- wizo, on 11/10/2007, -0/+18I jumped ahead of myself in the description… Still no skins, but the macros are definitely back.
- Charlotte_Web, on 11/10/2007, -0/+1Seems to be missing a lot of things... :-(
- joedonahue, on 11/09/2007, -0/+1I just discovered this extension, and I love it! I can't wait for the calendar integration to be added...
- victorycig, on 11/09/2007, -0/+1Excellent, I've been waiting for this update!
- KenSPT, on 11/11/2007, -4/+6Be sure not to get it wet or feed it after midnight ... bad things happen ...
- uptown, on 11/10/2007, -5/+2I'd be happy if the new GMail didn't freeze when searching or sending emails from Firefox. I had to go back to the old version of GMail, but I'm dreadinng the day they remove the "Old Version" link and force me into the new one 'cause right now it's just not ready for prime time as far as I'm concerned.
- alexdemers, on 11/09/2007, -1/+2Ya, my firefox crashes after I go outside of gmail to a new URL. Always =(
- joedonahue, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2You can manually go to the old Gmail by URL, I imagine that this will remain active even if they phase out the link in the upper right.
http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=1 - SPThom, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2And... maybe they won't force the new version until it *IS* ready for primetime? ;)
- mizunoX, on 11/09/2007, -0/+1Was everyone's account updated to the new version? Because it looks the same to me and I don't see a New Gmail link.
- uptown, on 11/10/2007, -0/+6They tend to phase their GMail updates in, so chances are you just haven't gotten it yet.
- TheVirus, on 11/10/2007, -10/+1I clicked on the 'Newer Version' at the top in GMail and it looks the same. I hope this new version is like Yahoo's webmail. I really like their new interface, quite fast considering how they ruined their TV listings.
- joedonahue, on 11/10/2007, -0/+5Yeah, the interface is pretty much the same, with the major exception being the Contact Manager. They completely redid this. The bulk of the updates are underneath the hood to make the site run fast and lean.
- TheVirus, on 11/09/2007, -0/+1Oh, weak. Their interface is fine, but it could be better.

- aliguana, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2...but do you see an "Older version" link? if you do, that means you're running the new version. If not, try logging out and back in again.
- chronichyjinx, on 11/10/2007, -2/+1Does not work with Firefox 3.0b1
- Edam, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4This is a stripped down version of it until the scripters update the other features that were in the original. I'm staying with the old GMail until all of the scripts are updated. I don't know what there is to "love" compared to the original, but some people like anything that is new I guess..
- Walkboss, on 11/09/2007, -2/+1My "Better Gmail" extension was updated this morning. Do I really need this "Better Gmail 2"?
- aliguana, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2you do if you're using the new version of Gmail, because the old one won't work properly with it.
- Walkboss, on 11/10/2007, -0/+1Ok, I figured it may have updated to be compatible which would have made more sense than making an entirely new extension...
- aliguana, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2yeah, but Gina said if she updated the first one to be compatible with new Gmail, it might break on the old Gmail. So she's running two extensions, one for old Gmail users and one for new Gmail users. God help her if Google update it again soon, she'll end up maintaining 3 of them eek
- Atomic1fire, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1at least they made a greasemonkey api
perhaps google might help with stuff like this too

- toastgodsupreme, on 11/10/2007, -2/+4I like! I never used Better Gmail, so this is quite nice. The ability to email from links with my gmail account alone is worth it.
I also have the gmail notifier which is a great little tool that sits in the status bar and checks for new mail.- Scatropolis, on 11/10/2007, -1/+2Second Gmail Notifier - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/173
- ipaiba, on 11/09/2007, -0/+1I haven't been using the "better" version since it appeared to be responsible for crashing my Firefox four times in the first two days. Like updown above, I'm not looking forward to not being able to access the old version. Google: if it's not broken, please don't fix it :)
- wtfjames, on 11/10/2007, -2/+1this version here is much better if you have multiple gmail accounts. http://www.longfocus.com/firefox/gmanager/ if you have the latest firefox, you'll need the version from their forums that they haven't (for some dumb reason) added to the front page: http://www.longfocus.com/firefox/gmanager/releases ...
- wtfjames, on 11/10/2007, -0/+1it works
- Lightspeed2, on 11/12/2007, -8/+2right, because everyone uses firetrash
majority = 93% ie, MS>>>>>>>> mozilla- wtfjames, on 11/12/2007, -1/+0you're a retard. the THREAD is about a firefox extension. i posted a better extension for gmail WITH FIREFOX.
If you want to go prance in your pink fluffy dress using IE, do it in an IE thread, k spunkmonkey? k. frick i hate people that just got internets
- wtfjames, on 11/12/2007, -1/+0you're a retard. the THREAD is about a firefox extension. i posted a better extension for gmail WITH FIREFOX.
- jwvelez, on 11/10/2007, -0/+1I'm saddened that this version of Better Gmail doesn't add the "semen" feature to GMail. :(
- goodfe1la, on 11/10/2007, -2/+0thx,i like it
- bariswheel, on 11/10/2007, -2/+2I tend to stay away from any extension I don't absolutely need, at the risk of exacerbating the ridiculous memory leaks of this browser. I'll give this a try, but I'm pessimistic.
- Beylan, on 11/11/2007, -0/+1I just wish they'd code some of these cool gmail extensions to work with my Google Apps account.
- DogNo7, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1Yeah, it's nice... but...
I don't use the web interface to gmail. With Thunderbird able to connect to my google mailboxes, why bother using a web browser for something that belongs in a mail client?
-DogNo7- Atomic1fire, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1that all depends on your view
if you would rather not have to install a mail program and want something that would be on the go
webmail is a good thing
if you want your email to be localized then stick with a mail program - robcolburn, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0Half the benefit of gmail is the interface - search, and conversations.
But, really they need to fix firefox leaks. it seems more ajax-y which I think is where the memory leads occur. Stupid ajax.

- ramartins, on 01/20/2008, -0/+0It's very nice and useful extension for Gmail.
