- swazooe, on 10/12/2007, -9/+10This is awesome.
- breakneckridge, on 10/12/2007, -20/+7If you like this feature you might want to give Macs a second look. This feature is a copy of a feature that OS X has had for years. Check it out.
http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/expose/ - flyinglikeakite, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2This feature exists in the new beta version of Windows fx by stardock ( a few months ago).
- phaed, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1I spit on OS X.
btw. linux with XGL/Compiz also has this feature. - skyshock21, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1You can already do this using Stardock's Object dock. BFD. You can even make it look like the retarded OSX roller menu too.

- lonnieh, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9I digg, but I would be a bit suspicious. Odd that they would use a proxy registrant to obtain a .com, but I'd say they're just avoiding any software patent issues.
- Cmain, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Very, very cool. Its memory usage is around 5,000 so not horribly bad. I'm liking it and it is such a small installer.
- Teh_Psyren, on 10/12/2007, -46/+6Hi Semen.
- Osjpr, on 10/12/2007, -36/+2tea peas why rene: Do you call your president, George W Pussy, or George W Vagina?
- bigtomrodney, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4Hilarious. The counter let's up watch it being dugg in real time.
- Batiu-Drami, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5Why is 'Downloads' greater than 'Visitors' on the counter?
- freekz_8, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Batiu-Drami,
I'm not quite sure, but maybe some directly linked to the file on another site. But that's just my guess. - plingboot, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5>Why is 'Downloads' greater than 'Visitors' on the counter?
Duh. because more people have downloaded the app than hit the homeapge.

- Technopundit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The first good practical Windows addition I've seen in some time.
- rodrigo74, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I would rate the one that allows you to drag the tasks in the taskbar around even higher than this one
http://www.digg.com/software/Drag_and_drop_your_Windows_taskbar_buttons_ - montanna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4rodrigo,
Try this one instead. I found it a little more unobtrusive.

Just a little more mind you. Thanks to shablinky for the link.
- rodrigo74, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I would rate the one that allows you to drag the tasks in the taskbar around even higher than this one
- olliholliday, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7doesn't work unless it's seen an application maximised, or with java apps, or with apps that are grouped on the taskbar :(
other than that pretty good.- ninjakarl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Noticed that it doesn't work with Java apps (OpenOffice), also doesn't work with Gaim conversation windows.
- adolfojp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5This is great! Now my taskbar matches my opera web browser!
- Lomi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3At this rate my whole desktop will look exactly the same with winxp and vista when it is released... almost makes me wonder if I should even bother upgrading. Oh right, there is all that stuff they aren't releasing for winxp and the eventual lack of support for winxp.
- iLEZ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Sweet, but wake me up when it works with Classic.
- MichaelW2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7no joke
- Chakz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Same, Are there any alternatives that work with the classic theme and are lightweight?
- adolfojp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4If you like elegant and unobtrusive...
You can use something like this: http://www.deviantart.com/view/20901820/
if you patch windows with something like this: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707
and it works with this this app. :-) - plingboot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4agreed. spent 5 minutes scratching my head over that and now uninstalled.
- yensed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I just use the powertoys Alt+Tab.
- Settra, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Yep, pretty powerful program right there.
I use it too, much better than some crappy program, who uses mouse anyway? :p - brownspank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been using TaskSwitchXP, which IMO works better than Alt-Tab Powertoy. Site is down ATM, though.

- Settra, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Yep, pretty powerful program right there.
- jbus, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2This exact feature has been available on Linux (KDE) for sometime as well.
- x3n1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I'm using KDE 3.5.2 but did not know that... can you please tell me how?
- jbus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@ x3n1
Search for "taskbar v2" on kde-apps.org - x3n1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Thanks for the pointer. As a KDE user, this would be great to have built into KDE natively...
- shakeyshakey, on 10/12/2007, -13/+0And a big "Who cares?" go to...
- OmegaNine, on 10/12/2007, -15/+3Why why why? Do we really need our OS to take MORE memory, and MORE CPU cycles? The first thing I do when I install a windows box is 10-20 services and change it back to the old taskbar.
- tehbio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The simple fact that unused memory is wasted memory.
Personally I have 2GB of RAM on my desktop and I am rarely ever using over 1GB. Tools like these just let me use my unused and wasted RAM on things that make things look and feel better.
However, I could easily understand your question in the situation of a lower-end PC, but I do not think the target of these tools are meant for the users of those PCs.
- tehbio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The simple fact that unused memory is wasted memory.
- agarrahan, on 10/12/2007, -8/+0Ice Cold baby
- chrisrowe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Clean crisp, doesnt require restart.
Small footprint, no splash screen
only nag is a small bug when previewing videos
great work - j4s0n, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Agreed, It's sweet.
- ataxiaverge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7The website should definitely note the lack of Classic Theme support.
- noof, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Hm, doesn't work for me even if I switch to luna theme :(
- brownspank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Me, neither, even after I switch off Taskbar Shuffle.
- agarrahan, on 10/12/2007, -16/+1You should definitely note the lack of shut the hell up!
- Settra, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2No, you should.
- allancorbett, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/6045/picture27pa.png - same thing?
- brownspank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nope.
- kingpomba, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0nice , mines only using 3,600k but the first 5 minutes didn't work for msn convos but now it does .. strange
- Never, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1no digg. Old news. been using it for quite some time already.
- GS13, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Pretty damn cool
- shakeyshakey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Very stylish and useful.
+ digg - darkmotion, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3wont work cause im not using the default style..
- chrisrowe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Im not using default style, using one I created but still works fine
- Hurricane, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Unlike most XP "utilities", it works, it is usable AND it doesn't crash or bog. double digg
- weiran, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Pretty well polished app, just needs to be able to show minimised windows and allow users to adjust the delay (I'd probably put it on 0).
- KnightMareInc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2gonna try it out.
- tlink211, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very nice.
Power Toys Alt Tab shows the same black window as Visual Task Tips.
Mozilla Sunbird works, that's a plus. - Ace128, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Gotta love how all those new things in Vista will become obsolete when its finally released! :)
- gypsyjoe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"By using Visual Task Tips you will significantly increase your workflow productivity."
Yeah, right. - eldenno, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Simply put.. awesome. Anything which makes the windows interface look better is a good thing. Watching the digg effect on the sites counter for visitors and downloads is brilliant too lol.
- piesforyou, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1heh. Installed, then remembered I'm using GeoShell. Doh! hehe.
- ThePharaoh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm using bbLean and got the same thing. Looks really cool, but it only works if you're using Explorer.exe as the shell...
- SmeRndmGy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like it. Not a resource hog at all. Does what it says it will do.
- TheProfessional, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I didn't see this already mentioned, but...
"Now on win xp and being tested on vista."
Why would they need this on vista? It is already built in. - tobiasproject, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1doesn't work with my excel window.. everything else so far though
- mrbleu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Works with Excel for me...! Just not with MediaPlayer, VLC or Java apps
- astrotrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Lets make XP look like Vista....wooo hoo....
eh...it happened when folks waned WIN98SE to look like XP...
LOL - alucardx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not really sure how useful this feature (including the similar one in vista and osx) is. is this for people that have a worse memory than i do?
- beggersfunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LOL!
