Digg.com - Digging Their Own Grave
anotherstupidblog.net — As I wrote ealier, I was banned from Digg.com for supposed script usage. Well, as it turns out, I wasn ’t alone. It appears that Digg also banned over fifty more of us at the same time. None of us received any warning. No second chances. Hell, even trying to email Digg’s staff was a lost cause, as they called the actions “irriversable”.

- thegrantman, on 10/13/2008, -0/+16Look man,she doesn't want to talk to you anymore.
These late night calls have to end.
Breaking up is hard.
It hurts but we move on.
There's another girl out there for you.
Maybe her name is Reddit........- basye, on 10/13/2008, -0/+6or Mixx.
- nohero, on 10/13/2008, -0/+11I remember D14Bl0, he was a total *****. Just kidding twas cool, but just make a new account, and don't use scripts... it's easy as hell to be a power user.
- curtisblow, on 10/13/2008, -0/+5I've heard they will ban your next account if you come back ;););)
- DrDigg, on 10/13/2008, -5/+2Or you could just not use scripts and then you don't have to worry about getting banned.
- EmitStop, on 10/13/2008, -0/+6I get the feeling someone didn't read the article. He didn't use scripts.
- WhiskeyWrites, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2I get the impression he wasn't reading articles he was digging either. He commented on another article defending someone who said they would quickly read the description and then digg without ever really reading the content.
http://digg.com/tech_news/Diggstapo - DrDigg, on 10/13/2008, -1/+1I did read the article and I don't believe that anyone who was banned was not either using scripts or trying to abuse the system.

- basye, on 10/13/2008, -1/+2That's not true, and now it's obvious you aren't reading the articles and comments in their entirety (or only seeing what you want to see).
I know of a number of people who were banned and were *not* using scripts. One can only deduce that if Digg *thinks* your stats show evidence of using a script, they are lumping you into that category out of sheer laziness.

- AlaskaLoneWolf, on 10/13/2008, -2/+1I personally think it hilarious. I mean, do you really think anyone will have sympathy for someone who abuses a free service, for whatever reason, slowing down everyone else's service, causing problems with the engine and basically being a prick. I guess, being a prick is your god given right. Being a scriptie isn't. For the kids that don't know why he was BANNED for "no reason" here is some homework:
