An "average joe" example of ranking #1 on Google.com without an SEO expert
ronaldlewis.com — A good, everyday overview of how I was able to achieve a #1 and #2 ranking on Google.com -- out of 14,300,000+ possiblities -- without any "SEO expert" or so-called "know-it-alls".

- digginghacker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"I believe the reason I've achieved this ranking -- out of 14,300,000 possibilities -- is because of the following:
1. Owning ronaldlewis.com
2. Using my name frequently throughout all of my web pages
3. Being referenced at highly-visible web sites
4. Some 'luck' "
That's it, that's all it says, no need to make the jump.
People who digg their own stories piss me off (even though I'm sure I'd do the same thing). - RonaldLewis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's not a crime to digg your own story. If you don't do it, who else will? It's an opportunity to share something of interest with others. Otherwise, no one would have "dugg" it all, correct?
- digginghacker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I agree, and I'd be doing the same thing, but it still pisses me off.
- petesy71, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0But the big burning question is, if you were to do a search on a major search engine, such as Google, for podcast technology superior, where do you appear? Nowhere really. Getting a number one ranking is not hard if all you are searching for is the words in your domain name. Getting your website to the top of the listings using keyword searches such as the ones I mentioned is way more difficult, and that is where SEO comes into its own. It is a common mistake most people make, so dont feel too bad. For information on how to achieve that kinda success, check out my site at www.seo-ni.com. Take care.
