  • xakto, on 03/11/2008, -2/+5Moved from MT to wordpress in 2003 and have never looked back, I just found the flat file system to be a bit of a pain, having to render my site every time I fixed a typo. Also the plugins are so prolific on wordpress there is something for everyone, i particularly like the mobile plugins that render your site to any mobile device.
  • michaelkpate, on 03/11/2008, -2/+2I played around with the Open Source version immediately. There are still certain things I miss about MT but waiting for the site to rebuild isn't one of them. If they ever come out with a totally-PHP implementation, I might seriously consider switching back.

    And BTW, when WordPress goes down to high volume, it's the user's fault. Anyone with a brain can handle a digg.
  • Skitzzo, on 03/11/2008, -3/+3Does this come off as petty and pathetic to anyone else? MT only has themselves to blame for not open sourcing earlier. That's why WP is, and will continue to be, THE blogging platform.

  • supatclub, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0I love movable type as it generates the file of home page. The site downloads very quickly and faster than WP. I used to play with WP I found it 's very slow and it takes database to display the home page. I love MT
