- WiZZLa, on 10/12/2007, -4/+55How much is www.dnscoop.com worth? Nothing, as with only 70 diggs, I'm already getting "Error 500 - Internal server error - An internal server error has occured! - Please try again later."
Fun site, but inaccurate as some multi-million/billion dollar companies that don't have a great web presence rank very low. - Pepper, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3@djm: It's because of all the users looking for the latest security updates ;)
- beelz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+36The estimated value of http://www.porn.com is: $3,301,900
The Internet is for porn. - RoboPimp3000, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11@ WiZZLa
It's the estimated value of the domain, not the business. Microsoft is worth way more than $1.6 billion. The value is based it on the number of pageviews. Of course, this doesn't work for big companies because they sell their own adspace -- Microsoft isn't going to be putting Adsense links on their homepage. - MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Yahoo is worth more than Micrsosoft. Not surprising.
- ForrestGump, on 10/12/2007, -14/+4i find it ironic how youtube is worth more than digg and yet... if it wasnt for the digg effect, youtube would be nothing.
- blapierre, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3Clearly this site is wrong since YouTube was just bought out for $1.65 billion a few months ago. Unless they are claiming that YouTube has dropped $700 million in value since Google acquired them.
- elk1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10this doesn't tell the value of the company, just the website. companies, even web based companies have a lot more value to them than just their websites; IP, employees...
- CodyZ, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1It says google.com is worth almost 2 million bucks...wonder how they bought youtube for 1.6 billion then?
- cypher35, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11@blapierre:
That would be the value of "YouTube.com". Just the domain name, not the website. - Anrkist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16$65 - Time for me to cash in.

Haha, what a retarded thing to say. Youtube was HUGE way before digg started pushing a fair amount of traffic its way. Now if you said youtube would be nothing without myspace, you might have been onto something. - TheWorm, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Dear Kevin,
I know you don't want Digg to get corporate. But it's time to work out a deal to sell. Remember what happened to Friendster? I'll bet that guy wished he would have taken advantage when his site was hot. - Alegis, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3My site's value level is over $9000

- Stunn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I could get $40 a month selling links on my site.
That is stupid because my website has nothing but two pictures I've only shown about 5 of my friends. How does this site come up with these numbers? If I can get $40 for having two pictures on my website while having ZERO traffic, then tell me where to sign up.
Lame.- Pepper, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2www.text-link-ads.com, it even says so!
- broomett, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The fact that Digg is coming up at over $100 million shows that it is GREATLY overestimating values. Probably by over 5000%
- bajones, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3>>"The fact that Digg is coming up at over $100 million shows that it is GREATLY overestimating values. Probably by over 5000%"
broomett, If anything, I'd say that the $100 Million price is actually underestimating Digg.com's value. This could be based alone on the number of users this site has, the amount of traffic it gets, the amount of traffic it sends out, and the sheer media power of the site.
This tool only derives a value based on the popularity of the word Digg (which didn't even exist before) and popularity of the word Digg.com (in major search indexes), the number of links pointing to Digg (do you know how much people pay for just one link?), the age of the domain, and yes the tool uses alexa, but unless the the alexa rank is around 1000 or higher, it only contributes a small amount to the total score.
What are you basing your estimate on?

- whitehornmatt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Mine is worth $1.2 Million, despite being a blogger blog using a subdomain, blogspot.com itself is $406,200,000, an old .tk 'domain' was valued at $110, despite having more links to it and actually having a pagerank. I call shenanigans.

Riiight.

What's with all the complaints about internal server errors? This is digg. Be happy that the site is even up ffs! Newbs. - FunFactor100, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0My website has revenues that are 2.5X what they claim it to be worth. They're not factoring in enough variables. I certainly wouldn't sell for less than 1 year profit. (I make my living solely from advertising on my website). Unfortunately I keep getting ridiculous offers for about 1/5th of a years worth of profit.
- jeff419, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Wikiprotest.com wis supposedly worth a little over $5000.
Any takers?? - Pantsuninja, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Estimated Domain Name Value: $16,048.00
I'm not complaining :D - jeff419, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Damn, my oldest site, www.cigarexperience.com came up with $10,304.00 at leapfish and $16,995 at dnsscoop.
Who wants to go in the cigar business? The site has kick ass rankings in Google, and it's #22 for cigars (and moving up) - Jumangi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pointless website. Like anything in the world your website is worth what amount you can get someone to pay.
- tobbe303, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yay, my trusty old geek-news aggregator ( http://www.ichigo.se/ ) is worth $7,590. Show.. me... the... money!
