An Investigation lead by the Digg Community
newassignment.net — If anything this incident doesn ’t prove that there is a bury brigade, but that Digg users are passionate about their community and are willing to investigate possible flaws themselves. Watch out Kevin Rose, your Digg-army has grown up and they want to be self-sufficient.

- canewediggit, on 10/22/2007, -10/+15dave, thank you for the "doesn't prove" note, because none of those posts proved anything other than people bury stories. there was no connection between stories buried or users burying them, and the data was false and inaccurate.
my spam comment on anything related to this topic- as noted in http://digg.com/tech_news/Digg_s_Bury_Data_Exposed#c5459347 this data is wrong. i don't go around posting false info about your data, so until you guys get the CORRECT data, quit posting inaccuracies with my name on it.- DisposableRob, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Wow, this is the first i've heard of it. I'm not surprised I'm on the burying list, but I agree that the original list is way incorrect as I count at least 7 article that I know for a fact that I didn't bury.
- DigiDave, on 10/22/2007, -4/+19How did this story get burried so fast?
This is why the bury button has gotten out of control. We can't even discuss it now. Digg has a serious flaw and we don't get the means to discuss it.- DigiDave, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12Unless of course -- Digg wants to bury anything that points to the "offending" articles.
I hate to be a conspiracy nut -- but it does appear that all submissions related to these events are getting buried. I don't think censorship is the key... especially in a democratic community. - canewediggit, on 10/22/2007, -5/+18i think there have been too many articles in too short a time span about this topic. people, myself included, are tired of this non-story, and i took great offense to having my name tossed out there with invalid information. not to mention wasting a bunch of time finding all the articles and posting comments so i can clear my name.
i dugg this one because you had at least had the smarts to say there was no proof. but those other stories are claiming proof with inaccurate data, and they deserved to be buried. as to digg itself censoring, who knows?

With all the recent talk of Digg being biased and a swarm of users who bury anything against their ideological standings, its actually reassuring to know that a network of Digg users has risen up to try and get to the bottom of this."
This isn't reporting. It's opinion -- and a dumb one at that. - xTRUMANx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I have a weird sort of idea. How about yet another digg clone where such articles are to be discussed because it seems that there isn't a chance for it to be discussed here. i propose bury.com
Edit: Please don't ban me Kev... ahhh ***** it. I only use my account to comment anyways and rarely digg and never bother burying.- LowRentDiggs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"I have a weird sort of idea. Those sites already exist. One of the reasons I have enjoyed Digg to this point is that it has been an escape from all the partisanship and xenophobia that is rampant on the web. There has been some of that in the past but it's been easy enough to ignore.
Now that war has been declared on Digg by groups submitting the same type of story over and over with highly inflammatory titles and descriptions, It has really degraded the system. I wish they would go back to the attack dog site bans so these losers would leave.- crxvfr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I think that a good idea too. It would be like googles supplemental listings.

- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Okay, I'm a little sick of ***** like you bitching that your story didn't make the front page.Kiss my ass you gaming ***** and go submit a real story, and stop trying to perpetuate a non-existant diggspiracy
- plannters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5194 diggs and still in not on the front page, democracy at work.
- Poexxx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It's a shame really. I mean burying something because it sucks is one thing, but the trend to bury things simply because they are not agreed with, or all the duplicate linking exploit just to get topics you disagree with banned isn’t just juvenile, it is a kind of censorship that will have the opportunities provided by these online sites spiral down the bowl as people generally don’t want to deal with that kind of nonsense as is, particularly not when the anus's have the anonymity of the internet to hide there actions behind.
