Is Handbrake getting ripped off?

ask.metafilter.com — One of the administrators of the Mac video conversion app, Handbrake (licensed under the GPL), is asking for advice in the wake of allegations that a for-sale, closed-source app has taken and modified their code in violation of the GPL.

  • jbrjake, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3Thanks for caring, but please understand that right now publicity isn't that helpful. Per the answers in that thread, it seems like the best way to resolve this is to work with gpl-violations.org, not organizing an internet lynch mob.
