Pocket Player 3 for Windows Mobile: UPnP, Video, Podcast Streaming

conduits.com — New software for Pocket PC and Smartphone has been released and introduces video support, smart playlists, and introduces new connection options such as downloadable album art, podcast playback/streaming (with auto-resume) and Windows Media Connect (UPnP) connectivity. The library browser supports thousands of tracks, and has search-as-you-type.

  • vabiro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am blown away by this app. It works great with my HTC Wizard (Qtec 9100, T-Mobile MDA). I was really sceptical about how a private party could improve on the integration in the MS media player, but these guys have taken it to another level. As mentioned, the UPnP support is great, especially when you pair it up with Tversity (www.tversity.com) and MythTV (www.mythtv.org), which transcodes and streams online video and audio to the WM5 device. Very cool.
