gates of semi-literate mouth breathers with opinions. If anything we need less people on the Internet.
- Altanar, on 06/28/2008, -0/+2Or less elitist douche bags who think that they know everything..
- splinter09, on 06/25/2008, -2/+2Yeah Free internet
- univerio, on 06/25/2008, -0/+4Sigh, Canada will always be US's little bro.
- timusca, on 06/25/2008, -1/+5You're our hat.
- Shawkab, on 06/25/2008, -0/+3Lol, google is obviously going to support this.. +clicks ftw.
- jo21, on 06/25/2008, -1/+1well i am paying 50$ for 2mbps and 15gb cap 512k after that, huge still
and it turns out its promotion (that never told me about or either about the 15gb cap even i asked if there was a restriction good thing they are not applying to me yet), if i change provider i will be paying 69$ for the same except not capped 120$ after the second year.
