Awesome Interview With Kevin Rose

davidmetz.net — This is a dupe but the original story didn't make it to the front page and really really really should because this interview is something all diggers should listen to. It contains amazing inside information about how Kevin Rose came up with the idea for Digg. Apologies for the blog link, but digg wouldn't allow me to link to the original.

  • da5idblacksun, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5I can't believe someone just marked this a dupe. Yes it's a dupe but that's because the original didn't make to the front page in the first 24 hours and I heard that after that it can't. Is this true?

    Anyway, I'm trying to help the guy who did this interview and didn't get a front page when he really does deserve it.

  • da5idblacksun, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The deal here is that it appears a story will never make it to the front page if it doesn't in the first 24 hours which is the case with the original submission of this story. Normally I'd accept the "wisdom" of the diggers and let it go but in this case, I feel strongly that this story should make it to the front page. The interview is awesome! Kevin reveals all kinds of inside details about the digg company. I found it completely fascinating. I figured why not give it a second try. Perhaps the title or the timing of the first submission doomed it.

    I'm not going to mark this as spam because there is no advertising on the blog, so kudos to the submitter for that.

    I am tempted to mark it as a dup, as there is a reason this never hit the front page to begin with....its boring as hell. Keven sounds like he is either hung over or just doesn't really want to do this, and its all the same info we all already know....but since I feel the digg system for duplicates is flawed anyway, I'll just not mark it.

    • RonaldLewis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I've just learned that an attack was launched on this interview, forcing my host provider to temporarily remove it. This is senseless, and I'm not sure why anyone would go to such lengths to do this. Apparently, someone out there has malicious intent.
