- deal, on 10/12/2007, -29/+32Isn't this a one time use coupon?
- NextGenXbox, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12No.
- Sairgem, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18Why are so many people digging him down for asking a simple question? (Queue the same for me.)
- VicHislop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It's not a one-time use coupon, but people have reported that some Circuit City stores have refused it as it is not meant to be printed at home. Definitely worth a shot, though, if you have any stores nearby that stock the player.
- hanapbuhay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I used the coupon last week and it worked fine. Your miles may vary, but if you want to save $40, it's worth a short.
- hanapbuhay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Just in case I run out of bandwidth on the box.net account, here are other locations for the coupon. Get your adblocker ready.

http://www.smero.us/CC_3_coupons_Nov.pdf - cliffzdude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Note on the bottom of the coupon there is a long coupon code, you may be able to use the code online.
- teknishn, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6It says in the fine print of the coupon that "reproductions/photocopies will not be accepted".
- an0nymous, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5and yet, from experience..my store accepted it anyway. I told them it had been emailed to me.
- Vankalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just used it a south Chicago CC and the cashier didn't even bat an eyelash, she just typed in the coupon code and it took off $40.
- Daryl209, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Oh good, finally a Circuit City story, I was sick of reading about Best Buy......
By the way, we accept those coupons, but we take them from you after you redeem them so if you want to use it again, you're gonna have to print another. - Anth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Damn I just bought my HD DVD unit yesterday. Oh well. I'm far too lazy to box it up and take it back and say I wasnt happy with it, then rebuy it with the coupon.
- jimmytango829, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you can just bring in the receipt and get a refund. They have a 30-day pricematching thing. Even if it were cheaper at best buy, you can bring in the receipt and they will give you money back.
- mobdragon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Thanks OP, anyone know if product is in stock anywhere near Denver, CO or at a store that will pricematch in same area. Already checked circuitycity site for stock.
- zwilliams, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Even if this is true; its still not enough to get me to shop at CircuitCity ever again. I've given them multiple chances, each time I've had a huge problem. Twice, I was sold USED FLOOR MODELS as "new" and paid full price only. Only to drive all the way back home (45 minute drive), to find out the problem. I call their customer service (asked for manager) and I am refused a refund of money or any form of reparation. I promptly went back the next day and ripped the managers and their employees a new one in front of the entire checkout line.
I even went out of my way to tell one of the older women at one of the Checkouts she was being ripped off by paying for a HD reciever for a SDTV 4:3 LCD TV.
And that was only one of the smaller incidents.- s-m-a-c-k, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2next time, use AMEX...
- theflyer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1wow, it's 40 off anything
- nerdofnerds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Such as a wii...^_^
- nerdofnerds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Such as a wii...^_^
- pepsihabbit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I can confirm that it does work. I just went and bought it when I seen this digg and it worked. at first they tried to tell me they had no players till next week but I argued and got one. the coupon wouldnt scan but they can enter the code on it. Thanks for the digg now im gonna go watch Batman Begins HD. btw it comes with King Kong free.
- uptown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone know what the origin of this coupon is?
- pepsihabbit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it looks like its from the coupon packet you get when you change your address with the post office. they send out a bunch of coupons to get you started at your new home with the businesses in your area
- falloutsyndrome, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2circuit city.
- marcomc2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3AWESOME. thanks internet for giving me fourty dollars.
- tvaccari, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2works just fine. wen't to CC this morning and picked up the last player they had minus $40. nice find.
- mutant, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2This is a fake. I called circuit city to confirm the coupon, and they said they have no such promotion. basically for the folks that pulled this off, you possibly commited a crime.
- basebaII, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4If the number of the coupon matches and gives the discount, then it is legit. Otherwise, I don't think you can rely solely on a Circuit City clerk.
- fastfood15, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2doesnt this make the 360 on par as far as price as the PS3(which ships with blueray)?
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No.
The $500 PS3 is equivalent in config (20GB HD, no Wi-Fi, wireless controller) to the $400 Xbox 360. So to get an equivalent 360 with HD-DVD costs $600, or $100 more. Well, plus $15 for a play n- charge kit and $50 for a WiFi adapter (if you need Wi-Fi).
If you really want to play HD movies, the PS3 is a better deal. If you don't want HD movies, the 360 is cheaper. - fastfood15, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1well the games will determine who sells more. and i think the games coming out for ps3 look ***** awesome, but thats not for certain yet.
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No.
- dasutin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is a great way to get 40 bucks off a Wii when it ships!
- spunkmyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I got mine today and verify that the coupon does work. It wont scan but they have to manually enter it. Make sure you find a nice friendly sales associate and be pleasant.
It took me about 45 minutes with the sales person searching multiple stores for one and finally discovering they had one in their own warehouse. I left the store with a extra $40 bucks in my wallet. - ibeetle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Went to Circuit City at Palisades Mall in Ny this afternoon. Copy of coupon taped to registers with VOID written across, and note from manager; Do Not Take.
Oh well... Knew I should have gone out earlier today.- mutant, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I got dug down for saying it's a fake, glad you didn't.. All these people that are successfully using these coupons are commiting fraud.. Intentionally or not. This is a bogus coupon.
- icekold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2SUCCESS! I got $40 off a new digital camera. I got to the register and when the woman scanned the coupon it wouldn't take. When she keyed it in, a Socom promotion popped up on the screen! I was silently screaming OH *****! Manager comes over hits a couple keys and I was good to go. Thanks OP.
- specv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I went and they wouldnt take it because it was a copy, i just said i received it in a circuit city email and alas i got the xbox 360 hd dvd player for $159.99 thanks digg
- Stopher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Worked for me. I think maybe the manager at the Palisades Mall is just being overzealous. It's a perfectly valid coupon. I told them I got it online and they took it.
- Nerdomatick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just got one in Chicago. Coupon worked fine.
- staticten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks man! Coupon worked fine for me too...........hd-dvd add on for $152
I ordered mine online for pick-up, somehow, and additional $8 discount was added for inconvenience.- Stopher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ah I should have done that. Picked it up without calling 1st. I didn't know they did that.
- l33tbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I tried to use it at my local CC, but they wouldn't even help me locate the HD-DVD drive, even though there systems showed they had 2 in stock. So I never got a chance to use the coupon. Oh well. I'll try back later.
- Stopher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For some reason they don't keep them on the floor. You have to talk to one of the clerks and pay for it and they give it too you at the pickup window. Maybe they think it's too small and expensive to leave out in the open.
- ChicagoGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Worked for me in the Chicago area.
The only store who had it was out in Naperville. While I was there my girlfriends mom asked if I would pickup a TV for her. The printout also had a coupon for 10% off TV's so I was able to even use that one. Neither would scan, but they manager just came over and typed them in.
I am considering printing out another copy and going to a different store. Maybe a DS lite and some games.......anoyone thinking about this should get on it soon before CC realizes that thousands were used in the last few days.- mehron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I totally second that! I went to the Orland Hills location and it worked. I picked up the last HD DVD player for the 360.
Before purchasing, I asked if they would honor the coupon, the associate replied with a: "Why wouldn't we? You're welcome to use our coupons on our store!" She was really nice and funny, asking if we were hyped about the PS3, etc.
I took pictures too, just in case there were any non-believers.
- mehron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I totally second that! I went to the Orland Hills location and it worked. I picked up the last HD DVD player for the 360.
- santora, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I just picked up the last one in Burbank, CA. Coupon was giving them a small headache, said it was coming up "weird, but it should work." The manager came by, hit his authorization code and voila! HDdvd player. Great find and thanks.
- bossmanmedia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I printed this out and took it there and they couldnt' scan it but they called someone else and typed it in. Got the player for around 170
- shil01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1THIS WORKED! THANK YOU WHOMEVER POSTED THIS!
$159 for an HD Player whooohoo!!!! Thats 20% off! Also works with my PC!!! Connected it up to Vista RC2 and Vista had the drivers included!
Cant play a movie yet because i need to get a HD-DVD program tho. - witz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks to original poster - worked for me as well. A nice little random thing. HD-DVD for $159 is a no-brainer.
- mcquitty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I tried using it at the Frisco, TX CC yesterday. It didn't work. The cashier had said he had problems with them before. But, he took $40 off anyway. So, definately worth a try.
- ManJoos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Worked here in NJ. I went to one store yesterday and a guy in front of me grabbed the last HD DVD. I passed the coupon on to him and wished him luck. I then tried it in the Philly store and it worked perfectly. Wouldn't scan, but the rep said he needed to get the manager's authorization. Waited 20 mins for the entire transaction to get done, but it was worth the wait. BTW, the sales rep said that these coupons were "rare."
- nixm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just got mine today...thanks...it's soooo sweet getting $40 off....
- DorothyMacaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I worked for me too. $159 plus tax out the door.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!! - hmbldtgrl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0THANKS SOOOO MUCH! I printed it out the coupon and went in there last night. I wanted to make sure to get in there before the crazy after thanksgiving sales started. I asked a sells person if they had the Xbox360 HD and he took me right over to it. The last one left too. (the one in Fremont, CA) Said I'll take it then he rang it up. Showed him the coupon and he keyed it in (it didn't scan like others said) with no problems and handed it right back to me. He didn't even bink at the sight of this printed out coupon. He even gave me an extra 10% off..WOOHOO! Thanks for posting this! I got the best of deals on this present for my sweetie. He'll be loving it and I saved a bundle..can't beat that
- UnoEfe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This worked for a friend of mine too. Unfortunately, I already had an HD-DVD drive.
- fxmartini, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Back to $199, but at least you can get Free Shipping at:
